Sonic's POV:

Shadow and I were sitting on the couch. It was New Year's Eve. Shadow looked at me and smiled.

"How are you, my little Sapphire?" He asked.

"Good, but I want you more than ever!" I murmured as I buried my cheek into his chest fluff.

 "That can be easily arranged~" He said seductively.

I felt my cheeks warm up as he said that. I could already imagine it...

"Do you want something to drink?" He asked me.

"No thanks Shad, you know I don't drink anymore." I reminded him.

"Right, sorry," He said, "I should remember that you and your sister don't drink." He got up to go himself some wine.

So I took that chance to go see if Zarina was okay. I found her on her balcony, staring out at the stars.

"Do you ever wish you could turn back time," She asked, without turning towards me, "And re-did what you regret?"

"Honestly, yes." I responded, as I joined her leaning against the cool balcony rail, "Some things I wish I could have looked back at and re-did."

She turned her head and looked at me, and raised her eyebrow, "Do you wish you haven't met Shadow?"

I stared at her in horror, "WHAT? No!" I cried as I grabbed her hair and pulled on it.

She laughed, "Joke, it was a joke! Ow! Stop it! You moron!"

After I let go of her hair, we leaned on the balcony rail and laughed. 

"You idiot." I said, "I would never want to go undo meeting Shadow."

She cringed as she said, "Otherwise you might've been with Amy by now." 

We both cringed at the thought of that.

She sighed and looked at the stars again. I knew she wanted to go home. But she and I both knew her home was here. I smiled at her. I hugged her tightly. She hugged me back. 

I whispered to her softly, "Happy New Year's Zarina."

Izzy's POV:

I arrived before Zara did. I set up a bucket of water by the door, so soon as she got here, I would open the door and splash her with the water.

Yes, I know she would kill me, but it would be worth it. Especially on New Year's.

Soon as I saw Zara come to the door, I grabbed the bucket of water. 

Ding Dong

I opened the door and splashed the bucket of water all over her. I couldn't help it, but to burst out laughing at her face. Then from a shocked face, her face became VERY angry.

"IZZY!! YOU SON OF A BIT**!!" She shouted, "YOU JUST DUG YOURSELF A GRAVE VERY EARLY!!"

She started chasing me around the hous, determined to murder me. I ran as fast as I could go. I was determined NOT to be murdered.

This went on for about 15 minutes before we got into a tangled heap with Fleetway and Scourge.

"Ow, can you two get off Fleetway and I?" Scourge snapped from the bottom of the heap.

Zara and I scrambled off the two as Fleetway helped Scourge up.

Zara grabbed one of my quills and yanked it hard. 

"Owwwwww..." I groaned

"You stupid Gnat bucket." Zara snapped, "Happy fricking New Year's."

Jazz's POV:

Melody and I arrived at the house at exactly 10:55. She and I got out of the car, in the frosty air. 

We held hands until we got inside, to take off our coats. 

"Hey Jazzy," Said Ben, "How are you?"

I shot him a glare, "First of all, only Melody calls me Jazzy, so cut it. Second, I'm fine."

He just shrugged and walked away, and I noticed Lilana watching him. So I went over to her.

"Hi Lilana," I chirped, "Happy New Year's!"

"Oh Hi Jazz!" She replied, "Same to you, Happy New Year's!"

"You like Ben huh?" I asked as Melody handed me a drink of champagne.

She blushed a little, "Hehe, Yeah. I have a massive crush on him." We looked over to him. He saw us and waved. I nodded, while Lilana waved to him shyly.

"It's cute that you like him," I said as I took a sip of my champagne, "What you really need is Will's opinion. Will is the best at this stuff."

She laughed. "I bet, I've heard a lot about Will."

Then there was a knock at the door. 

"Ben! It's Will! Can you get that? PLEASE?" Called Zarina.

"Yeah, yeah, I got it!" Ben muttered.

Ben opened the door and Will stood there.

"Hey Ben!" She chirped.

"Hey Will!" Ben replied.

They did a quick complex hand shake then Will closed the door behind her. I motioned her over here.

She grabbed a can of Coke before joining us. 

"What's up Jazz? Hey Lilana, how are you?" She asked us.

"I'm good, but Lilana needs expert advice." I said.

Will nodded. "Okay, explain what he is like."

"Well..." Lilana explained, "He's handsome, strong, caring for his sister, caring for others, friendly, stubborn sometimes and he is here." 

Will's eyes lit up. "You like Ben??" She asked quietly.

Liliana nodded. "How did you know?"

Will took a sip of her Coke, "Girl, I have my ways." She said cooly

"Will is a matchmaker. She's an expert of these things," I said winking at Lilana, "Trust me, she told me I should go after Melody. And look at us now!"

Melody walked over to us. "Hey Jazzy, I have surprise for you~!"

"What-mm!" I was cut off as Melody kissed me on the lips.

Will and Lilana giggled at Melody and I.

Melody pulled away. "I know it isn't quite Midnight yet..." She said as she got down on one knee, and pulled our a velvet box, "But Jazz Fox, I want to have adventures with you forever, together. I want to start a new chapter together. Jazz Thio Fox, will you marry me?"

Everyone looked at me, waiting for my answer. I stood there, my hand over my mouth in shock, tears forming in my eyes.

"Yes! Yes, yes, yes! A million times yes!" I cried. She slipped the gold ring on my finger, and she hugged me tightly. I let those tears fall, I was so happy.

She whispered into my ear, "Happy New Year's my Jazz."

Zarina's POV: 

We had 3 minutes until midnight (A/N: Not really 🤣). I gazed out into the stars up above. I looked down and I thought I saw figures down there in the garden. I knew if some people were trying to break in, they would hurt my friends. 

I lept over the balcony's rail and landed softly to the ground. They must have noticed me and ran around to the gardens in the back of the house.

"Hey!" I shout, "Stop! You aren't supposed to be here!"

They just kept running, so I went after them. "Stop! I said for you to stop!"

They rounded a corner, to the back of the house, where they stopped. I slowed down, and looked at them clearly. They were humans. And why was the garden set up with tea lights and...food and drinks?

Suddenly, people came out of their hiding places. I gasped as I realized who they were.

All my friends from the human world. My world. The Otherworld.

I gasped and cried. "You guys don't know how much I missed you!"

Angali, Isaiah, Sophia, Kevin, Reilly, Jayden, Jevin, Jaylyn, Jake, Abby, London, Grace, Melina, Amelie, Mako, they were all there. Then I saw him. I tried not to let out a cry. Everyone was here. 

"Hey." He said to me.

"Hi," I whispered shyly back.

London, Melina, Abby and Amelie tightly hugged me. Everyone else joined in. I had wished that I could be home to be it's all of them. And my wish came true. 

He smiled a small smile at me.

"Let's make this moment last forever." Melina shouted.

So we did.

3rd Person POV:

"5!"

"4!"

"3!"

"2!

"1!"

Shadow dipped Sonic into a kiss.

Melody and Jazz turned to each other on the couch and kissed each other.

Ben squeezed Lilana's shoulder gently.

Fleetway smashed his lips against Scourge's for a kiss.

Mephiles kissed Silver gently.

Zara hit Izzy in the head

 Zarina and her friends cheered and partied into the night.
