When Thaddeus was one, Matthew and Bailey gave him a toy hedgehog. However, little Thaddeus had no idea what to name his little hedgehog.

Later that day, he overheard Matthew and Bailey talking.
Bailey: *grins* He's so cute! Oh, and Thaddeus is too!
Matthew: Yeah. *laughs* I kind of want him to be like Jim was for Emmie.
Bailey: *smiles* Of course. *hugs him* That would be perfect.
Matthew: *hugs back*
Mattley: *kiss*

Thaddeus decided he'd let that happen. His parents were happy together and this Jim, whoever he was, had been the source of another hug and kiss.

He loved his parents and he loved that they loved each other. So he decided he would have a Jim. But he'd have his own Jim. Emmie's with a twist.

His hedgehog had only one letter different in name.

Jam.

Ever since, Thaddeus has slept with Jam beside him. Though, when Bailey died, he fell down the side of his bed and stayed there.

Jam had stayed beneath his bed for years, never forgotten but never quite wanted.
