In a way,
It felt like growing up. She'd grown further and further from her best friends, but it didn't hurt as much as she thought it would.
The possibility of losing her friends used to scare her to the point of her becoming clingy, and nearly unreasonable.
But not anymore. It felt more like letting go of the last part of her childhood.
"What am I going to do?" I asked quietly, staring at one of my counterparts, Isabella, in the mirror. She stared back at me sympathetically, her looks mirroring mine.
The only difference was her ever constant headband, and her lilac eyes to my blue.
"I don't know." she admitted in her soft voice. "I'm probably not the best mask to ask either. I'm the part of you that represents childhood, remember? Maybe you should talk to one of the others, heck, I bet even the new girl could help better than me."
She paused, and looked me straight in the eye. "Whatever you decide, don't let anger or love blind you. Your past isn't you."
I nodded, my gaze filled with grief, and a little hope, of the future.
I am more than the sum of my parts, and I need to show that to the world once and for all.
