(Merry Christmas!! I included another festive Spider-Man Christmas Song for my pleasure)

Bad Luck pt. 4

"Uh, hello?" Peter asks, answering his phone sounding like he had a mouth full of food.

"Hey, I followed up on that lead you gave me. It's led me to a storage company owned by one of the Mob's old friends. I'm there now." Rachael whispers, quietly clearly trying to stay on the down low.

Peter swallowed quickly and so hard it was audible through the phone. "Uh, gimme a few minutes. I'll be right there."

He hung up within seconds and Rachael sighed at him before putting her phone away. "And in the meantime...I'll just take a quick look around."

"Okay, Rachael. First things first: look around, see if the boy is being held here and if he is get him out safely." She says out loud to herself as she walked down the street to the storage garage. "What do I do if the kid looks like Peter? No! Stop, Rachael. Just stop."

She approached the gates and noticed a few pieces of wood covering a hole in the fencing around the gate. They were thin pieces that would barely keep anything out of it really wanted to get in, which made them easy to move out of her way. She slipped inside and looked around crouching behind boxes as she scoped out the area. A guard stood a few feet away from her guarding what looked like a stack of counterfeit bills. Sneaking up behind him she touched the back of his neck lowering his body temperature just enough to knock him out, but not enough to cause any real damage. She ventured further into the storage area finding two more men packaging the money into medium sized, black briefcases. With the simple flick of her wrist both of them were unconscious on the ground, one of them shivered in his sleep.

"Note, to self. That powerful of a blast is slightly too much for the human body." Rachael sighs in her internal monologue, crawling around some more. She came across a pile of counterfeit money, more money than she's ever seen and she's stopped bank robberies before. "No sign of the boy. Weird as the idea of Pete being a dad is to me, I can't imagine what it's like for him...You think I would you know with the whole being pregnant with a baby you don't want and aren't ready for in the slightest. But this is different. This kid is three or four by now and he never even knew about him...I wonder if that's how dad felt about Re-"

She was drawn from her thoughts when a crashing noise came from around the bend and someone began approaching the wall she was hiding behind. She crouched completely still listening, after a moment a guard walked past her with two boxes of bills, grumbling about how he did get paid enough for this.

"Close call." Rachael sighs, crawling around the bend and down the path. "Even with all things considered...I bet Pete would be a good dad."

She came to what seemed like the center work area for the guards, a few men were standing around a laptop, before one of them received a call and they all walked away from it. "An unguarded laptop jackpot."

Rachael quickly crawled her way over to the laptop, starting to snoop around for whatever information she could find. "A list of the shipping distributors-"

One of the men came back right as she stuck her flash drive into the computer. She quickly climbed under the table and watched the man walk past her and back the way she had just came from. "We are on high alert if you see anyone don't take any chances take them out!" The man yelled into his phone.

She popped back out from under the table she began to downloads the information she thought she could use. "Okay, got all the shipping company data. Which will hopefully tell us where they are keeping her son...I'll look through it later."

Rachael started to crawl back the way she came slowly and quietly, before coming across two guards having a conversation, she knocked them out before hearing a commotion coming from ahead. She assumed it was the man on the phone having discovered all the unconscious bodies she had left behind. "I think I've over stayed my welcome."

She crouched down and sprinted along the boxes lining the wall making it to the fence out front again and hoping overtop of it and onto the street. She started to quickly walk away acting as casual as possible. "Closest I ever want to cut it..." Rachael says out loud.

A hand popped out from above and tapped her shoulder. She jumped almost a foot in the air, turning to find an all too familiar man hanging off the building beside her. "Son of a-!"

"Sorry! Sorry! Sorry!" Peter urges, suited up and holding himself up with just his right foot and finger tips.

"What are you doing here?! And why do you smell like pizza?" Rachael asks, grimacing at the fact that the smell of his breath was too strong too for even his suit to filter out.

"Because...I just ate pizza..." Peter says, awkwardly.

"Well while you were enjoying your midnight snack I was gathering evidence and trying to find a missing child." Rachael says crossing her arms at him.

"I ate as fast as I could!" Peter says putting his other foot on the wall so he was hanging off the building at an upside down angle.

"I have some stuff to follow up on. I'll call you later." Rachael sighs, walking away from him. She was mad anyone could tell, he asked for her help to find this child and when she gives it to him he ditches saving the kid to eat an extra supreme meat pizza. Typical.

"Ugh...Note to self- No upside-downies after double pepperoni..." Peter groans holding his stomach once she got far enough away.
