White's Message/Unbubbling Bismuth
"What do you mean that you're coming over?" the verdant monarch was shocked by the paragon's sudden announcement. "I know it's sudden and it might be much, but I'm worried about him." White said, before changing the subject. "What are you wearing?" the paragon asked about Green's current attire of a green t-shirt and sweatpants. "I was sleeping." Green said bluntly, before changing the subject. "Anyway, when are you coming?" the verdant monarch asked, wondering on White's time of arrival. "In a few weeks, at most." White replied.
"That should give us just enough time to prepare. See you in a few weeks." Green said as he shut the screen off. Sighing as he reclined into his chair, rubbing his temples. "What am I going to do?" Green asked himself, if he tells the gems, then that means more pressure to put onto Steven, and he's already under enough pressure. Slamming his head onto the main console, trying to come up with a good compromise between informing the gems and relieving some of the pressure off of Steven, since it would be a matter of time before he corrupts.
If he leaves Steven out of it, then that would put more pressure between him and the gems, if he does include Steven, the result would be the same. For the first time ever in his existence, he doesn't have an idea.
"Kid's already has a lot of emotional baggage, he doesn't need anymore baggage"
"My diamond? Are you okay?" his pearl asked him, to see if he's all right. "No, Pearl, I'm not okay." Green responded with a forlorn tone in his voice. Sighing as he reclined into his chair, burying his face into his hands. "I don't know what to do..." he cried. "I'm sure that you'll come up with something." Green Pearl tried to reassure his diamond. "That's the thing, I have nothing." the verdant monarch said while his pearl grabbed him by the shirt, and pulled him towards his level.
"Listen, I have been with you for seven housand years, and for once I have never seen you give up. What would Pink think of you if you gave up." The verdant gem said while Green looked towards the floor. "If you think that you can find a way to notify the others without putting Steven under even more pressure than he's already in, impossible. Let me remind you that..." the polo-wearing gem said while Green finished. "Nothing is impossible."
Green Pearl laughed as his diamond changed his tone. "You see, we handled the Cluster like it's no problem, even though doing something like that may seem impossible... it really isn't. Nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it, and if we go down in shards." he laughed before finishing. "So be it. Because we did the impossible!"
After hearing the speech of encouragement, Green contemplated what his pearl said, and he was right. "You're right..." the verdant monarch said as his pearl was about to exit the ship, presumably to get breakfast started, smiled as his diamond changed his tone. Green, now turning towards his pearl. "We did the impossible! If we go down in shards... (laughs) So be it!" Green boasted as the verdant gem turned towards his diamond. "That's all I wanted to hear, my diamond." he said warmly. "And I think I may have something for your predicament."
Both green gems entered the beach house, even though the verdant monarch didn't change to his usual outfit, both unaware that a certain hybrid was eyeing them. "Green, what are you up to?" Steven asked, wondering why Green was walking towards the temple door. Green, now looking towards Steven's loft, though his eyes were just the diamond-shaped pupils. "You're planning to unbubble Bismuth, aren't you"
'Dammit! How did he know?!'
"Don't worry, I was planning to do it for a while." Steven said as he walked up to Green Diamond. "Come on, let's go, also you need to change." the hybrid stated on both their mission and on the verdant monarch's current attire. "Oh..." Green phased on his usual ensamble of a green three-piece suit; the suit being a white collared shirt with a red necktie, a light-green vest, a dark-green jacket with a blue cufflink on the left sleeve and a pink cufflink on the right sleeve, green pants with the legs rolled up with black loafers underneath, and held up by a black belt with a golden yellow buckle.
Soon, the duo made it to the burning room, where Bismuth's bubble was being held, Green had his cane out, in case he needed to deploy the direct approach. Seconds later, Steven popped the bubble, a couple seconds later, Bismuth reformed, and she looked at both Steven and Green. Soon, she looked around her surroundings, she could grabbed one of her old colleagues and made a break for it, but the last time she acted out of impulse, almost cost both Steven's and Green's lives.
"Why did you two let me out?" the blacksmith asked, albeit it was regretful. "You have been bubbled for long enough." Steven said, but his words weren't getting to the now-released gem. "Kid, let the Diamond of Reason do his magic." Green said as he readied his cane, walking towards Bismuth, the verdant monarch tapped her head a few times, before whacking her in the head with his cane, and the young hybrid cringed at the sight.
"OW! GEEZ! What was that for?!" Bismuth yelled out in pain as she rubbed the area where Green whacked her. "It doesn't matter, it's in the past!" Green said while Bismuth was unsure of herself. "Yeah, but it still hurts." the rainbow-haired gem said glumly while both Steven and Green put their respective hands on her shoulders. "Oh, yes, the past can hurt, but the way I see it... you can either run from it, or learn from it." Green said philosophically, he swung his cane, in which Bismuth avoided the swing. "Hah! You see! So, what are you going to do?" Green said, contemplating on the blacksmith's next move.
"First, I'm gonna take your cane." Bismuth said, right before taking Green's cane, and throwing it away. "No! No! Not the cane!" Green yelled as he went to get his cane. Unfortunately, unlike the incident with Lapis, where she just chucked it to the other side of the base, this time since there's a lava pit in the middle of the room. The cane fell in, melting it. "Right into the lava..." he whined, then he turned towards Bismuth. "Hey! Where are you going?!" Green asked. "I'm going out!" Bismuth replied as she was about to leave the room. "Good! Go on! Get outta here!" Green yelled, then it became laughter, Steven joined in, before widening their eyes in realization. "Hey, wait for us!"
With some help from Steven, Bismuth stepped foot inside the beach house. Unaware that a certain ocean hybrid was eyeing her. Activating her wings for the first time since becoming a hybrid, flying from the loft, landing in front of Bismuth, though the landing was less than graceful, and once she got her bearings straight, she took a quick look at Bismuth. Steven and Green Diamond came into the scene, seeing both of them face to face, the duo wanted to break them up, taking their pasts in account, as they were about to break the two apart, they heard Lapis two familiar words.
"Thank you..."
"Wha..." Bismuth was confused by her statement. "If it wasn't for you, then I would've met Steven, so, thank you." Lapis stuck her hand out, and Bismuth accepted the gestures. "Let me ask one thing, why are you like this?" Bismuth asked about Lapis' hybrid form. One can hear Green Pearl groaning in the background, clearly tired of giving the recap again, for the third time, if he gives it the fourth time, he's poofing himself after that.
French Narrator: Later
The gems came in as Green called for a meeting, he also called Greg, since he does have a right to know. During that time Green Pearl finished making breakfast, it was a breakfast pizza, Steven and Lapis were having a slice, while Pearl asked one question. "Why did you call this meeting?"
"White Diamond is coming."
"WHAT?!" Everyone, sans Steven, Lapis, Peridot, and Bismuth, reacted accordingly, Greg, meanwhile, just fainted, but able to come to his senses. "What do you mean White Diamond is coming?!" Pearl squawked, causing Green to facepalm. "Yes, she's coming here, but the reason for her visit is because of Steven." Green clarified, hoping that she got the hint. "Bismuth, can you back me up here?" Pearl asked the blacksmith for her opinion. "Honestly, I don't really know, but I know one thing; the pressure you three put him under." the blacksmith voiced her opinion, Pearl was in disbelief, while Amethyst and Garnet did realize that she does have a point. A few seconds of tense silence later, Green ended the meeting. "Meeting adjourned."
Soon, Green walks up to Steven, and puts his respective hand on the young hybrid's shoulder. Silently telling him to take a break and enjoy himself.
A/N: The bit with Green literally knocking the sense into Bismuth might be lazy writing, considering Green did the same thing to Lapis, but that happened via flashback
