Tick Tock
Tick tock goes the clock sitting on the wall.
The little girl watching it as she stops in the hall.
Tick tock goes the clock that's hanging there.
The little girl age of age seven just stops and stares.
Tick tock little clock on the fireplace.
Why must you sit there causing time to race.
I'm a girl of eleven just starting to grow.
Tick tock little clock where did daddy go?
He's sitting at the bar again missing mommy dear.
An once again yes once again he's left me lonely here.
Drink after drink he's head will start to swim.
Then he'll come home shedding tiny tears.
I'll slowly look at him wanting to go near.
Dear sweet daughter come hug daddy tight.
For it is time for bed and I want to wish you a good night.
Walking quickly over I hug daddy in fright.
Scared he will leave me just like mommy did that night.
Daddy said the drunk driver took mommy away.
Sometimes he wishes he could have made her stay.
I miss mommy a lot I hope she knows.
Daddy says she does and she's watching as I grow.
She's watching us from Heaven keeping us both safe.
And one day we will see her with a smile upon her face.
