all I felt was pain and a pair of arms wrapped around me  I opened my eyes a little to see that I was on a beach I looked up to see cross looking at me worriedly ¨ hey... nightmare do you think you can turn human for me please¨ cross asked and I nodded I used the rest of my strength to turn human all the injuries from my tail went to my legs after that I felt tired at passed out 

( cross pov now) 

I asked nightmare if he could turn human he nodded and a bright light covered his tail I had to close my eyes for a sec and when I opened them I saw he was wearing clothing witch I was relieved he was 

after a moment I picked him up and I started to go to the gates of the caste once I was there the guards le me in I rushed to the throne room to see my father talking to some people that work for the castle once he spotted me he stopped and waved the people off ¨ dad I need a medic my friend is severely hurt ¨ I said in a frantic  and worried voice he saw nightmare and called for a medic It wasn't long before one came they carefully took him and brought him to the infirmary I followed hoping he was ok   once they brought him in they told me I couldn't come in I was heartbroken but nodded I went to my room to change into something for comfy  I didn't sleep at all that night 

It was early in the morning I got at least 4 hours of sleep I got dressed for the day not wearing anything fancy and I headed to the infirmary they let me in they said that he was ok but they had to paralyze his vocal cords meaning   he couldn't talk and this was permanent I was torn I was happy he was ok but sad he couldn't talk  I pulled up a chair and sat down next to him and waited for him to wake up  

( nightmares pov) 

everything was black and my body still hurt but not as bad my mouth felt like it was numb I slowly opened my eyes everything was blurry my vision cleared after a minute I wasn't in the water I knew that I looked over to see a worried and relived cross I gave him a weak smile he smiled back I opened my mouth to say something but was  quickly hushed by cross he told me I was mute and I was devastated for the rest of the day we learned sign language  so we could   communicate  the sun soon began to set and I drifted off into a calm sleep
