The Expedition
It was Lapis' first mission since she came back, all though it did take some convincing by Green, rubbing her head. 'Did he really have to do that?' Lapis remembered from her and Green's conversation a month prior to this mission, seeing the verdant monarch guiding the way, and Steven was beside him. 'But he does have to get his point across...'

Green warped inside the Moon Base, checking in on Lapis since her departure. Seeing a certain structure, Green tapped his cane on the side of the entryway, alerting the ocean gem. "May I come in?" Green asked. "Sure..." Lapis replied.
"What brings you here?" Lapis asked, while Green retorted "Funny, I was going to ask the same thing."
"What do you want?" Lapis asked, albeit more hesitant in her voice. "I'm only asking you this, would you please come back?" the verdant monarch asked. "Why do I want to go to a place that brought me nothing but pain." Lapis said with a hint of venom in her voice.
"What about Steven? Peridot? She was your friend." Green said, hoping to catch Lapis in a corner. "I don't deserve their forgiveness... especially her's..." Lapis said in a depressed tone. "So, that's how you are spending your time, moping around all day?" Green asked, in massive distaste about the ocean gem's current state.
"What are you getting at?" Lapis asked. "Look, he already lost you twice, and doesn't want to lose you again for a third time..." Green said, referring to Steven, while the ocean gem turned away from him. 'Well, looks like I need to go to the direct approach...' the verdant monarch thought to himself. Tapping Lapis' head a few times, before whacking her in the head with his cane.
"OW! GEEZ! What was that for?!" Lapis yelled out in pain, while rubbing the spot where Green whacked her.
"It doesn't matter, it's in the past!" Green chuckled, while Lapis was unsure of herself.
"Yeah, but it still hurts." the ocean gem said glumly, while Green puts his hand on her shoulder.
"Oh yes, the past can hurt, but the way I see it... you can either run from it, or learn from it." Green said in a philosophical tone, he swung his cane, which Lapis ducked, avoiding the swing.
"Hah! You see! So, what are you going to do?!" Green asked, contemplating on Lapis' next move.
"First, I'm going to take your cane." Lapis said, right before taking the verdant monarch's cane, and throwing it away.
"No! No! Not the cane!" Green yelled as he went to collect his cane. As soon as he got his cane, he turned around, and saw Lapis heading towards Earth.
"Hey, where are you going?!" he asked. "I'm going back." Lapis said, knowing what her intent was.
"Good! Go on! Get outta here!" Green yelled, while his yell became laughter, before widening his eyes in realization. "Hey! Wait for me!"
French Narrator: End of Flashback
Which brought them here, the quartet was exploring an abandoned gem facility, off-planet, due to Green's recommendation, since there was some old gem tech that needed some repurposing. A strange whirring sound reverberated throughout the facility. "Did you guys hear that?" Steven asked, while Peridot, Lapis, and Green nodded in response, and four continued on their way. Later, the main quartet made it to the section of the facility where they're going to salvage for parts, unfortunately, the section was a floor below them, and since it was abandoned for a few millennia, it's bound for some disrepair.
A section of the floor was inclined, plus it was leading them to their destination. Green went first, Peridot went second, Steven was third, and Lapis went last. Unfortunately, her landing was less than graceful, unintentionally giving Steven a good peek of her undercarriage, causing the two to blush hard. (A deep red for Steven, deep blue for Lapis)
Putting that aside, they have made it to their destination. Green, now reaching into his left jacket pocket and pulling out four bags. "All right. Let's get started!" Green announced, and the main four started to salvage the area. As they were taking apart the old facility's computers, Lapis heard the same whirring sound that the young hybrid heard before. Steven was near the supposed source of the noise; an unknown machine has started to boot up again. Lapis notices, and just before it could fire, she pushes Steven out of the way, taking the blunt force of the blast, leaving her unconscious. Before both Steven and Peridot could panic, Green came over and summoned a gem's version of a stethoscope, and put it over her gem, breathing out a sigh of relief. "We got a pulse!" Green announced. "What was that?" Steven asked. "Kid, I don't know... but let's get out of here. We got what we needed anyway." Green said as he picked up Lapis' unconscious form and her bag.
Soon, everyone was outside the facility, making their way towards Green Diamond's ship, once inside, Steven and Peridot put away their respective bags while Green puts away his, along with Lapis', as she was currently unconscious. Green puts in the coordinates, and fires up his ship, as his pearl puts Lapis in her quarters and has him keeping a close eye on her.
French Narrator: Many Hours Later
Lapis had started waking up from her unconscious state, noticing an unfamiliar green gem. "I see that you have recovered." the unknown gem said, surprising the ocean gem, causing her fumble out the bed she was resting on. "Don't be alarmed, I'm just Green Diamond's pearl, and I was just monitoring your recovery. Well, let's just say that there will be some permanent changes to your form." the polo-wearing green gem said as he handed Lapis a mirror, who picked it up, despite her past trauma, and took a look of herself. Once she did, her reaction wasn't one that nobody could expect.
