when Hallena was little, she wrote several stories for funsies about what she imagined her birth mother to be like. mostly fantasy stories where she was some kind of queen. she usually wrote her as a redhead and whenever people complimented her hair she would say "thank you I get it from my mom!" before pausing and saying she actually didn't know where she got it from cause she was adopted and then would proceed to tell people about her stories

Hallena's biological father is some dude named Kevin Ryder who died due to a heroin overdose in I'm saying 2007 (mostly cause I don't wanna find a fc for him all I know is he's brunet). he has no other children but Hallena has since met her aunt and grandparents on that side

Hallena's parents (Rue and Micheal)(fcs: Amy Smart and Matt Domer) were very hard on her when it came to acting (as she'd more or less been forced into it at an early age) and when she got pregnant, that ended up in a screaming match, which ended in her running off to the US for a couple months and staying with some oc family idk who yet Artie I wanna do one of yours. she stayed there for three months before smoothing things out with her parents and going back to Cessca

Hallena was s/a'd by Micheal on two separate occasions, once when she was five, and another time when she was twelve. the second time, she got pregnant, but miscarried very early on. she's told very few people about it and when she does think about it, she journals and then just doesn't think about it

Hallena attempted suicide multiple times between the ages of ten and twenty and she's had an off and on struggle with bulimia and eating disorders

though she has a rocky relationship with both of them, Hallena has a much better relationship with Rue than she does with Michael
