Third POV.

Anaya was working on some case in her cabin. It was a normal day for her, but something is unsettling today...she doesn't know but it was like her heart is at unease.

"Dr. Gill..."

A nurse was standing at her door with a file...

"Huh..yes..um..yes Sandra what is it...?" Anaya asked coming out of her thoughts...

"Ma'am patient is waiting should I send her in...? " Sandra looked at her in uncertainty...

"Um...Yes...Yes of course...." Anaya said and start looking at her laptop again...

"Ma'am you ok...I can make them wait for 5 minutes if you want..." Sandra asked with concern.....

"No..No..I am ok send them in..." Anaya said with a small smile...

Sandra nods and just like that Anaya got busy with her daily schedule. Sandra has worked as a nurse for so many years and she has assisted Anaya from the time Anaya joined the hospital, she also knows her past a little bit. But the girl has changed drastically. The cheerful and carefree girl is lost somewhere, she is like Robert now, the refreshing girl is missed somewhere.

Sandra looked at smiling Anaya and shake her head, again that fake smile what unlucky that lost this gem.....

"May I come in Dr. Krish.."

Krish was working in his office, he looks up and smiles at the person. Taking off his spectacles he gestures to the man to come in leaning back in his leather chair he raises his brow...

"Dr. Richards what bring you here...I am sure you were busy in a case for the past two days with Dr. Smith I presume..."

"Well yes...that's why I am here actually ....umm...Dr. Krish..umm there is one problem...actually Dr. Smith was handling this case and I was helping him but he got a call that his wife is diagnosed with blood cancer so he is leaving today....and..and now I don't know what to do, this case is very delicate....this is a child we are dealing with..."

Krish was listening to Dr. Richards attentively, the case of a small girl who was diagnosed with CHD at this age, she was a premature child therefore her organs was not developed fully, plus it was not a minor case the blockage is major...

"Hmm.. so this child is admitted to the hospital for the past 2 days.....Ok let me see what I can do, I will ask my assistant to arrange my appointment for tomorrow with her parents...I mean her father as you said is a single parent....." Krish gave an assuring smile to the Doctor and start typing on his laptop.

"Yes of course, plus he is a silent partner in hospital with a major stake in our hospital so this is just not some ordinary case...I hope you understand Dr. Krish...." Dr. Richards said in a serious tone...

Krish smiled at the doctor and said.....

"For me, no case is special or general...I take every case and every surgery seriously. Plus here a child is involved and as a father and a family man I know how important our loved ones are for us.......so don't worry, just mail me the detail of the patient with medical history......." he again gave a look to the doctor and resume his work...

"Umm...there is one more thing doctor...if we could just contact Dr. Gill for this case, I know what you will say...I know he is retired from his job but, you know he is the best...and in this case, we need the best....that's why I am here..." Dr. Richards looks at him suggestively.....

Krish nods, after Dr. Richards went out he sighs....how is he going to approach Dr. Vikram Gill....let's just first check the medical history and details of this patient...

Anaya was packing her this when Krish knocks on her door...

"Hey....ready to go..."

Anaya smiled and shows her bag to him, they went inside the parking lot and went to their destination...

Anaya turns to Krish who was driving the car...

"So...I heard that you are going to handle the case Dr. Smith and Dr. Richards were handling...."

"Yup...Dr. Smith's wife is unwell...so I am taking the case...this child is diagnosed with CHD and its major blockage....so yeah...Dr. Richards is going to mail me the details today...."

"Ohh...poor kid..wait..that means you are going to work all night and I am going to have a sleepover with Ved and Kuku.....wow..." Anaya said with excitement...

Krish smiled and shook his head....sleepover....yeah right more like a party with a cartoon channel and a lot of junk food. He has three kids to manage now that Sid has a girlfriend he is mostly out.

Anaya rang the bell while Krish was standing beside her...

As the door opened Anaya gave a bright smile to Rosy the housekeeper....entering the hall she saw Vedika cuddling Ansh and they were watching one movie. Anaya stands before the screen looking at them. Vedika and Ansh glare at her...Krish smile shakes his head at them and kisses both Vedika and Ansh's head plopping on a single sofa beside them...

"Anaya steps aside we are in the middle of something...."Vedika said more like threatening her...and Ansh nods at her mother's words...

"Gem...get a side you are blocking the screewn..." Ansh winches...

"Well, I have super, thrilling good news...." Anaya said folding her hand and eying them...

"What...are you going on a date finally..." Vedika asked with excitement. Anaya makes a face and shakes her head negatively...Vedika's face fell and she said in a boring tone

"Then we are not interested...."

"What if I say today we can do anything as we please ..without this Hitler over here....." Anaya said pointing at Krish...

Krish glared at her and throws a cushion in Anaya's direction...she dodged it showing him her thumb. Vedika and Ansh sat straight and smile like they saw Santa on Diwali...

"Are we having a sleepover..." They both yell in excitement to which Anaya nods...

They all start screaming and dancing in excitement...this is like a tradition to them, whenever Krish goes for night shift or work the late-night they use to have a blast night with no rules....because Krish makes sure they eat healthily, sleep on time every day, he took care of all four of them as, small kids.

Krish groans, so much love for him, a father...a brother, and last but not least a husband. But a smile broke on his face looking at his small world...

His family

They all have their dinner with lots of chatting, laughing...

Krish went to his home office, whereas Anaya takes Vedika and Ansh with her to their special room. Where they always have their sleepover. Arrangements were already done by the house helpers.

One thing that doesn't change is that Krish and Vedika never step into Anaya's room. And they all know the reason.

Krish was in his study when he received the mail from Dr. Richards.......He read the medical history of the Child briefly and sigh, whole night he was busy with the medical history and his research that he forgot to read the basic details of the patient.

Next day,

Krish and Anaya wave at Vedika and Ansh as they went to the hospital,

"So ready for the day...." Anaya asked driving the car as today Krish was busy on his phone regarding the case.

Krish nods and signals her to focus on the road. He dialed the number and said

"Yes Dr. Richards, Good Morning...Yes sorry I didn't read the personal detail of the patient...yes arrange the meeting at 12 o'clock...ok no issue I will directly meet the father, no problem we will discuss the case face to face...and what is the name of the patient again.....ok..yeah see you...." He disconnects the call.

Anaya gave him a look, he smiled at her and looks out...

"So what is the child's name...I mean your patient..." she said looking ahead while driving...

" ARYANA....more detail will be given by her father....he is a single parent...I am meeting him today to discuss her case... it's more complicated than I thought, I have to check her sooner rather than later .." Krish sigh and looks out...

Anaya put her palm on his shoulder and said,

"She will be fine...don't worry...."

Krish sigh.....

Anaya looks to another side, her palm went sweaty unknowingly, again this unsettling feeling.

Why...

What is going to happen.....

And this child.....hope it will be fine soon...

"Aryana...." Anaya mumbles slowly...

Why this name feels so familiar...

She was unaware that a storm was coming....and soon everything was going to change...
