Ocean's POV

Frost showed me a portal the next day. I was excited, and relieved that Frost is really Frost, if you know what I mean.

We went through it and I found myself back in the ocean where my kingdom is. Home at last! I smiled.

"Frost, thanks for everything," I said gratefully.

"You are welcome," she said warmly, drinking a potion of water breathing.

"I will miss you," I said. "When would you visit?"

"One day," Frost replied. "Maybe many years later. My world calls for great responsibilities, and I need to settle them."

"How did you get into that world then?" I asked. "You didn't tell me how you got there."

Frost looked embarrassed and she replied, "Well... I lost a tiny bet... while playing chess."

I nearly exploded in laughter. "That's embarrassing indeed!"

Frost laughed too, and both of us felt happier that day. However, it had to be interupted by a familiar and furious voice.

"Well... what do you have there?" Trica said. "Queen Ocean and a pathetic human."

Her tone was mocking and I was furious that she insulted my new friend.

Frost kept quiet, gesturing for me to settle it myself.

How? I thought. How do I stop Trica's treachery once and for all?

At the corner of my eye, I saw a boulder which had a small rock holding it in place. "What do you want?" I asked, backing up cautiously.

Trica swam closer with an evil grin. "Yiur title of queen and your pitiful life!" she spat, bumping into me.

I gasped for breath and swam towards the boulder. Trica didn't notice it and I took the chance to pull the rock out.

"You are going to die!" she shouted at me.

"No," I replied with a strangly calm voice. "You are."

That's when the boulder came crashing down and crushing her. There was no chance that she was alive.

"I guess your position is safe now, Queen Ocean," Frost said respectfully. "I hope that, when we meet again, the situation will not be as dire."

"Till we meet again," I echoed.

Frost smiled at me before swimming away towards a newly opened portal. That was the last I seen of her that day.
