Esashi Kiyoshi [Tokyo Ghoul]
Name: Esashi Kiyoshi
Nationality: Japanese
Species: Ghoul
Kagune: Bikaku
Age: 19
Birthday: August 29 [Virgo]
Daytime Occupation: N/A
Relationships:
- The younger brother of Esashi Katsumi. They had a falling out several years ago, and each left the Twentieth Ward (their birthplace) to try and forget about one another. They've both returned without realizing the other's done the same.
- His best friend is Hansuke Holt, who he refers to simply as Holt. Has a strange love for all things foreign, which is the reason he initially became friends with Hansuke.
- Both parents are deceased. Diverging sharply from his brother's viewpoint on the matter, he respects his family's decisions to give their lives up for their children/loved ones. That doesn't change the fact that he misses their parents dearly.
Eye Color: Black
Hair: The same uncooperative black as his brother's, cut to about the same length. He'll often streak the lackluster locks with vibrant colors (usually with Hansuke's overeager assistance)
Height: 5'9 1/2"
Weight: 162
Build: Smaller than his brother in both height and build, looks more like a soccer player than he does a football star
General Appearance: He honestly looks like a slightly younger version of Katsumi, much to his horror. The act of a dying his hair outrageous colors helps him distinguish himself from Katsumi's image, and the fact that he has quite literally no preference in his attire. He'll often "borrow" clothes from Hansuke (as Holt likes over sized clothing, he has no trouble fitting into them) or walks out in sweatpants and a baggy hoodie. The concept of "dressing up" doesn't appeal to him in the slightest.
He wears the bottom half of his brother's mask when needed, though he's unaware of it, as Uta thought it would be interesting to give the brothers complimentary masks.
Personality: Hansuke always likens him to a mother bear: overprotective but well-meaning, and too caring for his own good (which, coming from Hansuke, is more than a little ironic to him). His protective nature really only comes into play where it concerns Hansuke, though, and to everyone else, that's fairly obvious. To Hansuke, he's a gentle, humorous college-age boy who maybe displays his motherly claws a tad too often, but is otherwise a lovable person with a witty personality. That's how he wants to Hansuke so see him, forever, if possible - but he's aware how foolish that plea is.
He knows human-ghoul relationships never end well.
Miscellaneous: He loves eating out at restaurants around Tokyo, not for the pleasure of actually eating, of course, but because he loves seeing how excited Hansuke becomes when he's able to try something new.
Character Song (Author's Choice): "My Demons" by Starset [Joint song with Hansuke]
