I stared at myself in the mirror, my body didnt seem to look right.
I felt like a strange barbie when i looked at myself.

Slowly i could see the shiny parts of my body spreading.
A porcelain doll, repurposed to be a puppet. I was a pretty boy but I wasnt... supposed to be one and my original body remained.

I felt fear, what if those puppets outside found out? What would they do to me? And they were talking about how relieved they were to see that something called "SkinTaker" hadn't gotten me.
I had to remember to call myself by my new name, Percy...
That was basically it. Just Percy.

Most of them seemed very very nice all besides one of them...
This tall blonde one named Milo... he was British and he sucked.

When I first saw him, I thought he looked so cute with his pretty blue eyes and blonde hair... I quickly learned he was a bastard when he burned me with his cigarette for staring.

Of course, the others were very kind to me though they noticed how different I was acting right away.
I need to be careful, I dont know what the hell is going on and Im worried about if any of this is actually real.

I hear someone coming and quickly hide myself from them.

A gentle knock was on my door.
"Percival, may I please come in? It is Dr. Tenderheart." I make sure to keep myself hidden and quickly get as dressed as I possibly can before answering the door.

"Heyyy Doctor!" I say to which gets a puzzled and concerned look from the doctor.

Hoo boy I already fucked up. I gave a big smile in return, I was secretly beginning to wonder if my chances were better with the ocean.

"Percy, Poppy told me to check on you... he said you are acting strangely..." The good doctor said then turned to look back at my poor attempt at looking natural.
"Y-You dont saaaaayyy?" I ask in a cheerful but stupid manner... oh my gosh what the fuck was wrong with me, I dont know anything about Percy.

Doctor Tenderheart squinted at me and adjusted his glasses, I felt my heartrate skyrocket.

Holy fucking shit he's gunna find out, I cross my arms over my chest so I didnt out myself as what I was.
He noticed my body language and raised a brow.
He was observant, fuck...

"Percy... did something... happen on that island?" Dr. Heartfelt asked cautiously as I nervously responded.
"Haha- no-" You know, like a lier.

Dr. Heartfelt called my bluff as he too crossed his arms then said. "Percy, remove your arms from your chest..."
I know I looked so guilty when I turned away and did so but I was just so embarassed.
I heard him behind me. "And turn around..."

I slowly turned, giving him a pleading look. I remember what dad said about pirates finding women on the boat... it was never good.

Dr. Tenderheart lifted my shirt and said. "I knew it."
All I could do was say. "Please dont tell Poppy..."
Dr. Tenderheart shook his head. "We need to lift this curse off of you!"

I was about to beg before I realised what he said. "The what now?" I asked confusedly.
Dr. Tenderheart proceeded to go on about some curse or whatever but honestly he lost me at "curse".

He believed I had been cursed to be female.
Oh boy he didnt even know the half of it...
So Poppy... this random old guy I didnt know much about other than that he was Captain, basically showed up and was shown my "predicament".

He laughed it off and though I did too, I had never felt so mortified. Holding myself while this grown man laughed at me while thinking I too was a man trapped in a woman's body?
Haha well wasnt he going to be surprised if he ever found me out for real.

They gave me bandages to hide my chest and basically told me not to let the rest of the crew know.

Apparently we did have one other female on the boat... they called her Janice and apparently she was dying to see me "again". I was eager to meet another woman, maybe she was like me!

I simply said I was excited to see her too, something I noticed I should try to do, the pirate speak... maybe that's whats throwing them off?
I decided to stay in my chamber for one more day before going out to meet the crew.

Maybe then I wont feel so embarassed.
