I glance up and see one of the----no, THE scariest thing known to mankind.
There was a fairly tall male, with dark crimson horns protruding from the sides of his head, in a long, jet black, trench coat and deep salmon hair, glaring daggers, right at me.
His onyx orbs pierced through my soul within the pitch, causing me to feel uneasy.
I stand up tremulously, my chocolate brown eyes widening in a state of complete fright.
"H-he is my father."
I respond, trying to stop my voice from wavering.
"Did I ask of your relation?"
He replies, a malevolent voice that I could barely stand to hear.
"Please, let him go."
I beg, trying to sound braver than I actually am.
"And why would I do that?"
He growls, his eyebrow raising condescendingly.
"....I-....I shall let you keep me instead, just please, return my father!"
I cry out, unaware that I just made a deal with a possible physcopath.
He ponders in serious thought for a second before answering with a short and simple,
"Alright."
In schock, I look back up as he unlocks the barred-door to my father's cell.
'I didn't see a lock!'
I whine inwardly, puffing out my cheeks.
He scrambles out of the restricting cell and shakily runs over to me.
"Lucilin!"
He hugs me and I feel something wet, stream down my cheeks.
"Father."
I sniffle, my eyes watering with salty tears.
"Lucilin, please, be careful."
He holds onto my shoulders, staring into my eyes with genuine, caring ones.
I nod and watch as he scampers away.
I gulp once again, glancing over to the man who hadn't made a single noise in over five minutes.
Man?
No...
Person.
Yea, that's it.
Person.
"Am I going to be...executed?"
I inquire, shivering lightly.
"You are in my custody as of now, so I will not inflict any harm on you. However, if you try to escape from this manor, I will not prohibit myself to do so."
He motions for me to follow him down the dim hallway, so I do so, reluctantly.
"By the way, I never became aware of your name."
I glimpse up at him and give him a warm smile, trying to lighten the obvious fog of tension in the air.
"Natsu.."
He looks dead forward, a nonchalant stare present on his face.
"I'm Lucilin Heartfilia. But if you would prefer Lucy, I also accept that term."
I grin brighter, the wave of fear washing off of me.
He stops abruptly, his eyes widening in shock.
He gulp and shakes his head, proceeding to walk faster.
"What's the matter?"
I ask, my legs growing tired.
"Nothing, you just remind me of someone."
He shrugs, speaking lowly.
After a while of strolling down the seemingly perpetual corridors, I become exhausted, my pace growing sedated.
Without even a word, Natsu picked me up and adjusted me on his back.
"T-Thank you."
I pant out, wrapping my arms around his neck.
"Don't expect me to always be this cordial, Lucilin."
He grits his teeth, emphasizing that he was not interested in bonding a relationship with me.
