Mark Romwell
It's been a while since I added any new OC's to the book! This one isn't actually Danganronpa. It's for my favorite dating sim, Our Life: Beginnings and Always. But hypothetically speaking, I could use him for my own original stuff, if I ever wanted to!
Mark is, above all else, expressive. He's almost never angry, but he cries very easily, both out of joy and sadness. He is enthusiastic, fun-loving, and easily entertained. Though he rarely has the drive to try something new without prompting, he perceives almost everything as an adventure, including the mundane.
He is extremely affectionate, and can generally be described as sappy. His earnestness when it comes to complimenting his loved ones is almost unparalleled, but he's not particularly used to friendly teasing unless it's someone he's known for years. As a result, he frequently overthinks his interactions when someone pokes fun at him, wondering how serious they are.
He follows rules, for the most part, due to a fear of getting in trouble (and, once he's an adult, a fear of disappointing people he respects). However, he is not opposed to a few shenanigans every now and then (especially if he has permission).
He's more grade-obsessed than he wishes he was. He is very anxious about maintaining high grades, and panics when he bombs a test or forgets an assignment. It's honestly a problem. He's also terrified of rollercoasters and being on boats. As with his other emotions, if Mark is feeling scared, you will know. This severely embarrasses him, especially if he thinks he's ruining a fun time. But fortunately, people are pretty patient with him.
He copes with his feelings by writing lots of poetry and drawing corresponding art pieces. He's been doing both for pretty much his whole life, and he wants to write and illustrate poetry collections and/or children's books in adulthood. His other hobbies include playing card games, singing (his skill increases as he gets older, though he's far from a natural), and, of course, reading.
Mark considers himself a gender non-conforming cis boy. He looks pretty androgynous; he's short (though not obscenely so— he's 5'4) and pretty frail. His white, straight hair is kept pretty long as he grows up. He likes wearing it in a bun or a high ponytail. His eyes are purple. He wears glasses. He's had pretty much any shape of glasses you can imagine as he's grown up: rectangular, oval, square, circle... and he's especially fond of octagonal glasses. Always metal frames. He thinks they fit his aesthetic way better than plastic ones. Speaking of his aesthetic...
Baggy, artsy shirts.
Flowy skirts. Though they're only for sometimes. He also wears denim jeans
For formal wear, he usually wears button-ups (mostly black) and skirts. This is a prime example:
On very rare occasions, he'll wear dresses.
He has many piercings; he keeps getting more as he gets older. He has several in both ears and also a nose piercing. In terms of other accessories, he likes anklets and bracelets, usually of the delicate or simple variety. He also wears a singular plain ring. Essentially, he wears very simple accessories, but a TON of them.
Happily adopted and with a big sister (also adopted), he is a family man. Generally compliant, he actively seeks out the approval of his parents, whom he loves deeply. He is panromantic and somewhere on the asexual spectrum. His family is very accepting.
A very good character for fluff. I haven't played with angst TOO much yet, but I can see potential.
