Its been 3 days since nightmare has stayed in the castle I enjoy his company altho my father has been acting a little strange I shrugged it off at first but   now im paying a little more attention to his behavior 

its midnight at the moment I couldn't sleep for some reason so I decided to get a drink of water so I went out of my room shutting the door silently as I headed to the kitchen something caught my eye there was a light coming from my dad's study and I know I shouldn't go in but curiosity killed the cat I guess so I went in making sure not to make a sound   I saw nothing but my dad's desk and his bookshelves and that's where the light was coming from my fingers brushed against the books trying to find a fake and I did it was a book about merfolk I pushed it in and the bookshelf went to the side to reveal a secret room and of course I went to find a bunch of weapons but not guns it was .......

the one weapon that almost wiped out the entire merfolk civilization I only knew this because nightmare told me but why did my dad have these unless he still wants to kill them but he wouldn't do that would he...  I found the source of the light it looks like it comes from a? trident 

the gem in the middle was glowing I felt weird but strangely attached to it so I did what any stupid person would do I took it and brought it to my room I hid it in m closet I need to tell this to nightmare tomorrow
