It's sad to think that you're gone.
Yet, as I travel back in time, everything you've done still chases me down.
You inspired me more to write poems and proses,
Not knowing you'd be the reason why my ink dried.
And from that, a part of me died.

I miss everything.
I miss what could've been.
If you loved me right, treated me right,
Would this have happened, or might we have been alright?

I guess you and I will never be a perfect match,
Or maybe you just weren't the one for a girl you thought was too much.
You were my once in a lifetime,
A prince I met who couldn't be a king for a queen in time.

Love is painful, that is true,
But I don't understand how people take advantage of you.
You loved with all your heart,
And in return, they break you apart.

You were just a moment in time.
I sometimes wish I hadn't let you in my life.
Maybe I wouldn't end up like this, and I'd be fine—
If only I hadn't loved you like I did last time.
