When a zorro finds a mate they take them to the spirit tree and they both wrap their hair around a flower of the spirit tree to create an emotional bond that lasts a lifetime. If a couple can be foreseen to not have a pleasant or happy future, the spirit tree has been known to reverse the feeling by turning their dreams into nightmares, a sign to the couple that mating would only, in simple words, ruin their lives together, and therefore prevents the mating.

The female chooses their mate When dragon finds a mate the female bites the male neck and it leaves a tattoo on their back every mate tattoo is unique. The female get a tattoo of a rose on their leg or arm to show that she has a mate.

The mark can only be remove if their mate dies or they go to the spirit tree to get it removed if its the spirit world will the mark gets removed.

Mating season for zorro clan members happens in the spring, and summer. It last for 5 weeks during this time period zorro who are widowed have a chance to find another mate or stay single. Zorro members get restless during this season and are more connected to their wild side ( dragon, fox, wolf).
