Jethro 'Jett' Black is the son of Lionel 'Leo' Black, a notorious Mafia enforcer who was put away for murder when Jett and his sister were teenagers. 

Both siblings grew up in a volatile household where their father was known to talk with his fists. Jett was the primary target and always fought back and kept him away from his little sister.

Jett ended up in the CIA for a time before he joined the Fugitive Task Force of the FBI. 

He ended up in the BAU after Hotchner worked a case with the younger agent and liked his methods and requested for the man to transfer. 

Jett accepted. 

Jett is a hot-headed, protective, and brutally honest man. He is also a gentle and sweet man who cares for those around him.

Josie and Jett were always very close and only had each other for years.

She's a kind and gentle soul, but she's fiercely loyal and protective of her loved ones.
