Left alone since birth, he doesn't know many people besides his aunt and uncle.
But when he loves, he loves entirely and completely. A quiet romantic, he lives by emotion over reason, giving him an impulsive innocence that almost reminds you of an animal. Talking isn't much of a strength— he'll stutter when it doesn't come out right— but he writes with an eloquence most would find surprising. He's still figuring things out.

It doesn't bother him that he doesn't remember what his parents looked like, or how his father did his hair in the morning, or what color lipstick his mother wore. It kind of bothers him that they left, though. His aunt and uncle were nice enough, though they stowed him away in the attic like a Christmas decoration. But they hugged him and told him what a kind boy he was, and it was almost enough to fill the hole his mom and dad left. What they couldn't fill he covered up with books and books and books. He liked all of it: the mysteries, the fantasies, even the Whale Watcher's Bible of Whales. Although of course the poems were his favorite. And even when the aunt and uncle finally told him it "wasn't his fault" what with the money troubles, and that "of course they'd write every day", it still didn't bother him. That much.
