Attack With Three T's

One Last Breath pt. 6

"This is what you meant by "going to the authorities"? You're crazy, Ock!" Scorpion shouts as an entire police squad came after them.

"Quiet, all you need to know is that there's something here I need." Peter says looking around at the chaos he actively caused.

"No problem. Do what ya gotta. We'll keep these cops busy." Hydro-Man nods as he punches three cops to the ground.

"Don't harm any of them. Understand? Right now, we only have to worry about Spider-Man or Daredevil interrupting, but kill an officer, our threat level increases and that...c-could bring the Avengers down on us." Peter says making up his excuse right on the spot.

"Huh? It doesn't work like that." One of the officers mumbles.

"Dude? You for real? I'm trying to- Never mind." Peter huffs breaking his super villain facade he'd been putting on, as he head down into the basement lab of the precinct.

"Scorpion's right. This is crazy. I'm just lucky no ones been seriously hurt yet. Here we go. The storage locker. This is where they bring super villain tech to be catalogued. It's where they would have brought-" He thinks to himself.

"Yes! Doc Ock's Goldenbot." Peter says grabbing it and heading back upstairs. "Score!"

He went upstairs to find a few officers down with mild injures that will become more severe without treatment. "This was a disaster I should stop." He thinks.

"I got what we were after. Let's go." Peter says rounding up his villains and heading out of the precinct.

"Can I help? Looks complicated." Trapster asks as Peter typed away on one of Ock's computers he had set up in his secret lab.

"It's far beyond you, but I could use a pair of hands." Peter answers.

"There has to be a way to reverse this process. And I have to find it fast. This whole body is shutting down. I can feel it. Just lost vision in my right eye...God, and that ones my favorite." Peter whines in his mind.

Before he could finish typing out his line of code, Ock came broadcasting over the screen in the spider-suit.

"Greetings, Otto!" Ock spoke more cheerily than Peter was comfortable with hearing.

"You? H-how did you-?" Peter asks confused.

"Locate your secret base and break into your comm-system? Think about it." Ock replies like it was obvious, because well...it was.

"Right." Peter nods.

"Trust me, I've out-thought you at every turn. For example this time Otto, you won't be able to threaten any of my loved ones because they're all here with me. And there is no way you'll be able to find them before you die." Ock explains quite entertained by himself.

"No!" Peter shouts a little too passionately for who he was pretending to be.

"See? I've also "hacked" your base's self-destruct device. Farewell Otto." Ock smirks under the Spidey mask.

"Wait." Peter says proud of himself, holding up a small device with one of the metal arms. "Do you mean this self destruct device? Haven't we done this dance before, but in reverse? F-face it "Spidey" we know all of each other's tricks by now."

"Fine. He's a new one. I know the location of your "secret base". It's a complex hidden under a garbage landfill in Staten Island. And I've told the police. They should be there by now." Ock says convinced he just pulled the power move of the century.

"What?! But I have super villains with me. Officers could get- You can't do that!" Peter yells, regathering himself back into the character he was playing last minute.

"What can I say? I guess I'm playing by a whole new set of rules. Good luck." Ock laughs before cutting off the stream of video he was sending to their base.

The loudest of bangs sounded through the area rumbling through the hideout, a harsh shaking echoing through it.

"They're shelling us! We gotta get outta here!" Rhino shouts.

"I-I have to finish this experiment! That's all that matters!" Peter says quickly. "Scorpion! Hydro-Man! I need a distraction! B-But Don't hurt them."

"Why the hell not?" Hydro-Man asks, annoyed.

"I-I-I might need them f-for questioning." Peter lies.

"No prob, Doc. Got it we need to save one of 'em for questioning." Scorpion says.

"No. Wait. That's not what I mean..." Peter sighs as the two of them head out to fight.

"No offense, Doc, but your acting really weird." Trapster says feeling weirded out by the no killing rule.

"That's twice now with the "don't hurt the cops" garbage. What's up with that?" Scorpion asks Hydro once they got outside.

"I dunno. Guys about to kick it. Maybe he's feeling guilty. Y'know, life of crime and all. Seen the Vulture do the same kinda thing." Hydro-Man shrugs.

"Well he better not clock out before I get my six mill." Scorpion says as they fight off the cops coming after them.

"Hydro-Man! Scorpion! Leave them. We're getting out of here." Peter says heading out of the base and over to a conveniently located submarine because what proper super villain doesn't have one of those.

"A getaway sub! Yeah! There we go! See that's a hardcore mad scientist move there!" Scorpion says excitedly. "Sorry I ever doubted you, Doc."

"Hold on where's the Trapster?" Hydro-Man asks as they start to climb in.

"Sh-Shut up and get in!" Peter says since they were in a hurry and he couldn't really explain that Trapster had half figured out his plan, but in the dumbest way possible so he glued him to the lab floor.

"Captured?" Hydro asks.

"Doesn't matter. He was slowing us down we're better off without him." Scorpion agrees as they submarined away from all the chaos.
