Chapter 13
"The last one's in there." Jae Eun said as he hobbled out the interrogation room. His hand naturally resting on his bandaged wound, just above his hip. Min Seol rushed to him and helped him walk to the exit of the underground interrogation/torture facility.
"You have to take care of yourself. Don't strain yourself." She fretted as he moved slowly. He shook his head and brushed her concern away.
"I'm fine. I can take care of myself." He said. Min Seol sighed at his comment and stayed quiet, knowing her words would be wasted as he wouldn't listen. "Would you be able to talk to the last guy by yourself? I need to lie down." He asked.
"Of course!" She said loudly, making Jae Eun flinch from her. "Go rest! You'll be fit and healthy soon." She said happily.
"Alright... See you later." Jae Eun said in a surprised tone before he made his way to the ground floor.
Min Seol watched him go, just incase he fell. When she was satisfied he was okay, she made her way to the interrogation room. Grabbing her new pen and notebook as she entered the cold and bare room.
The man strapped to the chair looked up with an open smirk and looked her up and down, chuckling deeply as he saw her fluffy pen.
Min Seol wanted to spit at him when she saw him check her out.
"Hello." The man purred at her with his deep voice. She put on a fake smile and sat down opposite him, setting up her notebook. "Your not here to interrogate me are you?" He asked, the smirk never leaving his beat up face. "Your too pretty to do the dirty work."
"Flattery won't make me go any softer on you..." She said and gestured towards him for him to state his name.
"Minho." He smiled.
"Minho. An old Malevolent member?" She asked curiously.
"I was." He sighed and shifted in his chair. "I wasn't much here. I'm important, needed with The Nobodies." He explained, his eyes drifting off to look at her pen.
"That's why you left?" She asked.
"One of the reasons." He muttered and looked back at Min Seol.
"What are the other reasons?" She pressed, writing down his words without needing to look down.
"My my. You write fast don't you?" He commented with a smile. "Writing everything down? Are my words important?" He asked.
Min Seol stopped writing and tilted her head at him.
"What do you want?" She asked bluntly. Minho chucked deeply again and bit his lip to stop him from laughing louder.
"Your clever. How did you know I wanted something?" He quizzed, intrigued by her.
"You made sure you knew that your valuable before you gave answers. Making me think that you want to exchange something I have for your 'valuable' information." She explained and Minho nodded along.
"I always heard great things about you Sunny." He said softly. "Never a bad thing, from your closest coworkers anyway. Your living up to my expectations." He mumbled with a wink.
Min Seol did everything in her power not to laugh in his face. Instead she kept an interested smile on her pretty face.
"You know what else I heard about you, Sunny?" He asked, leaning forward slightly and also making Min Seol feel slightly nervous. "That your good at keeping secrets." He whispered before letting in a deep breath and leaned back in the chair he's strapped to. "Is that correct?"
Min Seol frowned at him and tried to read him, but the mans broken face gave nothing away.
"Depends on what the secret is." She commented. Minho made a displeased sound and shook his head.
"Do consequences contribute too?"
"Depends on the consequence." She fired back. Minho hummed in amusement. "What is it?"
"Promise me something." He stated, all playfulness now void in his tone.
"Promise you what exactly?"
"That you won't let me be killed." He stated seriously. Min Seol frowned and leaned on the table, intrigued by his request. "I know that whoever goes into that room with those three psychopaths, never come back out alive." He said. "I want you to guarantee me that I will."
"Why would I do that? Your a traitor. You deserve everything coming to you." She threatened.
"Well see the others you capture don't know that their death in that room is inevitable. You use pain as a way of making them talk, and use the fact that they'll be free of pain as a reward for information. If I know that that reward is a bluff, then you can't make me talk. I'll die anyway, there's no reason for me to tell you anything." He explained. Min Seol gripped tightly onto her pen in anger at Minho's words. "So give me a reward, and I'll talk." He said with a smile.
Min Seol tapped her pen on her paper and bit her lip in thought. Her mind racing with scenarios that could happen after he's released, alive.
"You want this information." He added. "I would say it's necessary that you have it."
"Say I agree to your terms. Then what?" She pressed.
"Let me leave when your friends are done having fun with me. Make an excuse for me to leave the room and then let me go." He stated. "Also you must keep this secret Sunny. I only want you to know about this." He smiled sweetly at her.
"Why me?"
"Didn't you hear me before? Your good at keeping secrets." He said patronisingly.
Min Seol didn't know if he was bluffing. She's not one to go against her word and break promises, she's not like that.
"It's your choice... Although it effects others." He mumbled.
"Others?" She asked.
"Oh, this secret isn't about you dear Sunny. It effects someone else." He smirked. "So you either let me be killed along with the information, or you promise me my freedom and potentially get information about someone."
"You're a sly little bitch, you know that right?" She spat at him. Minho just laughed.
"I'm well aware." He chuckled. Min Seol paused for a minute as she thought it through, weighing up her options. She doesn't want a member to maybe die, knowing she could have prevented it easily. It would eat her up inside of that happened.
"Fine." She said bitterly. "I'll promise to let you go, in exchange for information."
Minho smiled widely, showing off his perfect teeth. He nodded and leaned forward again.
"Good choice." He commented.
"Now talk." Min Seol ordered and prepared to write down his words. Minho's eyes shifted to her pen and then back to meet her intense gaze.
"I'm not stupid Sunny, your not writing this down." He stated.
Min Seol sighed and dropped her pen on the table. It was worth a shot.
"Let's just say, that a certain member of Malevolent is at a very high risk of assassination." He stated amused. "And there will be many different ways of attempting this. Some obvious, and some so subtle that only those who know a threat is there can detect it." He explained.
"Which member is this?" Min Seol asked, concern laced in her tone. Minho laughed and leaned back in his chair.
"The big Boss." He chuckled. "There's a big target on the back of his fucking head and anyone is willing to aim for it. To eliminate him."
"Did your boss set this target?"
"Of course. He only has one enemy, he's got no one else to kill but him. Everyone else is too scared to go against the 'Invincible Zeno'~!" He said dramatically. "He's got a lot more enemies than he thinks he does."
"When will these attempts take place?"
"No one knows. Everyone wants to be the one to kill Zeno. No one will be conferring as they want full credit." He said in a teasing voice. "Do you know how much they want to be known as the person who 'Killed Seoul's Underground King'? It's a very sought after reputation and title."
"Why doesn't your boss do it himself?" She asked, the plot getting thicker and thicker and she's becoming more and more worried.
"He can't risk getting killed in the process. He's willing to spare a few henchmen and miss out on the title." He shrugged. "And that's all I have for you my darling." He smiled.
Min Seol stood up suddenly and walked over to Minho, unstrapping him from the chair. He looked up at her and frowned.
"Your keeping your promise, right?" He asked softly. Min Seol sighed as she untied the last fastener. She nodded with a sullen expression.
"I don't go against my promises. No matter how evil you are." She muttered.
"You're kind Sunny. I won't forget this."
(I apologise for the awful editing, again)

Minho stumbled into the torture room, falling to the hard ground, Min Seol quickly slammed the door closed behind him. His leg in agony as his knee was broken by Taeyang, and is now bent inward. He didn't show the pain on his face though. He looked around and smirked as he saw the three infamous torturers he's heard so much about.
There was one of his coworkers dangling from the ceiling by his wrists, covered in cuts and lacerations. He looked up and saw Minseo walking up to him with a smirk on his face.
"Well hello." He said in a flirtatious voice. Minho raised an eyebrow at him and looked him up and down. Minho couldn't deny his good looks, so he didn't mind being checked out by him. "And who are you?" Minseo asked him as he grabbed by the arm and yanked him to his feet. Minho trying his hardest not to cry out in agony as some weight was put into his broken leg. "Ah, he's tall~!" He sang happily.
"Just tie him up." Kyoji ordered. Minseo sighed and lead Minho so he was standing in front of his fellow colleague. Kai Ling walked up to him and grabbed his wrists and chained them up, looping the chain through a hook on the ceiling. Kyoji grabbed the other end and pulled, making Minho rise off the ground slightly. He attached it to another hook on the wall next to where he was leaning so Minho would stay suspended.
"Name." Kai Ling demanded and walked up to him.
"Minho." He smiled at her. She narrowed her eyes, suspicious of him and his demeanour.
"What is it you didn't tell Sunny?" She asked, not even wanting to guess this time.
"That you won't know either." Minho said, playing along so his deal with Min Seol won't be found out.
"If that's how your going to be, then so be it." She growled at him before turning and grabbing a knife.
"Whoa whoa!" Minseo said and put a hand in front of Kai Ling as she was about to swing at Minho's body. "Can we at least take his shirt off?" He asked, deadly serious. Kyoji silently facepalmed. Minho smirked.
"Are you fucking serious?" Kai Ling practically yelled at him. Minseo looked confused as to why she's stalling something that he sees is very necessary.
"You can just tell he's ripped. Come on, like you don't wanna see either." He said, stating his case. Kai Ling groaned angrily and sighed.
"Fine, if it will shut you up." She said and turned around, eyes wide and massaging her temples. She's not in the mood for Minseo today.
Minseo smiled and grabbed a knife before walking up to Minho, who was secretly loving this attention and smirked down at Minseo.
Minseo to placed the knife on the neck of Minho's t-shirt and slowly dragged it down, cutting the fabric in half.
"I told you! You could wash your clothes on those abs!" He said to Kai Ling who really at this point, didn't care. Minseo turned around and cut the rest of his shirt so it was completely off, leaving Minho hanging there with his bare torso exposed. "You may now go about your business Zero." He said and gestured towards the mans bare body.
Kai Ling didn't hesitate and stormed up to Minho and slashed at his chest, not deeply, but enough to hurt him. He groaned at the sting and the sensation of the sharp metal carving though his skin.
"Talk." She demanded.
"No."
She slashed again, making Minho groan in pain again.
"Talk."
"No."
She lifted up her arm and swung quickly, lodging the small blade in the upper part of his side. He cried out and squeezed his eyes together tightly in an attempt to maybe help him cope it's the immense pain, which he knew didn't have any actual benefit.
"Talk."
"No..."
She went to swing at him again but Kyoji grabbed her hand and stopped her. She turned and glared at him but his gaze was fixed on Minho.
"You know us, don't you?" He asked. Minho forced his eyes to open and looked at Kyoji.
"Your the little brother." He panted. "Everyone knows you." He said and chuckled painfully. "The one everyone says to be afraid of." Kyoji frowned at his words. "I worked for you, of course I know you."
"No. You know more." He pressed. Minho didn't let his face give him away.
"You never told us anything. I just worked at the units. I wasn't special enough to know more about you all." He spat. Kyoji silently nodded at his words and then walked to the table of weapons and grabbed two of his small throwing knives.
He looked at Minho with a blank expression as he sat down and leaned his forearms on his thighs. He fiddled with the blades and tilted his head at Minho.
"What do you know?" He asked.
"Nothing." Minho stated.
Kyoji calmly threw the knife at Minho and lodged itself into his shoulder. Minho yelled at the sudden attack.
"I don't believe you." He said in a angry tone, singing the words slightly. "Tell us what you know. It seems important."
"I don't know anything." Minho grunted. The pain in his shoulder was searing and painful.
Kyoji threw another knife, more powerful this time. It pierced the side of his abdomen. He cried out and hissed at the shooting pain in his body.
"Why are you lying?" He asked curiously.
"I'm not." Minho insisted.
"Zero. Put some pressure on the knives." Kyoji ordered. Kai Ling smiled at Minho as she walked up to him and started to press down on the handle of the knife in his shoulder, pushing it further into his flesh. He cried out as she slowly applied pressure.
"You're really enjoying this aren't you?" Minho said through clenched teeth, looking up and glaring at Kyoji who's face was expressionless.
"I am." He simply stated and reached for a third knife. Kai Ling stopped pressing the blade into Minho's shoulder when the grip reached his skin, preventing the blade going in any further. She stepped away and looked curiously at Minho.
"Your doing better than your friend." She stated and looked over to the other guy that was behind Minho. "Scorpion, what are you doing?"
Minseo looked up and widened his eyes at Kai Ling.
"Oh. He's dead now." He said innocently. "I was testing out a new elixir. Did you even hear him die?" He asked.
"Stop using these guys as your guinea pigs." Kai Ling sighed.
"But it worked the way I wanted it to. Silent death, barely any pain. I think this is my most tame one yet." He complimented himself.
"Apposed to your usual 'scream the house down, casually bleeds from the eyes' kind of elixir. Then yes, it is your most tame." She said, tired. She will never understand his fixation on creating substances that can kill in many different ways. She likes the classics, doing it yourself, rather than a substance doing it for you.
"Minho." Kyoji said and Minho's eyes looked back at him. "Tell us. Or I'll throw this knife into your fucking throat." He threatened, flipping the knife around in his fingers effortlessly.
"What use would I be then?" Minho chuckled before groaning with pain. "Kill the only source. That's not clever is it?" Kyoji didn't like his words. He didn't like that he was even talking. He wanted Minho dead and by his hand.
"Your trying to fucking call me out are you?" Kyoji said in a threatening voice. Kai Ling and Minseo raised their eyebrows. They know he only uses that voice rarely and only for those he utterly despises.
"I'm just stating facts." He said in a dry voice, a smirk playing on his lips.
"Clever, aren't you." Kyoji said in a deep and quiet voice, an open menacing smirk on his lips. His hand gripped tightly onto the handle of his knife and he was prepared to throw it at Minho. The sound of the door sliding open interrupted him.
"Minho's needed elsewhere." Min Seol stated. "Please untie him and I'll take him." She said, her voice demanding and sure.
Minseo and Kai Ling both turned to Kyoji, who frowned deeply at her words.
"Where is he going?" He asked loudly and deeply.
"Don't ask me, I'm just carrying out orders." Min Seol replied, pretending to sound annoyed.
"Orders from who?" He pressed, standing up and took a few steps in her direction. The sound of his shoes echoing in the silent and tense room.
"Jäger." She stated. She felt awful, as she was basically lying and betraying her bosses brother. She felt false about it all. Kyoji narrowed his eyes before shooting one last glance at Minho who met his gaze and grinned.
"Lower him and send him on his way." Kyoji muttered before walking over to the back of the room and leaned against the wall, folding his arms in frustration.
Minseo and Kai Ling took out the knives inbedded in Minho's body and did as he asked before leading the hobbling, shirtless and blood covered Minho to Min Seol.
"Thanks guys." She said before slamming the door. As soon as the door was shut she rushed Minho down the corridor to the facility exit.
Minho was trying to be quick but his broken leg was almost impossible to walk on.
"Hurry up." She said as she waited at the end of the corridor for him. She reached into a bag she had on her shoulder and pulled out a black button up shirt and threw it to Minho as he approached. "You can't go up to ground floor with your chest cut open and with obvious stab wounds." She said, explaining herself.
Minho's hands fumbled with the buttons and he could barely stand up. Min Seol felt a small tinge of guilt and sighed heavily before taking the shirt from his hands and undid the buttons. Minho watched, greatful she was being kind to him even though he's the enemy. She opened up the shirt and helped him put it on, buttoning it up which caused the fabric to stick to the blood on his chest.
"Come on." She muttered and wrapped an arm around him, helping him up.
When they reached the ground floor she led him to one of the alternative exits, this one happens to open up to an alley way. She threw him outside and he fell onto the damp floor. He looked up and smiled at her.
"Thank you Sunny. I won't forget what you've done." He said sincerely. She frowned at him.
"You better not fucking make me regret this Minho, or I'll make you wish I left you down there for them to kill you." She said, venom drilling of her words. She slammed the door shut and left Minho sitting on the ground by himself before laughing loudly, he couldn't believe he's actually alive.
