Chapter 24

________

Minseo sat behind the wheel, Kyoji in the passenger seat, and Inha and Hyerim in the back. The car was practically shaking as Minseo turned on some music and had it at stupidly high volume.

Hyerim and Minseo sang along in a passionate duet, whereas Inha stayed quiet and stared out the window at the busy streets of night time Seoul. Kyoji sat there, contemplating about murdering the singing pair. He bit his tongue and thought he should store the anger and use it for later, when he can actually kill people.

"Your mic isn't on you idiot." Taeyang could be heard saying. Everyone frowned as they were confused if he was talking to them or not. "Your specialty is high-tech weapons, yet you forget to turn your mic on." He spoke again. "Are you kidding me? It's that button there." He whined. "High-tech my ass..."

The ride was short but felt like an eternity to one of them. They pulled right up to a gate that would have allowed them access right onto the airfield. They stopped in front of the gates and Minseo turned the music down, rolling down the window also.

He leaned so his head was out the car and smiled nicely at the man in a booth next to the gates. Minseo pulled out a card from his suit jacket and flashed it at the man. The man nodded and pressed a button which opened the mesh wire doors.

They drove down the airfield until a familiar blonde standing next to part of the airport building was visible. They drove over and stopped next to her. Kyoji's mood lightened as he saw her small smiling face.

They all got out the car and walked up to Momo who met them half way. She was holding a small book in her hand and dressed smartly as usual. Her short black dress was paired up with a dark khaki thigh length coat, and black heels. Kyoji had to stop himself from looking her up and down, mentally slapping himself when he felt tempted. She just looked so beautiful.

Minseo walked over to her and gave her a hug like he always does, exchanging happy greetings and compliments about their attires.

"I'm loving the casual suit." She said and gestured to Minseo's clothes. A smug look plastered itself to his face and he took a step back, opening his arms out so everyone could get a good look at his clothes. He had a tight black shirt, with matching skinny suit pants and a jacket.

"Why the fuck are you wearing a suit?" Kyoji asked bluntly.

"You dress nicely to funerals don't you?" Minseo stated. Hyerim laughed at his words and Inha just rolled her eyes and started to scan the area and plan their attack. Kyoji physically cringed and didn't even know how to respond.

"You're a joke." Taeyang's voice said into their ears.

"You wore a suit just to make that joke?" Kyoji asked, knowing the answer was 'yes' already.

"You gotta put the work in sometimes Hanzo." He said and patted him on his shoulder. "Right, Momo. What do we need to know?" He asked and turned to face her properly now.

She cleared her throat and brushed a stray strand of hair that fell across her face from her low ponytail behind her ear. Her cold and numb hands fiddled with her note book, flicking through the pages trying to find the right one.

"Ah okay..." She said to herself as she found it. "So the jet should be here at 1AM, so practically right now. There are business men it says here, but I can deal with them as usual. Also I confirmed that this is their only jet they use for weapon importing, so you know once this is done they can't bring anymore in or export anymore out." She said with a proud smile. Kyoji's lips turned up slightly at the corners, her smile's contagious.

"Swot" Taeyang commented, knowing Momo couldn't hear him. The others decided to ignore it.

"Look at you going the extra mile!" Minseo sang and wrapped an arm around her small shoulders when she giggled at his comment modestly. Kyoji immediately frowned at his actions. "Right so what's the plan?" He asked.

"I'll stay up there." Inha said and pointed to a building that was by another entrance to the airfield. "I can shoot from there if you guys get into trouble, but I'm pretty sure they'll use that entrance to get onto the airfield." She explained.

"And you know that how..?" Hyerim asked.

"It's got less security and is out of the way. It's just a guess really, but even if I'm wrong I'll be in a pretty good spot for covering you guys." She stated. They all nodded.

"I'll keep you posted about any vehicles coming your way Inej." Taeyang said. Inha nodded at his statement, forgetting he can't see her action.

"Well we should just walk on the jet, fuck 'em up, take some of their shit, then blow it up." Minseo said.

"I'll blow it up. It is my specialty after all." Hyerim said and held her head up, looking smug.

"Oh of course it is Lucky darling." Minseo said in an accent, trying to sound posh.

"There it is." Momo said and started to walk away, heading further onto the runway of the airfield. "Come on guys." She called as she strutted away.

Everyone followed Momo whereas Inha walked the opposite way, heading towards her chosen building.

The large jet had a blue giveaway stripe on on its rudder, screaming to them that it's a Nobody jet.

The jet had landed and moved to the usual spot it goes to when its cargo is being picked up.

The group made there way there and Momo clicked her fingers at some staff who knew immediately to bring over the stairs to get onto the jet. With the stairs in place and the workers gone, she immediately started to climb them.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Minseo commented in a menacing tone. Momo stopped and turned, looking down at him.

"And why is that?" She asked.

"If it's The Nobodies, it's obvious they know of this attack. The 'business men' aren't business men, let's be real." He said and laughed. "You walk on that plane and you're getting shot to pieces." He explained and paused for a moment. "That's why I'm going on first." He said and walked past her up the stairs.

"And why would you do that?" Kyoji asked, sounding bored.

"Because you can't see red on a black suit can you?" He joked and opened the door to the jet. He waited a moment and when nothing happened he leaped across the small open area and when into the bathroom opposite the jet door. Shots could be heard firing but none of the bullets hit their target.

Momo panicked and tried to go back down the stairs she went up, but Kyoji stopped her.

"You're probably safer here to be honest." He said. Her face looked confused but she nodded anyway. They clearly know what they're doing, so all she can do is follow them and hope they don't get her killed.

Hyerim rushed past the two of them so she was right by the jet door. She stuck her hand into the jet for a second, causing shots to fly right past her and Minseo. They both tried to hold in their laughter at the reaction they got, as it was too funny to them.

Minseo reached into a hidden pocket in his suit jacket and pulled out some darts which he dipped with different samples of new serums he's been experimenting with.

He took the blunt cover off one of them, exposing the sharp and poisoned tip. He got it so his hand was in prime position to throw it and nodded at Hyerim.

She nodded back and stuck her hand out again. As soon as the shots had stopped, Minseo peered around the bathroom door and threw the dart at the first guy he saw. He retreated back into his cover quickly and stayed quiet, waiting to hear screaming or something.

He started to lose hope after a couple of seconds, until a shrill screech filled the jet and his hopes.

"Fuck yeah." He muttered to himself. He looked at Hyerim who put her hand in and out again, but no bullets followed. She frowned and mindlessly stuck her head through the door and looked over to the henchmen.

"Oh." She mumbled. "Throw more." She whispered to Minseo who frowned but copied her action, looking to see three men huddled around the screeching man.

His body was flailing about uncontrollably and the skin around where the dart punctured his neck was going dark and severely infected.

Minseo got three more darts out and took off their caps. He stuck his tongue out the corner of his mouth in consentration and aimed carefully for the other men's necks. He hit them all and laughed at their stupidity of being so easily distracted.

All men were now dealing with different types of deadly reactions caused by the chemists experiments. They were his guinea pigs.

He strolled out and Hyerim followed him as he walked down the corridor of the jet and into the large lounge area.

There was a second part which they knew was where the weapons were being kept. They smirked at each other before they stepped over the dying men who were in agony, heading for the door to collect some much needed weapons.

"Hanzo, careful. There are some cars driving in soon. They don't look too friendly, along with being suspiciously blue." Taeyang warned.

Usually Kyoji wouldn't have been too bothered with the situation, but now he has Momo to protect and look after; he felt like he had extra pressure on him. He really couldn't fuck up now.

Inha heard Taeyang's warning through her earpiece as she stood up on the roof of the building. She reached in the back pocket of her tight leather pants and pulled out her mask, placing it on her face.

She looked around the roof and the nearby area to use to block the incoming cars. Her eyes caught onto some crates that were sitting on a ledge a little lower down from where she was.

"They're close to pulling in by the entrance you're at Inej." Taeyang's voice informed. She stood up on her tip-toes to try and identify the cars, but she heard them before she saw them. They were loud, and she had to move quickly as they must be close.

She turned around and leaped from ledge to rooftop to another ledge until she got to the crates that seemed bigger now she was right next to them. The engine of the cars got louder and she knew she had to move faster.

She pressed her shoulder against the wooden crate and tried to push them. They moved slightly which didn't satisfy her at all. She changed her position so her back was flat against the surface, using her legs to try and push her back. Again, it did nothing as her shoes skidded on the metal surface.

She stepped back from the crates and looked around to see if there was anything to help her out. The engines roaring getting louder and her time running out.

There was nothing she could use to aid her, so she decided to stick to the classics.

She ran to the other side of the ledge and sprinted back towards the crates, jumping and kicking the crates with all her force. This time it had a result, as one of the crates moved considerably. She repeated the same action and managed to make the bottom crate budge, taking all the ones stacked on top of it with it.

"They're entering now." Taeyang commented.

Inha didn't have time to take another run up so she just decided to kick the crates with her strong legs, as they were teetering off the edge.

Cars drove past her and through the entrance but she kicked the crates with enough force to send them off the ledge and crashed down on one of the other cars. The contents of the crates spilled out and blocked the entrance, four other cars were stuck behind the one that got crushed.

Inha watched as the four cars that got past drove up to the jet. She didn't hesitate to get out her throwing blades and start to attack the henchmen that were alive, and trying to scale the barrier she created.

"Watch out Hanzo, you're pretty exposed. You've got four cars heading your way and they're gonna be pretty pissed that Scorpion and Lucky are in their jet." He said, his words joking but his tone serious.

"Got it." Kyoji replied quickly.

"What?" Momo asked him.

"Nothing." He answered, before placing a hand on her back and led her up towards the jet. "It should be safe-" He started to say but was interrupted by Minseo's loud whooping.

He appeared at the jet entrance with two AK's in his hands, his tie tied around his forehead like a bandana and his jacket had been discarded somewhere.

"Oh for fucks sake..." Kyoji moaned to himself. He was surprised to see the reincarnation of Rambo before him and usually would have found it slightly amusing, but now really wasn't the time.

"Let's get this funeral going guys~!" He yelled with a huge grin plastered on his face. A prompting whoop came from Hyerim in the jet behind him.

Minseo started to walk down the steps, Kyoji and Momo stepping aside for him to pass. Hyerim followed behind him with a bloodied tie around her own forehead, that she took from one of the dead 'businessmen' Minseo had killed.

"Wouldn't go in there love, just set up the bomb. Should be blowin' in about four minutes." Hyerim called after them as she reached the worn tarmac of the runway with a hop.

Kyoji sighed and grabbed Momo's wrist, leading her down the steps. He looked around and saw nothing. The runway was bare of things to keep Momo safe. He groaned at the realisation he's going to have to keep her next to him and protect her that way. He really doesn't need this extra stress right now, especially with Rambo 1 and Rambo 2 running around.

"Stay behind me and do as I say. Tell me if someone's about to bash my head in." Kyoji said to Momo as he looked around and tried to gather some bearings of the unfamiliar area.

Minseo saw the cars approaching and shot the guns wildly at one of them, making it swerve and stop. He laughed and dropped one of them onto the tarmac, pulling out a blade with a cover over its sharp metal from a holder on his belt. He pulled the cover off dramatically and looked at the gleaming metal. The blade looked oiled but was actually covered in some of Minseo's most prized serum. He smiled and saw the reflection of his pearly whites in the blade.

"Come and have a go if you think you're tough enough~!" He sang loudly at the cars that couldn't reply back.

Hyerim had one large gun and intended to use it. She's learnt to appreciate such weapons of mass destruction, and will use them when available to her.

All four of them stood outside the jet and we're looking at the four cars approaching, one however had stopped from being shot at. Kyoji heard a rumbling from another direction and turned to see another car driving right at them at an alarming speed.

"Watch out!" He yelled and the other three turned and either rolled or jumped out the way.

"Oh shit sorry!" Taeyang apologised quickly. "I was a little distracted."

"For fuck sake Wolf you have one job!" Kyoji yelled. He took in a deep breath and turned to look at the cars who were now slowing down to stop. "Just stay focused." He said, trying to sound calm.

"Hurry up already!" Minseo yelled as the henchmen scrambled to grab their weapons and exit the cars. He sighed impatiently before he suddenly started sprinting towards their own car, which was quite close to where the one that was shot at had stopped.

The henchmen that managed to get out the cars started to aim at the sprinting boy, but each bullet missed as he started to zigzag. One guy who was trying to sort his gun out a little too calmly caught his eye. He chuckled and swerved to his right suddenly and started to run directly towards the unsuspecting man. He twisted his blade and got it in prime position.

"Watch out!" One of the henchmen yelled, but it was too late. Minseo had ducked and sliced the man across his thigh before continuing to run towards their car.

"Calm ass bitch." He laughed to himself as he ran away from the conflict, which he doesn't like to involve himself in too much.

The man yelled and looked down at his now blistering leg. He dropped his gun and grabbed his burning thigh. He screamed in agony which would have sounded chilling if he wasn't surrounded by psychopaths who were use to it.

He collapsed to his knees and grabbed at his throat, before alarming amounts of blood started to erupt from his mouth. Minseo turned around to see the man hacking up his own blood violently and laughed.

"Two more cars from both sides." Taeyang warned.

Kyoji turned to his left which the car was closest to them was coming from.

"Stay close okay." He said to Momo who just nodded. He looked to his right and saw Minseo running towards their car. 'That's safe.' He thought and decided to try and get Momo to the car.

He snapped his head back to the car heading towards them and he ran as fast as he could before the henchmen could even grab their weapons.

He pulled out two blades from a holder on his tight black jeans and held one in each hand securely. The henchmen stopped trying to get out the car as Kyoji approached it. They locked the doors as the man looked terrified and matched the description they all heard from other members who had seen him in action before.

Kyoji tried opening the doors to the cars but couldn't as they had been locked. The henchmen frantically tried to sort their guns out in the compact and stuffed car, but under the time pressure and stress of about to be killed, their hands fumbled around helplessly.

Kyoji sighed annoyed before gritting his teeth and started to punch the glass window. The men inside instinctively flinched away and started to worry even more when the glass started cracking.

With one final punch along with a hearty grunt of anger, his hand smashed through the glass. Cutting his knuckles as they were now coated in glass, making them bloody.

He adjusted the blades in his hand and grabbed the man closest to him by the neck of his shirt, gripping tightly before pulling him out the smashed window and threw him to the concrete floor.

He quickly kneeled down and started stabbing the man, killing him before handing up and looking at the other men in the car.

"Get out before I make you." He threatened the scared young men. All they unlocked the doors and got out, aiming their finally loaded guns at him, but before they could even shoot he had lunged at two and sliced at them.

He cut one across the back of his neck so deeply some of his spine was visible. The second, slashed across the face and chest quickly enough the man didn't know what was happening before it was too late. Kyoji spun so he was in front of another man and grabbed his clammy hands that were clutching the pistol. Kyoji twisted the man's arms so he was facing away from him and then sharply jerked his arms in a way that arms are not meant to bend. The man's elbow dislocated and Kyoji let go before stabbing him in the neck, punching him then in the face with his knuckles imbedded with glass.

The last man stood there looking shocked and tried aiming down the shaky sights of his gun he just couldn't keep still. Just seeing him like that made Kyoji unbelievably mad for some reason. He yelled angrily before running to the guy head on and grabbed a fistful of his hair in one hand, and gripping tightly to his neck with his other.

"Hopefully you will all send a message to Kyungil." He whispered into the man's ear before biting it and ripping it off. The man screamed and Kyoji spat the guys own blood into his face. The man fell to his knees, clutching where his ear use to be. Kyoji would have normally felt a little bad but the kid reminded him of something he couldn't quite out his finger on. He decided to put the kid out his misery and crouched, stabbing his multiple times in the chest.

He stood up and brushed some of his bloodied hair out his face, and turned to see Momo looking horrified at him. He kept his poker face and start to walk in the direction behind her.

"You didn't have to do that." She said, sounding disgusted.

"You should be thanking me. He could have killed you without a second thought, I wouldn't waste yours on him." Kyoji replied as he passed her. Momo shook her head at him as he walked away. She reluctantly followed. Even though she knew what he said was true, she still couldn't shake the image of what he did out of her mind.

Hyerim was laughing away as she fired at the henchmen. She was running around having the time of her life. She didn't hesitate and shot up the car coming from her right, filling all the men inside it with bullets. She turned and looked at the men that drove up before. They looked conflicted in wether to aim for her or Minseo.

She shot the men aiming at her and sneaked up on the ones aiming for Minseo.

Turning the gun around, she smacked one of the men over the head with the base of it. The sound of the guys skull being smashed with the hard plastic was loud and also made a cracking noise. He fell to his knees and Hyerim roundhouse kicked him in the head, causing the side of his face to crush even more against the side of the car.

"Oh shit!" She heard another man say from the other side of the car. She peeped around the car so she was looking towards the passengers side of the vehicle and made eye contact with another henchman. She smiled brightly before jumping onto the hood of the car. The man's eyes widened as she leaped onto him, pulling out a decent sized blade and aimed the tip of it at his exposed neck.

He yelled and stumbled around, Hyerim heaving her weight around to made him go in the direction she wanted. When he started to gargle with his own blood that was flooding his throat, she jumped off and slashed at another guy.

The gargling mans body fell to the floor and Hyerim took one satisfied glance before dropping down and swinging her legs, knocking the man's own from beneath him. He fell onto his back and clearly winded himself from the sound of all the air being forced out his lungs. She scrambled to her hands and knees before leaping and straddled him.

She slammed her knife down at his face, deliberately missing just to make him scared. She said a sweet "oops" everytime. Her thoughts suddenly went back to the time and she quickly stabbed the guy right between his eyes.

She hurried to her feet and looked around, trying to locate the other members. Seeing Kyoji and Minseo, she looked to her watch.

1 and a half minutes left.

"Wolf, tell 'em they got a minute and a half left before that fucking thing blows up." Hyerim demanded as she ran to take down more of the men easily.

"One minute and a half left guys." Taeyang repeated.

Kyoji looked up from the guy he beat to death and looked behind him, expecting to see Momo there. He was met however, with the sight of concrete and the jet.

"Momo?" He shouted. He looked around frantically, panic boiling up in him. "Momo?!" He yelled louder. He looked towards the bundling and saw Momo being dragged away by two men. "Momo!" He yelled, dropping his knives as he couldn't even focus on holding his own weapons.

He sprinted as fast as he could towards her and the two men dragging her. His thighs screamed as they were aching and sore, but it just motivated him even more to keep pushing.

He caught up quickly and Momo cried out to him. The two men turned around and before they could register Kyoji, his fist was already breaking one of their noses.

The man grunted and fell flat on his back. He opened his eyes to see the bottom of Kyoji's foot heading towards his face. Kyoji stomped down and twisted his foot to break the man's neck as he crushed his head.

"Hanzo!" Momo yelled as the other man threw her aside, causing her to call into her knees; scraping them.

Kyoji's eyes followed her and he let it a single laugh in anger and disbelief as she fell. He glared at the man who was holding a knife and threatening to use it against him. Kyoji took a step towards him, pointing at the man.

"You. You really shouldn't have done that." He said in a sinister tone. His face dropped instantly and he lunged at the man, catching his hand that lashed in an attempt to slash him. He bent the man's hand and broke his wrist, causing him to drop the knife. Kyoji kneed the guy in the stomach and before the guy could fall to his knees, he grabbed the side of his face harshly and threw him to the ground so he landed on his front. Kyoji reached down and started to slam his head into the concrete.

The thought of him hurting Momo made him so angry that he couldn't seem to stop.

"Hanzo!" Momo yelled, sounding upset. "Hanzo stop! You've made your point!" She cried and grabbed his bloody forearm, trying to stop his actions. It worked. Kyoji stopped and looked up at Momo's tear stained face. His body suddenly drained of anger and replaced with sadness that he made Momo cry.

"Hanzo, hurry up dude. You've got not-too-many seconds left, at most." Taeyang said. "Scorpion is heading your way but try meet him halfway. You're pretty close to the jet."

Kyoji suddenly snapped out of what he was feeling and grabbed Momo's wrist, and started to run as fast as he could go in the direction of the car being recklessly driven. Momo tried to keep up and managed to kick off her heels in the process.

They both ran towards the car which was now stopped and had the back door open.

"Come on dude! This is a shit way to die!" Minseo yelled out of the rolled down window at them. The pair pushed on and eventually reached the car. Kyoji stepped to the side and made sure Momo got in first, before he followed. He slammed the door closed and Minseo slammed his foot down on the pedal.

Somehow they didn't all get whiplash as Minseo did a U turn and headed towards the exit they entered through.

"Guys. Forgetting something?" Taeyang chuckled. "A certain masked blonde? No?" He teased.

Inha ran at an impressive speed towards the exit. She was still jumping from roof to roof, from ledge to ledge. The looked back and saw the car speeding and catching up to her.

"She's to your left." Taeyang stated. "Look up. She's on the roof." He added and then got a response of "ooh" from Minseo and Hyerim.

"Tell them to open the sunroof." Inha asked Taeyang.

"She says open the sunroof." He repeated. Hyerim complied and pressed a button, causing the sunroof to slowly start opening.

Inha looked back and forth from the car to the terrain in front of her. She hopped down a ledge, and again and again, until she was at a safe height to jump from and not injure herself too badly. She pushed on to keep the same speed and started to go more to the right so she was closer to the car.

"Slow down you idiots she's trying to jump onto the car. At least give her a chance." Taeyang grumbled.

"God, you're so demanding sometimes Wolf." Minseo complained before driving to the left slightly and slowed down so Inha was ahead of them slightly.

She judged her jump and took quick breaths before taking the final leap. Her body soared and landed right where she wanted it to on the roof. She held onto the sunroof edge as she tried to regain her balance and steady herself. When she felt safe she used all her upper strength to haul herself into the car via the sunroof.

She fell inside and landed in the space between the front seats and the back seats. She let out tired breaths and sat up after a minute or two.

"Nice of you to drop by." Minseo said, making a bad pun which made Hyerim laugh but no one else.

She ignored him and looked around the car to see Momo lying across the back seats, her head resting on Kyoji's lap as she tried to sleep. Her eyes obviously red and sore even in the dim lighting of the early AM hours.

The sound of a loud and ground shaking explosion reminded them of the whole point of them being there. Hyerim rolled down the window and stuck her head out, looking back to see a large cloud of fire and black smoke rise up from behind the airport buildings. She smiled as she watched the fiery ashes dance around the night sky, reminder her of fireflies. She hummed contently until the ashes and fire were covered by trees and houses.

Inha watched as Kyoji's hand mindlessly went to Momo's blonde hair and started to stroke it soothingly. She smiled at the scene as she forgot he had some emotions in him. She sat there on the floor as there was no room for her on the seats.

Kyoji after a couple of minutes realised what he was doing and immediately retreated his hand from the blondes hair. He then caught eye contact with Inha who was smiling softly at him. He grumbled under his breath and turned to look out the window instead.

"So the stone cold boy does have a soft and warm inside, hmm?" She teased quietly, but she knew he clearly heard her. He shook his head and Inha laughed to herself before lying down on the small space of floor she had.

She gazed up and looked at the stars that were sparking, lighting up the black sky with white dots. Her mind wondered off to her own special someone. Her thoughts making her both happy and sad.

After so long, she's just learnt to forget and not dwell on something she knows won't ever happen again. It didn't stop her however from appreciating other peoples happiness.

She's not that cold.
