Appearance: Described as lanky and asymmetrical due to his heterochromia, Galileo has always managed to stand out, not always for the better. As he's never liked attention (even more so as he's grown older), he takes certain measures to tone down his appearance, such as sweeping back his maroon hair and pinning it in place with black clips. On occasion, he'll also tie a navy-blue bandanna bearing the Marines' white emblem around his head, hoping it further conceals his flaming hair. He can do nothing about his mismatched eyes, and so only acts as though they aren't bothersome to him. For daily wear, he usually dons a white, sleeveless, double-breasted jacket (which he nearly always buttons up completely) that fans out about his thighs over a black tank and black pants, with standard-issue boots he rather abhors.

Personality: Rather withdrawn and introverted, Galileo isn't the type to easily make or maintain friendships. He finds dealing with other people unappealing and keeps his interactions to a minimum when he can. However, due to the nature of his job, he's become rather talented at putting on a convincing facade, one that seems friendly and amicably and, above all else, optimistic. His acting is enough that most people aren't even aware of his true personality.

On the job, Galileo is strict and straight-laced, following orders to a T and never deviating from his assignments. He thinks those who perform anything less than their duty are weak-willed and unfit for their positions. Subsequently, even with his charming act, his coworkers don't fancy him at all.

Preferred Method of Fighting: A whiz with close-combat, Galileo keeps an array of knives on his person, varying in size and strength. Most of them line the insides of his jacket, hence why he tends to where it fully buttoned-up; two others are slid into his boots, and another is worn as a necklace, still tucked into the jacket.

Devil Fruit: Chase-Chase no Mi. A Devil Fruit that more often than not seems to end up in the hands of the navy, it allows Galileo to track down any Devil Fruit user he's come into contact with, or even just seen in passing. The scientists employed by his division have come to the conclusion that his Fruit allows him to lock onto the similar vibrations or pheromones that other Devil Fruit users emit, owing to their warped physiology, but it's only a theory that's in the works, as some people are still convinced Devil Fruits are nothing more than works of sorcery.

[so yeah, this is the person who held the Chase-Chase no Mi before Maddox!]

Short History: Born and raised on the island of Putridum, Galileo's earliest memories are swarmed by the festering sores he'd come to know as pirates. The island was practically overrun with the vermin long before Galileo was born; they paraded the streets without care for any naval intervention, looting houses in their spare time, holding ridiculous feats of strength for their own amusement. Galileo's family lived right in the midst of this hell. He grew up fearing and hating pirates, and was only too glad when the day came that he was old enough to enlist in the marines, who occupied a nearby island. He entered into service and began his training at the age of fifteen, and at eighteen, he was sent out as a full-fledged marine. While in training, he'd moved his family to the marine-occupied island so that he wouldn't have to worry about them being caught in the cross-fire of two drunken pirates, but by the time he'd left his training, he'd learned that his younger sister had left on her own, presumably to live the life of a pirate.

By twenty, Galileo had eaten his Devil Fruit and been promoted as a lieutenant of the tracking division.

Dream: At the moment, he'd like nothing more than to track down and imprison his sister for his foolishness. But previously, he'd wanted to be a part of the group that eventually captured Gol D. Roger.

Miscellaneous

Likes: Order, law, justice [the cliche marine traits], holidays, family

Dislikes: Pirates, lawlessness, crime in any fashion for any purpose, dogs, cats, basically any animal you can think of (they all seem to hate him)

Other: Galileo has a fascination with stars, and he prides himself on being able to name all the constellations as well as being able to navigate solely by the stars at night. He's actually able to navigate along the Grand Line by the stars alone as long as he's visited the island before.
