Backstory (prequels): Ramar is from the outer rim planet Jelucan and was brought to the Jedi temples at the age of three. He doesn't remember much from living there, only that he had a kind older brother and that his family is descended from the very first colony on that planet, thus making them first wavers. He grew up on the Jedi Temple in Lothal for most of his life and didn't move to Coruscant until the Clone Wars broke out. His master, Koh Gost, was on the council and thus needed to help with the war. At the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, Ramar follows the ways of the Jedi with all his heart. He excels in meditation and is strong in the force, thus his green lightsaber.
Backstory (original trilogy): Ramar is from the outer rim planet Jelucan and he and his family live as poor first wavers. They work in the plant's mines. Ramar's family supports the empire and they saved up enough money for his brother Radale to join the empire's training academy. Ramar supports the empire as well. That is, until a stray rebel's glider crashes on his land and he realizes just how terrible the empire really is. He and the rebel leave Jelucan to help with the rebellion. All his life, Ramar had always felt a... connection with the world unlike anything else he'd heard of before. He was able to lift objects when he wasn't concentrating and even convinced his father to let him go out after curfew when he'd been unchanging before. Ramar doesn't tell anyone though, in fear of being different.
