That's the only thing that was going through Green's mind, considering none of them (save for Amethyst) did anything to console him. It doesn't help that gems don't physically age, but chronologically do, combined with both the secrets kept from him and the behaviors of a certain human girl ditching him when he needs her most, made the verdant monarch facepalm. True, he may call White an arrogant blowhard, even the paragon herself can admit that's the truth, it's been a month since a certain human girl ditched him. "Thanks, Pearl..."

Sighing as his pearl gave the recap on Lapis' transformation, again... He swears to the stars above to give him strength, he was gradually losing respect for Connie since the whole birthday fiasco, and the girl's behavior was, to be honest? Was driving him nuts, and Greg can attest to that, but before making Steven in a month-long depression, the elder Universe noticed that Connie has getting a bit too obsessive with the kid. Granted, that was prior to that incident, and that could be chalked that up by her being taught by Pearl. He has some real choice words for her, but...

*THUD!!!*

Diverting his attention towards both Greg's and Steven's passed out forms when hearing on both Lapis' physical and chronological age, causing him to chuckle. Seeing Amethyst grabbing an air horn and blasting it into their faces, waking them up, screaming, nearly giving them a heart attack. His pearl grabbed the accursed air horn and bubbled it away. Green noticed Greg was leaving the crowd, probably to make sense of the whole thing, and followed him, along with a certain someone.

"Hey."

Turning around, Greg saw both Green and Lapis, with the latter hiding behind the verdant monarch's jacket like a shy, timid girl. "Trying to process everything, huh?" Green asked. "Yeah."
Greg replied, as he looked towards the ocean. "How is that even possible?" the elder Universe said, while Green chuckled. "Buddy, if you want another example of something that's impossible; Steven's entire existence." Green said while chuckling. "Then again..." Green tried to say, but couldn't.

"Nothing is impossible." Lapis finished, while Green chuckled. "Took the words right out of my mouth. Now, if you excuse me, I need to talk some sense into Pearl." the verdant monarch said before heading back inside. Lapis, now turning towards Greg, was about to say something, but was interrupted. "Don't worry, considering what you've been through, you know, before all this". Greg said as he gestured to Lapis' fairly-tanned body during the last part, then he continued. "You know, when Steven first met Connie, I thought he found the perfect girl, but I now think that he already has."

Lapis blushed, fully knowing who that perfect girl was. Greg went inside, leaving the ocean hybrid with her thoughts.

French Narrator: Later That Night

Green was sleeping on the couch, while Lapis was sleeping in a brand-new sleeping bag. One can assume that Amethyst was the one who had it, and you'll be right. It turns out that she got it a couple of years ago, but didn't get a chance to use it.

"Psst! My diamond, wake up!"

Opening his eyes, the blurry figure got clearer after a few seconds, revealing his pearl in a state of panic. "What is it, Pearl?" Green asked in a tired tone. "You have a call from White!" the verdant gem said in a hushed tone, so he can't wake up the two sleeping hybrids. "Couldn't it wait till morning?" the verdant monarch yawned. "It's urgent!" the verdant gem said in a hushed tone as Green got up, and put on a pair of slippers. Soon, the two gems were inside the ship, where the screen was going nuts, the verdant monarch pressed the answer button.

Revealing White Diamond.

"Green, I'm coming over..."
