Early Life

After killing her mother in childbirth, Olivia Haley Octavius was disowned by her father as a disgrace to the Octavius name and was publicly declared to have died with her mother. Growing up in a home where she was isolated her whole childhood, despite efforts from a kind scientist who mostly raised her to be brought out to the open world made her focus more on science she couldn't interact with kids her own age. Later on, desperate to prove herself to her father after finding out what he thought of her, she allowed herself to be experimented on in order to increase her intelligence despite what her mentor felt was best for her since she already had a high intellect from her copious amount of studying for a child. As a side-effect of experimental procedures and formulas, she gained her power of Technopathy without realizing it, and was later considered by her father to be trained as a weapon. After chip implants, separated but would create overwhelming power if fully combined, were surgically placed in her wrists, back of the neck, and temples, Olivia and her mentor, Dr. Terry Eisenburg, had realized what her father was doing to her and Dr. Eisenburg helped her escape but was unfortunately killed in the escape. With some files she had taken from the lab, Olivia made her way to New York to the only other known living relative she had. She found her way to Horizon High during their summer break and located her uncle Otto who took her in, reluctantly, after a few weeks of her living on the streets. After reading about what her father did to her in the labs, Otto agreed to hide her as long as she didn't tell anyone they were family until he said so. To hide her identity, Olivia changed her name to Oliva, cut her hair, and changed her clothing to disguise herself, but didn't change her last name since she doubted her father was looking for her with his little brother.

Season 1

When the new year started, she had her first experience of high school and loved it, but was skeptical about revealing who her family was so she never mentioned her last name. Her powers over technology are revealed to her after a walk home with her uncle past malfunctioning machinery almost attacked them, she unknowingly commanded the machine to avoid hitting them. After the accident that fused his arms to his spine, Oliva revealed herself to be Otto's niece so she could go with him to the hospital, only angering him after he had told her not to reveal their familial relation until he said so. After Otto became The Octopus, Oliva built a suit of armor with spare parts she found around Horizon and became the Mech Master in order to fight crime alongside her uncle and Spiderman without revealing her identity. Once he became evil and mind-controlled Spiderman, Oliva revealed herself to be the Mech Master to try to get her uncle to stand down, but when he didn't she tried to escape with an electromagnetic pulse emission, but was captured and controlled anyway. After defeating her uncle, Oliva unintentionally reveals her identity to Peter, who in turn trusts her with his secret identity and they become closer superhero friends along with Harry.

Season 2

    During the summer, Oliva gets to know her friends over Peter's perfect summer checklist and discovers more about what it's like to be a semi-normal teenager. She occasionally stayed with Gwen or Anya so she wouldn't have to be home alone all the time while Otto was in jail. When school started up again and Otto returned, Oliva and Gwen are the only ones to believe that he really had changed which helped when Oliva and Peter fought Silver Sable with help from her uncle. After the incident with the Lady Octopus that ended with Otto's body in a coma, Oliva claims to lose her powers after contact with the Nero-Cortex when Otto had been controlling it but is later revealed to actually be because she experimented on herself trying to make her powers more organic than mechanical to bring Otto back to consciousness since she still believed that he was a good guy. While in Peter's body, Otto gets to know Oliva better over a trip to Coney Island, where they get ice cream and she tells him that Cookie Dough is her favorite because it's like getting to know people; you have to get to know someone deep enough to find the good in them, like she hoped to do with her uncle someday. However, their family moment is ruined when it was revealed that due to the overexposure of experimental chemicals, Oliva became destabilized until she's saved at the Spider's Nest before she's brought back to her home. After the rough run-in with Superior Spiderman, Miles enlists Oliva's help, on Peter's request and telling him that she was the Mech Master, after she read Otto's mind and determined he was empty, with stabilizing the arms but doesn't out of fear of making it worse since her powers became partially organic and therefore corrupted her ability to control tech. When Venom strikes at Horizon, Oliva tries to fight him but in her weakened state she is captured and taken to Midtown High and, when Venom is overloaded, her Technopath powers are jumpstarted and fully restored and uses them to stabilize the Ock arms long enough to put Otto's consciousness back into his body. During the run-in with the Regent, Oliva is sent to the pocket dimension with Spiderman. but is trapped there when they try to escape with the Avengers and is only let out when they are. During the Goblin War, Oliva is taken by Adrian Toomes so her implanted chips could be used as power boosters to the Goblin Mech but is freed when Ock powers it down and destroys the chip implants. Following his passing, Ock left a new Octo suit for Oliva based on her Mech Master suit with some of his designs added to it and allows her to choose whether or not she wants to carry on the Octavius name and she does so with the rebranding of the Auto Ock.

Season 3

Oliva continues living on her own and was preparing for a life in college when her father discovered her location and sent agents after her until she and the Spider Trio defeat them and she tells her father to never to come after her again since she no longer feared him. When Venom and his sisters attack Horizon High, she helps the Web Warriors and Hobgoblin take them down as the Auto Ock. Afterward when Horizon is destroyed, Oliva is with Peter and the others when WEB is founded and she is declared the Mechanical Engineer of the foundation.
