We were not rich

Not by anyone's imagination

But we didn't know it

Mama made sure that if we needed it

We had it

If we wanted it

We probably got that as well

When we finally found  out that we weren't rich it no longer mattered

What we didn't know

She taught us

We didn't need wealth

We had what all the riches in the world could not possibly buy

We had each other

I still believe that we were the richest people on earth
