As soon as Sid forwarded his hand to open the door, his phone rang. He sighed. It was not hard to guess who it was. He took out his phone and saw the Collar I'd to confirm it was his father. He groaned audibly and went back and sat down on his bed. He took a deep breath and took the call. Both waited for each other to say something. After a minute of awkward silence, Ishaan wetted his lips with his tongue and finally decided to spoke up.

Ishaan: Hello Sid

Sid: Hii

Ishaan: How are you? How is everything going on? Your health? Studies?

Sid: Ya it's all fine

Ishaan: That's good. So you have friends now right?

Sid: Yes. I have a few

Ishaan: All well settled? Any problem?

Sid: No it's all good

Ishaan: That's nice

They again got quite for a moment. But finally Sid spoke up.

Sid: Actually I called you to inform that our department is taking us on a trip for four days tomorrow. And I have given my name for it. I will send you consent slip. You please fill it and send it soon. I have to give it to teacher tomorrow. We will leave in evening. And also I don't have much money. Please transfer some

Ishaan was shocked for moment. Sid never went out. He was also a reserved kind of a boy who just used to be with himself. Ishaan was not sure whether he heard right or not.

Sid: Hii dad. Are you there?

Ishaan: Ya ya I am here only. I am right here. Umm but what you said?

He asked confirming whether he heard it right or not.

Sid: I said our department is going on trip tomorrow evening

Ishaan: Okk trip. Ya okk. Where are you people going?

Sid gave him a few details.

Sid: I need you to send me some money and filled consent form latest by tomorrow

Ishaan: Okk. Don't worry. I will send it asap. Call me tomorrow before leaving and also once you reach. If you need anything just let me know. Take care of yourself and your luggage properly. And also lock your room properly before leaving. Check everything carefully

Sid rolled his eyes.

Sid: Of course I will. I know all that

Ishaan: You are going first time. So just telling you to be careful and enjoy your holiday

Sid: Yes I will. Don't worry

Ishaan: Okk I will send you everything soon then

Sid: Okk bye then

Ishaan: Ya bye. Call me once you get the money. I will transfer in your account in sometime

Sid: Okk

Call got cut and Sid threw phone on bed. He sighed in relief. It was such a difficult and uncomfortable task for him. He used to feel so awkward to talk to his own father now. He never wanted his relationships to be like that. Especially with his father. He wanted it to be a quite normal relationship where he could freely express everything. On the other hand, Ishaan was bit surprise with this change in Sid but was really happy.
