Yukiko Oneshot #1

On the snowy mountains of the north, there lay snow everywhere from the last giant avalanche that happened 2 years ago. Buried in that snow is an abandoned shed, that has surprising held up for so many years. Inside was an snowy owl named Winter and a black-haired blue-eyed girl a named Yukiko. Who had lived there, trapped, for so very long. Cold, scared, and hungry.

Yukiko laid on the cold floor, who didn't make it to her makeshift cloth bed in the corner of the shed. She shivered violently in the freezing cold air. She would've given up and died months ago; if it weren't for the her snowy owl companion, who she loved dearly. As long as she had her snowy owl, Winter, she refused to die, and continued to hope that one day she would be found by her mother or someone and brought to safety. But until then, she continued to lie there on the floor, alive but just barely, slowly freezing in the cold air.

The snowy owl, Winter, gave a small affectionate hooting sound and nuzzled Yukiko's freezing cold face. Yukiko opened her eyes, and mustered a smile. She weakly reached up and petted Winter's soft feathers on her neck in comfort, Winter cooing in response.

"We'll......be alright...Winter...I-I promise...." Winter said softly, the air from her voice freezing instantly.

Winter cooed in worry and snuggled closer to Yukiko, spreading it's wings and attempting to wrap them around Yukiko.

Yukiko could do nothing but close her eyes again, continuing to stay awake. She shivered more violently than ever from the freezing cold.

The love these two shared was incredible, keeping them both alive and waiting with hope, in the abandoned shed, buried under an avalanche of snow.
