( nightmare)

I yawned and got up remembering yesterday as pink painted my face I smiled and got out of bed but looked to see a note only to read "Dear nightmare I'm going back to my dads castle to get something important please don't follow me there is no use stay safe love you
-cross" I looked at it in worried and in rage why would he risk his life for something he states is important I thought *sigh* well there is no use to follow him he's way to stubborn as I'm too tired to follow but I do hope he will be ok I got out of my room to head to the reef to relax It's sorta a safe spot for me just the coral and how the fish swim bye and how pearls shimmer in the sun it's just perfect not as perfect as cross but that's different I swam out my window to take a short cut only to get taken down by an undertow thankfully I got out before it was too strong I started to take my shortcut to the reef only to see someone there crying it wasn't anybody I knew but they where a mermaid like me so I swam up to them they looked only about 10 I signed to ask if They where ok they didn't understand me at first but then they got it they said no and I signed why they told me they lost there parents and that they had no where to go I told them they could come with me back to the castle they looked surprised but agreed I wiped the tears off there face and swam them back to the castle I headed to the throne room with them to tell my dad what happened

I was about to go on land only to see a whaling stick and some people guarding the castle welp I guess this means I have to take the long way I went to a river that lead up a window to the room next to mine I climbed in and made sure no one was near I snuck into my room and grabbed the trident and went to my balcony the people that where there before where gone most likely switch shifts so I jumped down and swam I didn't want to get caught so I swam till I was at the castle I swam into the throne room but as soon as I did everything went into slow motion the trident started to glow and so did nightmares crown soon the trident. Shot at nightmare making him fall I quickly dropped the trident but by the time I did it was already to late nightmare was limp on the floor no movement to be seen his soul cracked but then disappeared "NO" I screamed and went to his side nightmare was limp in my arms there was no signs he was alive until I heard a thump a sound beat nightmares soul beat he was alive but still asleep I quickly brought him to my room and layed him down on my bed
