Chapter XVII

Absentmindedly running his hand through Kiera's hair, Jak awaited for any sign of her reawakening. Ever since Kruphix and Vadina left, Kiera has shifted from incomprehensibility to a state of unconsciousness. Despite the bright side of her no longer hurting herself and saying how worthless she was and that they should just ditch her like everyone else, now it was just dead silence. Now that he felt Kruphix's beacon on Jake, he knew exactly where the bastard was, but he ignored it for obvious reasons. Realizing the Order was no more, he tried to wake his wife up once more.

"Please, Kiera...don't die on me yet. They're gone! The Order of The Black Moon is dead." He whispered, staying as calm as he could. "Despite that, we still have so many people we need to kill together. Without you...it'll never be the same. No one else can help me get into the zone better than you, slaughtering whole cities wouldn't be nearly as fun without you killing them with me." Still no response. "Come on Kiera, you know you can't leave me alone with Kruphix, now he won't rant to both of us anymore, I'll have to deal with his shit alone now."

"If anything, I have to deal with you, you know." From behind Jak, a portal opened and revealed Jak's brother-in-law as well as his adopted daughter. "How's Kiera? Is she awake? I assume you saw my beacon?"

"I have no fucking clue, not yet, and yes I did. All we can do is be patient."

"There must be something we can do to help ma! Is there not anything we can do? You're the God of the Mind, can't you do something?"

"Do you think I haven't tried?" Jak said coldly, gripping Kiera's hand tightly. "There, is nothing I can do, and it's so damn frustrating that it's true. Yes, I can delve into her mind, but it's just so beyond fragile right now, that the slightest thing could end up killing her. We just have to wait, and pray that she'll live. As it stands, she is alive, albeit barely."

"And all she knows of me is that I'm an ignorant little shit that doesn't care if his sister is being raped almost daily and doesn't deserve to be invited to her own fucking wedding! Gods DAMMIT!" He roared as he punched a nearby tree and it immediately exploded into splinters. "Kiera please..." He knelt down beside her and shifted her head so she would be looking into his eyes if they were open. "Please, wake up. I'm so fucking sorry. Please forgive me for being such a fucking dumbass."

After a few seconds, there was actually a reply. "W-what...what happened?" With a crack, Kiera's mouth finally moved, and she stretched her neck with another series of cracks.

"Kiera!" Kruphix ran over and knelt down next to his sister. "You're alright!"

"Of course I am, why wouldn't I be?"

Kruphix grabbed her shoulders and pulled her from Jak into a hug. "Because you've been all but dead for the last several hours! Why wouldn't I be happy to see you?"

"Be-because I've been nothing but a pain in your ass your whole life? I mean, come on, I honestly don't see why you'd want to do that. After this, I'm just going to keep being a pai-"

"Just shut the fuck up and hug me already." Kruphix interrupted her as he just squeezed her tighter. "Not only are you my own sister, but you're my twin sister. Under any circumstance, I would gladly lay down my own life your your sake any day! So please, stop acting like you don't 'deserve' shit when it's just something that you had from the beginning!

"O...okay, bro." Kiera laughed as she hugged him back."

"Besides..." Jak tapper her on the shoulder. "If he didn't do it, I would have gladly done it anyways!"

At this, she just broke down, she fell back into Jak's embrace bawling out all of the pain she had held for so, very long. After a couple minutes, she finally stopped

"Well, I know you would, stupid. You're always doing dumb shit for me." She looked up, and as she did, her normally steel-grey eyes were now grey with a ring of blue around the pupil.

"Hey ma...what happened to your eyes?"

"Well, my mind has finally accepted my body and we are now one being, instead of separate. Now come here, you look lonely over there. Give me a hug already!"

"About time you said it!" her tail twitched back and forth with a pout on her face that was quickly replaced with a smile as she dived into the group-hug.

"I'm so lucky to have you guys! I love you all so much."

"And us, you." Kruphix reassured her.

"I have an idea!" Kiera gasped before letting go of everyone.

"I am intrigued"

"What have you done now?"

"What is it Ma?" Everyone chimed in at once.

"We should celebrate!" She clapped her hands together and bounced on her tip-toes.

"Like a party?"

"No, not just a party: a celebration! Complete with suits, dresses, a bar, and high-quality food!"

"Do I make anything less than the finest quality?" Kruphix feigned being insulted.

"Well..." Jak said, leaning against a tree. "It has been a while since I showed off my sick dance moves."

"I assume my barista skills will be needed once more?" Kruphix clarified.

"Yes they will. And even better, now that I actually have friends, we can actually invite people over!" Since Kruphix gave his 'are you really gonna do that thing' look, she reassured him. "I'm not gonna tell them where the island is, dummy! I'll just send the invite, and if they accept, I'll just take them them to the island via portal."

"Okay, that's good. Well, preparations need to be made, I guess. I shall arrange what we'll be eating and drinking." He then turned around and walked into the mansion to start on the food.

"I'm on invitations, so if you want anybody here, just tell me." She as well vanished in a cloud of smoke to assumedly start making formal invitations.

"I guess that leaves us for decorations, Dina."

"Yes it does! And I have the perfect ideas for this! And since we're Gods now, I don't have to worry about hurting anyone, right?"

"Very true. Or decoration-management; your imagination is quite literally the limit here, just think about them and they will appear."

"Nice! Come on! We need to get this done!"

"Okay Dina! Let's go!"

And so, the new family prepared themselves for a long future ahead of themselves. However, if any of you this this is the end, I beg you to reconsider: for this is on the mere begining of a truly epic tale of angels, demons, wolves, and everything in between...
