Chapter 2
Taeyang and Hyerim both sat in the specialised room designed specifically for him to do research. He sat at his large desk, searching frantically for names of members who's bodies weren't identified and their possible locations. Hyerim sat on the edge of the desk, swinging her legs and studying Taeyang doing what he does.
"How do you even do that?" She asked tilting her head. "Like, where do you even start?" Taeyang let out a single laugh at her questions.
"Since there's a lot of names, I decided to do it alphabetically." He said, a small smile playing on his lips. No one ever really asks him about what he does.
"First or last names?"
"Last." He answered, looking and smiling cheekily at Hyerim. She raised her eyebrows and smiled back, before he looked back at the screen of information.
"Interesting." She muttered smiling. "Got anything yet?"
"I've got a few names, only one location right now, but apparently a few people are at the one location." He answered, his eyes not moving from the screen.
"Then let's go get them! I'm bored, you've been at this for ages." She whined and hopped off the table.
"Fine." Taeyang said quietly, pushing himself away from the desk and stood up. "Come on then crazy, let's go." He laughed, grabbing his jacket and put it on as he walked out the room.
"Good crazy right?" Hyerim teased, jogging to catch up to him.
"Crazy's good. Makes things more fun." He said, looking over his shoulder and smirked at her.

Hyerim drove one of the firms black vans quickly, Taeyang calling out directions he read from his phone. His hand automatically grabbed the safety handle above his head as she sped around the corner, her foot no way near the breaks.
"Fucking hell Lucky, don't kill us before we get there!" He exclaimed, glaring at her as she laughed before he looked back down at his phone. "Take the next left, it should be around the corner from there." He said, his hand gripping the handle tighter as she turned the corner. "You're fucking crazy!"
"I know! It's great isn't it?" She said excitedly.
She slowed down as they started driving down the long street of deserted looking apartment buildings. Taeyang peered out the window and frowned at the desolate streets.
"This is weird." He muttered. Hyerim hummed. "Park on that corner, the building they're in is right around that building so we can get our shit together." He said, pointing at the corner he was talking about.
She parked the van and they both got out. Hyerim walked to the back of the van and opened it, smiling as she saw all the weaponry stored there. Taeyang leaned against the side of the van and worked out which of the apartment buildings it was they were in.
"Let's go." He said. Hyerim closed the doors and put her pistols in the holsters on her thighs, and followed after him.
They walked around the corner, looking around at the shabby buildings that looked as if they hadn't been lived in for years. The windows either smashed and broken or so dirty that you can't see through them.
"Which one is it?" Hyerim asked as they walked down the street. Taeyang pointed at the building in front of them. "We can get up that way." She said and pointed to a large abandoned car next to the building. "Going through the front door is too risky." Taeyang watched as she ran ahead quietly and jumped on top of the car. She jumped up and grabbed onto the second floor window ledge. Reaching for one of her pistols she grasped the barrel and smashed the window with the handle of it before pulling herself up and through the window. Taeyang then followed her into the building the same way.
"Careful," Hyerim said as Taeyang fell into the room and onto a glass pile on the floor. "there's glass." She added as he groaned as the glass dug into his forearms. He got up and looked at his arms, pulling out and brushing some shards off his jacket.
Wow, thanks for the heads up." He said sarcastically. "Ruined my jacket..." Hyerim ignored his comment and walked further into the room.
The room was bare. The paint peeling off the walls due to the damp and the floorboards were splintered. Hyerim walked carefully, making sure the rickety floorboards didn't creak beneath her.
"There should be about three people here I think. We should be able to-" Taeyang's words were cut short as bullets started flying from the floor, trying to find both Taeyang and Hyerim.
They both ran into one of the two joining rooms to escape the line of fire. The shooting died down and they both looked at each other in shock. They waited for a couple of seconds to make sure they wouldn't start shooting again before they spoke in hushed voices.
"I'll go out and hide by the stairs. I'll see if they come up." Hyerim whispered to Taeyang.
"If they do and you think you can't take them alone, then don't. We'll figure something out." Taeyang said and she nodded before sneaking out the room and over to the stairs.
Taeyang stood where he could see the stairs but was hidden from anyone's line of view. The sound of footsteps coming up the stairs got louder and louder until he could see the tops of the men's heads. He watched as they got further up, the guns in their hands visible.
The two men walked into the room and then out of Taeyang's view. He mentally cursed as he couldn't exactly move to get a view of them again as it risked them knowing where he was hiding.
He became alert as the sound of Hyerim fighting the two men and the sounds of shots being fired filled the room. He took a step back before feeling the cold metal of a gun being pressed against the back of his head.
'Fuck.' He thought. He sighed and put his hands up as the person behind the gun pushed him forward, into the room. His eyes widened as he saw Hyerim behind held by one of the men. The other guy was lying on the floor unconscious, his head bleeding slightly.
"Get the fuck off me!" She shouted angrily at the man holding her arms behind her back, so she was unable to move. Taeyang's mind was racing, thinking of ways to get out of this mess of a situation they're both in.
"Be quiet and get on the floor, both of you!" The other guys voice demanded behind Taeyang.
The voice sounded like its source was lower than Taeyang's head and not very deep.
'Shorter than me, possibly weaker and smaller in build. Seems reckless as the gun keeps being pressed against my head then moves off frequently.' He thought.
Hyerim and Taeyang lowered down onto the floor, Hyerim having to be pushed down as she resisted against their orders.
"How dare you?!" She practically screamed at the man in utter rage. "You're so lucky I can't kill you two!" She yelled.
Taeyang took the distraction to his advantage. Quickly he turned and grabbed the barrel of the gun and pointed it up to the ceiling before the guy took a shot. As if it was second nature to him he elbowed the guy in the face and pointed the gun at him. The man put his hands up as he looked up from the floor and at him.
Taeyang grabbed his own gun from its holster and turned slightly and quickly, shooting the guy holding Hyerim in the shoulder instantly. The man cried out and grabbed his shoulder in pain. Hyerim didn't hesitate and kicked the guy in the head, knocking him out. His body fell to the floor and she kicked his unconscious body.
"Yeah. I thought so." She muttered in disgust.
"Tie this guy up Lucky." Taeyang said and Hyerim skipped over to the man he was pointing his gun at. She forcefully grabbed his wrists and tied them together with cable ties she keeps in her pockets, because 'you never know when you're gonna need them'.
"Ouch! They're way too tight!" The man exclaimed. Hyerim thumped him over the back of the head and stood up, yanking the man up with her aggressively.
"Oh shut up." She said sounding completely done with this guys bullshit. "Move." She demanded then shoved him in the direction of the stairs.
"I'll bring these guys to the van. Take that guy and drive to the door, I don't feel like dragging those lumps all the way around the corner." Taeyang said and nodded towards the two large, unconscious men. Hyerim nodded and pushed the guy again as he reached the stairs, causing him to fall down and cry in pain.
"Oh come on, that didn't hurt."
