History: Born in 1998, Ireina, nicknamed Rei, was one of the twin daughters of a Mexican Native mother and African American father, who both worked as archaeologists and would leave for months on end, sending her and her sister souvenirs and postcards over the years. When they would leave, they left her with her grandmother and uncle, mainly her grandma since their uncle fell into gang life while she was young. When she was 15, the particle accelerator exploded while she was hiding from the cops in a burned down warehouse, and she later found she could control ashes and the remains of anything burned and her uncle taught her to control and use her powers, telling her they would be her greatest asset. Her uncle also taught her the ways of the streets and, after testing early out of high school, introduced her to his gang. She was inducted in, but two years later it was then revealed to her that the only reason she was even accepted wasn't because of her skills as a stealth operator, but because of her powers. Ireina had heard about her parent's disappearance while on a dig after she left the gang and after her grandmother died in her sleep, she settled to run away. However, the day she was planning to leave Central City, Rip Hunter came to recruit her along with the other "Legends". It was discovered after finding out that Rip had lied to them about being "Legends" that she was never meant to exist and that had been the main reason she was recruited, but she becomes determined to prove herself as a member of the team. While on the ship, she stays distrustful of the team for a while, only really opening up to Jax every so often since they were the two youngest members of the team. She assists in missions, but only as a stealth operative since her hair would attract unwanted attention in older times and she refuses to wear a wig unless they absolutely need her in the field.
