Avu went to mess and ate her lunch and was scrolling her phone alongside. Then she remembered about Sid suddenly and their last nights talk.

Avu's P.O.V.

Oh shit. I forgot about Siddharth completely. I needed to talk to him. Abhi jaoo. Arre nhi abhi to wo padakoo college mein hoga. Waha sabke saamne poochhoongi to na to firse chillaega mujhpar aur batayega bhi nhi. Already gussa hai wo mujhpar. Let it be aaj shaam ko college se aayega tab baat karoongi.

Avu kept her phone down and concentrate on lunch properly. But as she looked up from screen, she looked at the entrance and gulped.

Avu: Aaj to tu gayi Avni. Please bhagwaan jii aaj bachalo. Firse college bunk nhi karti. I swear

She went and sat on opposite side hoping the person won't recognize her. She quickly started eating her food to finish it and run away from there. She felt someone tapped her shoulder. She shut her eyes in fear and gulped. Again someone tapped her shoulder. She turned back while speaking.

Avu: I am extremely sorry bhayia. Aage se....

And she stopped realizing it's someone else who was looking at her confusion with weird expressions. Avu sighed.

Avu: Yes?

: Salt

She said pointing towards the salt cellar.

: If...you don't need, can I take?

Avu: Ya sure. Of course

She picked it up and handed her.

Avu: It's not mine anyways of course. Mess property

She said chuckling awkwardly.

Girl: Ya of course

Girl nodded rolling her eyes at her. She took it and left. Avu turned back and slapped her forhead.

Avu's P.O.V.

Kya yrr? Apni bezziti karwni koi tujhse seekhe? Kuch bhi bolti hai? Thoda soch samaj kar bhi nhi bolti. Mein na gadhi hu eo number ki.

P.O.V. ends

Again someone tapped her shoulder.

Avu: Arre salt nhi hai mere...

She said turning around but stopped and gulped. She saw Abhi standing there with his arms folded near his chest. He was standing there glaring at her. She let out a fake chuckle hoping he would leave her but no he was really serious this time. She got quite and looked here and there.

Avu: Di...kaisi hai?

She asked trying to divert the topic.

Abhi: Achhi hai. Par aap apne shubh charan college mein daale to pata chale na

He replied sarcastically taking a seat beside her where he had kept his plate without her realizing.

Avu: Bhai I am sorry. Wo mein na aaj....

Abhi: (cuts her) I don't need your sorry. When you don't mean it only. To fir just for name sake na bola bhi matt kar. Mein bewakoof hu jo accept karta hai ki tu sudhar jayegi. Idar ek kone mein chhup kar bethne se tujhe kya lagta hai? Mujhe nhi dikhai degi tu hnn? Ek second bhaag kisse rahi hai tu? Mujhse? Dude tere college jaane na jaane se, lecture lagane ya na lagane se mujhe koi farak nhi padne wala. It's not my damn future you are spoiling. Na hi tere teachers ko koi ratti bhar bhi iss baat se farak padta hai. Sirf tere parents ke paise kharab ho rahe hai. But trust me it will spoil your career. Koi pehli baar nhi classes miss ki hai tune. I understand tu topper hai. Iska matlab ye thoda hai ki tujhe sab aata hai. Teachers ki koi zaroorat hi nhi hai. Khair it doesn't concerns me. Na tu meri baat sunne hi wali hai. So fuck it. Mujhe kya? Khud ki life sort karloo. Apna career bana loo. That's more important. Jis ke upar asar hi nhi uspar time aur energy kharab kyu karna

He said disappointedly and started eating his food. Avu was sitting quitely looking down.

Avu: Bhai I am sorry. Mein raat ko late soyi thi aur.....

Abhi: (cuts her) I already said mera kuch bhi nuksaan nhi kia hai tune so mujhe sorry kis baat ki. Aur mujhe tere excuses, teri explanations bilkul nhi chahie

Avu: Bhai ek baar sun to lo. Mein raat ko late soyi to subah neend nhi khule. Mein khud paf loongi aur notes bhi le loongi. Koi doubt hoga to I will go to the teachers. Revisions saare attend kar loongi. Aur I won't miss any lectures from now

Abhi: Mujhpar koi ehsaan thoda hai. Aur raat ko kya kar rahi thi?

Avu: Wo actually....

She was about to tell about Sid but she stopped in middle realizing neither she knows everything correctly nor she had any right to share it with someone.

Abhi: I understand. Tu kal raat terrace par ghoom rahi thi. Oh sorry you were smoking on terrace

Avu: Bhayia aesi baat nhi hai

Abhi: To kaisi baat hai? Mana kia hai na hazaar baar achhi cheez nhi hai

Avu: I know but I am habitual now. Kbhi kbhi karti hu but. Teenage mein ho gya galati se. Ab aadat lag gayi hai. Kya karoo?

Abhi: Aadate badli nhi jaa sakti kya?

Avu didn't reply anything.

Abhi: Avneet Kaur Nandra agar sach mein kuch karna chaho na to ho jaata hai. Aur isse bhi mera koi faida nuksaan nhi hai. Mein aaj ke baad kuch nhi kahoonga. It's your choice

He completed his lunch quitely. Avu also ate slowly. No one spoke after that. Abhi put his dirty utensils in washing area and left.
