That's an interesting era and this sounds like a really interesting book.

Character information

This character is pretty well detailed and thought out with a lot going on. I always appreciate detailed characters. However, there are a lot of negative things going on for this character, including his personality. Of course, tragic characters do exist but most have something going for them. Whilst he does have so many negative attributes, he has some positive personality traits so if you don't want to change anything else, develop upon these positive traits a bit more. Overall, just make him a little more positive so you can kind of balance him out unless there is a foil in his story.

Relationships

As long as these are well written and well presented, then this could be done really well and interesting to see.

Backstory

Whilst this story makes sense, be careful having so many tragic things happen to one character abs have there be some positive aspects to his past. Nobody has a background that is just black and white.

Other

Makes sense, smart move.

Stats

These are pretty decent stats, just remember most stats should be in the mid-range area.

Extra

This is an interesting addition to this story and it's good to be this thorough.

Final thoughts
I like this sound of this character and it's very well thought out. A couple of additions here and there and you would have an incredible character! So good job.
