Ocean Genesis

Avatar: The way of water

Li' Aeyana had woken by the soft traces that Neteyam made on the side of her arm. He took the risk of sneaking out at night to see her. He knew it would get him into a world of trouble with his father but she was worth it.

The pair would spend so much of their day in the water and ended their day on a cliff overlooking the village. It reminded him of home,  being in the trees- the forest to look down on their land and people and feel a sense of home.

Li' Aeyana smiled contently as she sighed and snuggled closer into the warmth of Neteyams body. She could feel the peaceful rhythm of his heartbeat under her ear, the one thing she was certain she could never get tired of. She felt him and though they have never done anything other than kiss each other she knew he would be she would bond with, should the day come.

Little did she know that Neteyam was wide awake and admiring the tiniest details that appeared to be coloured in ethereal gold in the soft light of the morning sun. When he saw her stirring he smiled softly to himself and continued to entangle his hands in her hair. After a few minutes of comfortable silence he kissed her forehead ever so lightly

"You look calm when you sleep." he whispered. An there it was, the smile he so adored. Still half asleep, Li' Aeyana brushed her lips against Neteyams. She groaned sitting up feeling the stiffness of her body from sleeping on sand, again.

"Are you saying I'm uncalm?" Li' Aeyana rhetorically asked

"When you're not yelling at me." Neteyam shrugged sitting upwards "Or when you call me stupid, still." Though the two were no longer at each others throats she still had the knack of teasing him.

"Only because you did not listen." She laughed pointing to the bruise on his torso. "I told you Ton'li did not like losing." She sat closer as her hand steeled over the bruise, as she could feel his heartbeat go faster. Her smile growing more , knowing that she had that affect on him.

"You made the bond. You were the one who didn't want to lose." Neteyams hand reached behind her neck playing with the beads around her neck.

"Not my fault you are sore loser." She quipped back. Referencing to the day before when they flew their ikran and tsurak. Hers, Ton'li was not only competitive but had grown protective over her. After their race when Neteyam wanted to kiss her , his gut was hit with the strong tail of Ton'li.

"Well, maybe I went easy on you." He teased their heads leaning towards each other as their lips brushed against each other.

"Does not matter, I'm the best in everything." She whispered as their lips met each other again. She could not explain how foreign it felt to kiss him the first time and now she could not go a day without them. Li' Aeyana would often get distracted when speaking to Neteyam as her eyes wondered off to his soft lips.

Li' Aeyana sighed and Neteyam used his opportunity to deepen the kiss. Still, he was gentle, making sure to never have her feel pressured into doing anything she did not want to do. She slid one of her hands into his hair playing with the beads at the end of his braids, which immediately earned her content sigh in turn. Neteyam pulled back ever slowly, his breath hitting Li' Aeyna's lips in a hot stream of air.

"We should probably go back, before anyone notices were gone." She muttered resting her forehead against hers

Neteyam groaned "I wish we could stay on this cliff." He groaned resting his head in the crook of her neck as she felt his voice against her skin

"I don't want to get you into trouble forest boy." she answered.

"I hate hate you call me that." He leaned back his head, quickly wrapping his arms around her waist as her knees rested on the sides of his thighs.

"Easy forest boy. We don't want my father asking too many questions, do we?"

Li' Aeyana was not like Aonung. She did not have many friends but she preferred it that way. She felt peace with being alone and with those around her. Her sister was enough for her. Even as children she knew Tsireya was her one and only true friends, but that has changed. She had never bonded with another girl, other than her sister than with Kiri. The two understood each other in a way it could not be described.

Kiri and Li' Aeyana were mindlessly floating above the calm waters having taking a break with the ilus.

Kiri looked so peaceful, which was a rare sight to see as of recent events. Li' Aeyana found herself so hypnotized by Kiri. The way she was one with with ocean , that she was not. How the creatures carried a deep trust within Kiri. It was beautiful, she was beautiful.

"Should i call you sister now?" Kiri breathed out as she watched the sky above them. Li' Aeyana's sweet laughter welcoming her ears

"Where did that come from?"

"I saw the little marks on my brothers neck. I don't believe him when he said it was a fish who caught his scent."

"Is that what he said?!" Li' Aeyana snickered swimming towards Ryeli as she petted her ilu.

"That's he told us. He could not even say it with a straight face." Kiri answered "Plus, you are wearing your hair down, which means one thing."

"We haven't- " Li' Aeyana quickly answered "I haven't even thought of-"

To which her friend snickered at the sight of Li' Aeyanas flustered face "Relax, I didn't think you were." Kiri added "My brother seems happy. You make him happy and I'm glad."

"It's strange." Li' Aeyana pondered "How quickly this changed. At first I did not trust any of you, but now I can't imagine a day without you."

"Stop, you'll me blush." Kiri smiled as their ilus circled each other

"I'm glad I can make you blush." Li' Aeyana winked as she lowered her voice.

"You're the only who can." Kiri laughed joining in on the tease. But the tension resumed as Ki' Luyke and Aonung rose from the water

"What a surprise, she's with the freak." Ki' Luyke remarked as Li' Aeyana and Ryeli protective swam in front of Kiri and her ilu

"Both of you leave. Now." Li' Aeyana warned

Aonung eyes dart between Kiri and his sister, his eyes flashing with irritation. "Or what? You'll get the Sully boys to hit your brother again?" he says.

"Aonung, what do you want?" Li' Aeyana sharply questioned "I am in no mood for your stupid games." Aonungs eyes darted to Kiri , arrogantly smirking to her

"We were just wondering where your brother is?"

"What?"

"The other one." Ki' Luyke replied "With the five fingers. Where is he?"

"Why should I tell you?" Kiri scoffed

"Well we could not find him after we took him hunting. For all we know he could be-"

"Aonung, what have you done this time?!" Li' Aeyana could feel her head pounding as she became irritated with her brother and Ki' Luyke's antics "What did you do?!"

"Calm down." Ki' Luyke commented "You're not pretty when you're angry."

"Screw you dick!" Kiri sassed "What did you do with my brother? Where is he?!" Kiris voiced Neteyam as he swam upward,  immediately glaring to Ki' Luyke and Aonung.

"What is going on here? What happned?"

"Something happned to Lo'ak. Something they did!" Kiri accused the smirking boys.

"We took him beyond reef. Hopefully he's a good swimmer, otherwise he is gone." Ki' Luyke mocked but his laughter was quickly silenced as Neteyam jumped them.

Neteyams eyes never left Aonung and Ki' Luyke. His eyes glued to them. Tackling both as water splashed from vicious punches. Aonung attempted to force Neteyam off of Ki' Luyke the vicious. Ki' Luyke tries to swim away and drag Neteyam under water, but it was no use. Neteyam is too strong, he pins him down. Li' Aeyan shook her head as Kiris hands were over her mouth, having never seen her big brother enraged.

"Neteyam stop! STOP NOW!" Li' Aeyana yelled as she dived in between them holding her brother aback as Kiri gripped Neteyam pulling him back.

"This fight is stupid, we have to tell dad. We have to go now!" Kiri exclaimed looking back to Li' Aeyana and Aonung

"Take him with. Go tell my father, I'll take Ryeli and try to find Lo'ak."

"Li' Aeyana, no. You can't." Aonung argued back to which she scoffed

"I would not have to if you had not taken Lo'ak beyond reef. Skxawng!" She hit the back of her brothers head as she and Ryeli divided underwater.

This would only be the start of their troubles.
