Ocean Genesis

Avatar: The way of water

"Everyone, the tulkun are back!" Tsireya called through the village "Our brothers and sisters have arrived!"

Li' Aeyana was the first to wake up that morning. If anything she was the first to wake up her entire house. Even Tonowari was surprised to see her excitement for the day. Taking her mount on Ryeli. As she swam across the sea with her ilu, her eyes scanned for her Tulkun.

Jinoar. As she was swimming, she had passed Neteyam and the rest of the Sullys. Their eyes filled with wonder and excitement as the tulkun danced through the waves of water. The tulkuns were larger than life but they carried an unique beauty to them.

Their songs welcomed her ear as she looked to see Tsireya and Ronal dive underwater to find theirs. But like she knew her spirit sister , she would wait for her first. Her heart swelled when she found Jinoar with her calves.

The last time she had seen Jinoar it seemed like the twins were still very tiny babies, but they have grown strong. The twos eyes met with one another as they dived underwater

Jinoar, I'm so happy to see you. Li' Aeyana signed. Jinoar and her calves joyfully whined. The children have grown strong. She continued to sign as the one of the calves patted his fin against her cheek to which she laughed. Besides never being at home, Li' Aeyana would often be found with Jinoar. Never leaving her spirit sisters side. The two so close that Jinoar had to comfort Li' Aeyana when she cried when it was their time to migrate.

And it won't just be them. I am expecting another calf. Jinoar informed as Li' Aeyana placed her hand on her spirit sister snout. The tulkuns eyes shifted to behind Li' Aeyanas head to fine three dark blue figures swimming upward. Li' Aeyana quickly caught on as she turned her head to greet the Sullys, it was when Neteyam winked at her as she nearly lost balance in her core that Jinoar whined

You seem happier since I saw you. The tulkun signed Have you found yourself a mate? Jinoar knew of the strain that was put on Li' Aeyana to find a suitable partner. The young girl having said on many occasions how she did not need a partner. All she needed was her sister but even Jinoar could tell a difference in Li' Aeyanas demeanor. For one, she did not seem as angry as she used.

Why would you think a boy has made me happy? Li' Aeyana teased Who says it's not because I have both my sisters with me.

I don't think Tsireya or I have ever made you blush The tulkun whined as nuzzled her snout against Li' Aeyana to which the girl held her laugh as she was prone to being ticklish Tell me of this blue boy that makes you blush

Jinoar! Li' Aeyanna signed as she turned her head to see Tuk holding onto Neteyams waist. She caught his , cursing herself for the day she taught him sign language.

He seems- different. Jinoar noted Good different. None of the boys from the clan ever seemed to make you this happy

Because I did not like them. Li' Aeyana quickly averted

Does your mother know? Jinoar asked with concern knowing the full content of Li' Aeyana and Ronals relationships.

Turning to face Jinoar as she drifted next to the calves who played at the end of her legs We haven't told anyone, but we're not hiding it. I think she knows

And she approved?

Li' Aeyana smiled grateful everyday that her and Ronal were at a place where she respected Li' Aeyana's choices So much has changed since you have been here. Mother and I are better now.

That's so good to hear. I had hoped you would make your peace.

Li' Aeyana turned to see Ronal with with Roa and her baby calf. Her mother glowing and radiant but more important happy. She turned to her tulkun as she signed It was not easy, but I think it's all over now.

"SULLYS!" Kiri and her brothers heard between the crowds of dancing clan members. For the return of the tulkun Aonung had suggested it be celebrated it, which meant it was up to Tsireya to persuade their parents. Though Ronal had some judgement , once Tsireya and Li' Aeyana asked him, pleaded, he could not say no.

"Aonung." Kiri acknowledged as she recognized a familiar smell. Li' Aeyana had brought herbs again.

"My sisters are looking for you all. I'm not sure where they are." Just then Tsireya ran to them out of breath with her hair loose

"You must come dance with us." Tsireya grabbed hold of Lo'ak's hand as he hesitantly looked to his brother "Please."

"I'm not sure if I can d-"

"He would love to." Both Kiri and Neteyam simultaneously replied as Lo'ak was pulled into a dancing crowd giving his siblings one last glare as he hated making himself an unnecessary attraction.

Aonung and Kiri had joined the rest as herbs continued to be passed along. Neteyam accidentally had taken them, mistakenly as they were rolled into snacks.

"They taste good, don't they?" Li' Aeyana sweetly asked as Neteyams eyes fell to her full face. Her hair was braided back as it felt like the first time he saw her. "How much have you taken?"

"Not enough to not stand on my feet. I bet tomorrow you will all be asleep on this reef?"

"Is that a bet?" Li' Aeyana challenged "Because you will lose."

"No, I won't." His raspy voice replied stepping closer to her as she played with a strand of his braid. "Kiri has told me on where she found you in the mornings."

"You're not fun to tease." Li' Aeyana sighed

"And yet you still like me." He winked as Li' Aeyana could feel her insides turn, perhaps she had taken too many herbs.

"Don't make me regret it Sully."

Hours had passed as the flame of fires grew larger on the reef. A frenzy of dance and laughter broke out as Neteyam joined Li' Aeyana in a dance around the fire. Perhaps it was the herbs but something within him felt different, more free. Taking in her scent of fruits he felt a buzz around himself. His knees felt like they could buckle when he felt her lips trace so slightly as she kept her warm hand against his torso. Li' Aeyana giggled as she titled her head back inspecting every detail of his face. From his yellow eyes to the tiny specks on his cheeks that seemed to glow in the dark light of the moon.

Both very aware of their heightened senses and their effect on the other. The air around them felt warm though the could wind blew threw their skin as Li' Aeyana hesitantly leaned in, until she felt his lips on hers again. Savoring the burst of energy in her heart as she felt Neteyams hand snake to the back of her neck.

The two had wondered off to Li' Aeyana's cove. On the sand at the reach of the beach. Neteyam could not ignore the feeling of sensation. It felt terrifying but also exhilarating. Taking the risk. Being under influence. It felt like taking a breath away from all of his responsibilities. Though the feeling of sensation coursed through his veins he wondered if she felt the same. At first he was simply attracted to her, the game of playing hard to get but it had become something else. Infatuation perhaps even more.

Neteyam lifted her chin with his finger, their lips meeting each other again. Li' Aeyana could not find the words to describe how she felt. She held onto his shoulder as his kisses trailed down to her neck. Li' Aeyana's hand threaded through his hair as she felt Neteyams tail behind her leg.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Neteyam asked "I don't want you to feel like you should."

"I choose you. I want to be bonded with you Neteyam. I-"

Neteyam placed a kiss on her forehead as they both took hold of their braids. Slowly reaching it towards one another as it intertwined with each other.

It felt so much different to simply bonding with an animal. It was like they shared a body. They could feel each others heartbeats. Their thoughts and emotions becoming one. Li' Aeyana took a sharp breath as she felt herself lifted in his arms , him seated in between her legs. They kissed for what felt like hours before resting counting stars. Li' Aeyanas head rested on his chest as she slowly felt herself becoming tired.

He'd never thought where they would have ended since leaving the forest. Abandoning their home, no less did Neteyam expect her to abruptly change him in the way she did. His future felt uncertain but he knew someway , somehow she would be apart of it. Even if they would one day drift apart, she'd be a part of him as he was a part of her.

"I wish we could stay here forever." Li' Aeyana murmured "That every day could be like today."

Authors note:
How I feel about this chapter:

For anyone who thought they were getting smut:

THEY BONDED BUT THEY DID NOT DO THE DEVILS TANGO
THEY DID NOT HAVE SEX.
I can't and won't write smut, it's just not me.

But anyways yes they bonded and they met my girl Jinoar, who yes I named her after Jinora from legend of Korra. Na'vi names are hard to come up with.

If I could define Neteyam and Li' Aeyanas relationship in a song it would be see you again by Tyler the Creator. I have an entire playlist for them and oh my God, it's my writing inspiration.

So where like at peak Ocean Genesis so feel free to ask me anything about this book or the character because I love yall and love hearing from all of you.
