Horrid realizations

(Sorry I am late with this but I doubt the one reader cares

Tw: rape is a big thing in this one, especially one of a child. Nothing is graphic but its said.
Self harm)

Alex wakes up due to his earliest alarm ready for work. He works as he does every day. He doesn't really want to have that meeting. At all. Not that he hates Sophie. He has no true opinion on her. He doesn't want her unhappy but that's just his opinion on a majority of the population.

He doesn't even attempt to get control via his appearance, not doing much besides covering gruesome scarring on his face as usual. He also decided to apply it down his neck. Despite his preference for turtlenecks he doesn't really want to make it uncomfortable.  Mori seems to not notice inappropriate questions and while he knows they mean well, he'd rather not talk about that. Alex isn't someone to be open and bright. He doesn't remember a time before… people using him, but he couldn't imagine himself to have been more confident then. After all, Kat never cared about him like a mother should. Kat isn't a mother.

The thought of her makes him sick. He hates this day already. But he pushes himself up. He pushes himself every single second at work. It's painful. He feels like he will pass out any moment. His head is too light. He stumbles around, his leg hurting so much more. He wants to cry. But he doesn't. He holds his head high and bears the pain. Like all those years. Every single day. Until he falls. Not even a trip, just fall. He tries to get back up. Just a little bit more. Just pushing himself until that plan and afterwards doesn't matter. He doesn't think he can continue on much longer, clinging to someone's fence. The owner looks outside, but upon seeing hurries to help him. He doesn't look who it is. The woman, as he assumed from the feel of her steps, seems worried for him. Almost motherly, she helps him up. Though it's likely Alex warped perception of motherhood. "There you go. Do you have any pain?" "No, sorry for bothering you. Thank you for the help." He runs away as soon as he can stand. He doesn't want to bug anyone that long.

He makes sure his gift is intact before ringing Sophie's doorbell. She answers. "Hello. Please enter."

As she sees Alex struggling to walk, she immediately takes his bag off of him.
"Almost there" she tries to sound extra sisterly, not out of guilt but because she feels like he deserves at least kind treatment from someone, when the rest of the world doesn't. "I promise this talk won't be anything you dont want. Tell me no when you have a issue." Her demeanor is different, as if she doesn't have a cold front anymore. Almost like his own. Probably very similar to his.

"Sorry for being quite cruel. I didn't mean to be that cold."

"Don't worry about it. I have something for you." He takes the bag of candy out of his bag. "You as a child liked those."

She smiles. "You really remembered that? Yes, I still like them. What a thoughtful younger brother I have"

"Sophie, I am barely an hour younger. But thank you."

Her face is fully relaxed. "Do you like tea? Mori adores it. They are really adorable when they are excited."

"Thank you." Comes from Mori, whose cheeks took a pinkish color. He didn't register their presence.

He notices Sophie's pink fairy dust sprinkled everywhere. She seems truly at peace. "Thank you for coming again." Mori leaves to make tea.

"You wear quite a lot of makeup. Not that it looks bad. I just noticed. I am well aware of what your face looks like."

"I don't want to talk about myself. I'd prefer not to at the very least."

"Then it's my turn." Sophie stretches. She usually wears something with ruffles., this time shorts. She wears a cardigan and a blouse as well which isn't without frills.

Mori is dressed very Mori, just clearly in a house way, as they just wear a dress. Its knee length, a characteristically Mori thing. As Well as quite covered up. It's nothing he doesn't do himself but knowing someone's past makes you question basic actions. He hopes they enjoy the way they dress.

Mori also has an arm around Sophie, as if to protect her. Alex understands them well.

However a small spark of jealousy pops up. Not over dating Mori or his sister, he is into neither of them. But to have someone look at him like they look at each other would be nice.

Well, he has someone interested in him. Somehow. He doesn't know a quality that would make him attractive,  assuming you aren't into scars littering someone's whole body. Viktor doesn't seem like the type of man to be into someone he could feel a sense of superiority over.

Alex knows people who went through vaguely similar things then himself. With a similar need for control. He also seems to keep getting those that want a sense of superiority over another victim.  A sense of power over another victim of the same crime. A subtle: I am better than you. Just that. Nothing more. A small advantage. Alex doesn't like it, but he endures.

He likes that neither is weaker than the other. Their tenderness isn't based on one being stronger. None is stronger or weaker. They are both equal.

•••Mori•••

Mori thinks. They don't often think fondly of people, the best example is Sophie. They adore her. Mori would do a lot of things. They wouldn't oppose their own morals but they know Sophie wouldn't ask anything of them she knows they are against. Sophie wouldn't push them. They'd even steal the stars for her, if she wanted them. They'd do nearly everything she asked.

Mori also loves Porter, though it's a different love. The type you feel for a older sibling, who protects and loves you. They still feel guilty about the elderly vampire incident, despite not telling anyone.

They stretch. Mori doesn't easily trust but they trust Sophie. They think about her a little.

Mori views the world as quite cold. While they cannot phantom what others went through, they can tell it's morally wrong. They can't feel what others feel. They also don't really feel bad about it. They only barely do with those they are close to. Mori doesn't feel like others. But that's fine. Mori doesn't need to feel like anyone else. They don't want to.

Mori has their arms around the soft fairy. They are worried for her. Her voice is shaky. "Well, I promised to tell you about it, right?"

"I don't really care." Alex said matter of factly. "I can imagine."

Suddenly Mori starts glowing, like they just used their ability. They hold their head, groaning in pain. "God, I never had that many possible death prophecies roll in. Jesus Christ, Alex, can't you live more carefully…" Mori choked on their own words at the end. Usually with their ability the deathages show first, then what almost killed them. It's a sort of vision, which usually rolls over with deeper contact or just a new Vision coming in, needing them to know all past ones for some reason. But usually they assume carelessness from the child. Not this. Not a child almost dying because being raped. Not that much. Not even once. They are reminded of things they almost forgot. "Fuck, i am so sorry. I thought you were careless not… not… not this."

•••Alex•••

"I don't need a sorry." The words are choked out. Alex is terrified. Horrified. They know too much. He needs to get out. Sophie extends a hand but he pulls away. "Don't touch me! Keep your hands away!" His voice gets slightly higher, and he nearly screams. He hurries out as quickly as he can. He can't trust them. It's not an option. He can't trust anyone he isn't 100% sure won't harm him. He has seen his own blood over the floor too many times to let someone have that much power.

It makes him sick. He needs to get control back. Thoughts flash through his head, with varying possible impacts on him. He eventually settles on getting some more fairy wings. He needs to fill his glass anyways. It's not a nice way to gain control. It's painful and almost aggressive to get, however he needs to get control and it helps others. It doesn't matter how much it hurts if he helps others. It was originally intended as a punishment even for one of the people he had bitten. Kat would be angry seeing him use it to cope.

It's one of the worst methods, but it grounds him temporarily. Another option would be to tell someone and let that person talk him out of the panic attack but he wont. He forced himself onto someone in the past.

Wait

Maybe that could work?
It's just trying to magically relive one of those experiences. He wouldn't force anyone to take care of him.

Alex has a questionable view of forcing, especially in relation to himself. Usually it's just an odd way of what's force and what's not. He seems to forget how many times Viktor indeed assured him that they wanted to help him. How many times he promised Alex would one day get out. And he did. He got out. Injured and tired, but he isn't under Kats tyrannical… order seemed more fitting then parenting. He doesn't think how happy the other was at the sheer fact he was alive.

He doesn't question if those men did it forcefully though, he knows. He has a warped self image, he won't defend rapists tho. It disgusts him.

Something about him never feels whole. At least not truly. It feels like they stole little parts of him. He doesn't like that feeling. He is worried about missing parts of himself.

He eventually arrives at home..

He just needs to forget the unpleasant things for a while

(I hope you enjoyed, sorry it was later then usual
