Setsuna Sharpens her Katana for a Death Battle!
During the Taisho period (1912-1926), Japan was going through a revolution. Under the rule of the newest emperor, the country was beginning to advance in ways that far exceeded most other countries. Development of cars were huge for this time, as were most steel crafted products. Even the katana, one of the most well tested and recognizable swords in existence was booming during the time as World War 1 had just ended a couple years prior. Oh, for reference, the story itself takes place in 1920 to be specific.
But within the seemingly healthy times, a plague began to rain down over the country. A plague of demons! These monsters inhabit the night, killing people for food, or, if you're the demon king, you just casually turn normal humans into demons themselves! Seriously, just a scratch turned a person into a demon in seconds!
To counter this threatening force, the Demon Slayer Corps.(Pronounced: Core) was created, with the intent of slaying every last demon and protecting humanity. With their expansion over the country, they pushed back against the demonic threat, and while they did not slay their king, the Corps. certainly decreased their numbers by a huge margin. Enough so that the habitat of the demon race was reduced to the Southern half of the country. But all that would change years later, when the demons first stepped into the North.
Enter Setsuna Ookami, a lovable girl in her home village who's not afraid to get her hands dirty. Part of a family of 4, she's been working her own stand in their fishing village since her dad's been sick these days, mom's too busy looking after dad, and baby bro is way too young to work. Despite her family having to rely on her, Setsuna was a favourite to many common folk in their village, so she could sell her products with ease and gain loads of money. But one day, after many hours of work, Setsuna returned home and settled in for the night with her family.
Full Name: Setsuna Ookami
Age: 15
Height: 5'8"
Hair Style: Long pitch black hair in a ponytail
Demon Slayer Rank: Mizunoto
Uses a two-sword style with one sword
However, a noise in the dead of night woke her and her little brother from their sleep. And after peering through their door, they witnessed their mother and father being devoured by two unhumanly men. One of which noticed the children, so they chose to flee, but not before Setsuna grabbed her filleting knife for protection. Now, this was the winter time, so they had to flee through deep snow. So deep that her little brother had to climb onto her back so he wouldn't be left behind.
But things didn't last too long. Despite the fact that only one of the unknown men chased after them, he caught up pretty quickly since the dude was jumping between trees. And he just yanked Setsuna's little bro away and took him up into the trees, with nothing but some blood splatter coming back down. Naturally, Setsuna understood that her brother was dead, so she continued to flee, but again, it didn't last long because the man returned and jumped on her, pinning her down onto her back. This man was far from normal. He had grey skin, fangs and claws, and eyes like a cats. Setsuna tried to retaliate as the man attempted to bite her, and she caught him by his mouth by shoving her fillet knife sideways into it. Then, with one hard push, she bisected the dude, and watched as his whole body disintegrated.
Finally rid of the attacker, Setsuna determined her next move wasn't to go home, or even to head into the village. Prior to her and her brother fleeing, she'd overheard the second man say he had business within the village, so Setsuna made the choice to trek through the deep snow all the way around a mountain to the next village. And with no protection against an oncoming blizzard, this idea would almost surely be suicide. And about an hour into her trek, and with the sun now gone, she had to find shelter soon or risk freezing to death.
But there wasn't anything around, besides a trio of dark boulders in front of her. It'd have to do so she curled up in between them all and covered herself in snow as it can actually warm you up. Buuuuuut, not even 2 minutes later, Setsuna was bumped by something. She turned her head just a bit and saw one of the boulders was now right up against her. And when she reached out to touch it, she didn't feel a rocky surface. No, no, she felt fur. And then the harsh realization kicked in. She'd just plunked herself between three large Japanese black bears.
The bears woke from their sleep and began to move away though, but one of them seemed to notice Setsuna. She was approached and it bit down onto the collar of her kimono, dragging her away back to their cave. At this point, Setsuna believed she was dead. However, after being taken to the cave and roared at a couple of times, luck finally shone down onto the poor girl when a mysterious masked woman appeared. She slayed one of the bears, making the other two fearful and found Setsuna there as well, nearing the point of frostbite. The woman carried Setsuna and the dead bear back to her home where she tended to the poor girl.
Two days later, Setsuna reawakened, now in a different home where she came face to face with her savior. Her name was Torako, and after getting the details from Setsuna, she came to the horrid realization of what was happening. She explained to Setsuna that the men who attacked her home and killed her family were demons, creatures of the night. In fact, Torako was formerly a member of the Demon Slayer Corps.. She was a Hinoe, the third highest rank, and she was a supposed beauty on the battlefield with her unpredictable fighting style: Chilling Breath.
However, while on a mission with a companion of hers who, at the time, was the Flame Hashira, the two encountered the demon king. They were swiftly defeated, Torako even having one of her eyes scarred in the skirmish. And, with her friend believed to be dead, Torako fled, abandoning her duty as a demon slayer as the encounter left her afraid. Afraid of what demons as powerful as their king are capable of. But despite the horrific words, Setsuna became inspired and wanted to learn how to fight demons herself. At first, Torako refused to teach her..... but that's be one short story, so eventually she came around and taught Setsuna the ways of the Chilling Breath fighting style.
Get ready because this fighting style as 12 forms! 12!!! The next closest is the Water Breathing style with 11! This style is broken up into three distinct sections, which all revolve around a sword style. The first 4 techniques use the Mutoryu sword style, which means "No sword," the next 4 use the Ittoryu sword style which means "Single Sword," and the last 4 use the Nitoryu sword style which means, you guessed it, "Two Sword." The only catch about the two sword style for this was the fact you only wield one sword. You're supposed to use your free hand as if it is a blade too, thus is where the unpredictability comes from. Setsuna began her training from the beginning with the heart of all the techniques, and the first of 12, the Misty Aura.
Chilling Breath Techniques:
1. Misty Aura
2. Chilling Snake Sting
3. Icicle Fang
4. Everfrost
5. Frozen Gale
6. Icewing
7. Hoarcry Ambertooth
8. Aurora Vanish
9. Iceflinger
10. Wise Fylos
11. Sabretooth
12. Fenrir Storm
By being dunked into a tub of icy cold water outside in the already cold and snowy forest, Setsuna's first trial to learn the technique was to sit in the tub until she "feels it." Torako left her for several hours, and Setsuna was left out there to wonder just how this would teach her anything but to catch a case of frostbite. However, once a small pack of wolves arrived on the seen and beared their teeth at her, Setsuna was forced to fully dunk herself underneath the water as it was the only way she could even hope to protect herself. But that's when it happened. In some weird way, Setsuna's body began to warm itself beneath the surface of the water, and through the sides of the tub, she could see orange lights. These lights were moving in circles around her and started taking shape into that of the wolves themselves. And once the lights dimmed, Setsuna believed they had left her, so she resurfaced. There stood Torako who was genuinely impressed by what Setsuna, unknowingly, had accomplished.
By cooling her body and controlling the way she breath, Setsuna can form sort of a bubble around her. And within it, she can sense the heat signatures of other life forms, even without having to look at them. It's actually the same technique that wolves use as they were the ones who invented the craft of the misty aura. And as Setsuna continues to train this way, she'll actually learn how to lower her own body temperature, similar to a Great White Shark. This helps her with detection through the technique and to resist the cold. Anyways, Setsuna's training continued for 9 straight months, with each technique proving to be tougher than the last. Even when she moved onto the actual sword techniques, they were difficult, especially when Torako refused to let Setsuna use an actual sword, and let her only use a wooden one. Still, if learning just forms 2-4 can let you chop things to pieces with just your hands, then count me in on this training.
Same here. And one day, after impressing Torako with a demonstration of the 11th technique, she believed Setsuna was ready to learn the 12th and final form. However, unlike all forms prior, the Fenrir Storm does not have a technique in which you can learn it. It is a form that is unique to only you, and thus can be used in many ways. Only the user can determine how they choose to use the technique. And after Torako brought Setsuna to a bridge next to a waterfall, she, at last, handed her a real sword. The best way to learn how to use the 12th form is through battle, so the two did battle with one another, using each and every technique of the Chilling Breath style, and neither being able to gain the upper hand.
It was the ultimate battle of master and student, and in its final moments, Setsuna unleashed the 11th form, while Torako unleashed her version of the 12th. Torako snapped Setsuna's blade in two, but Setsuna, grabbed the broken off part of her blade, did a double rising slash, and snapped Torako's blade too! And with that swift motion and sending a huge shock through Torako, Setsuna mastered the Fenrir Storm. Torako bowed in defeat and granted Setsuna the title as the new master of the Chilling Breath style, with it being her duty now to some day teach this style to the next generation.
And with her training now complete, Setsuna was ready to take on the trial to officially become part of the Demon Slayer Corps.. To do this, she traveled far to a mountain where a special flower bloomed. Demons hate this type of flower and thus the ones on this mountain remain trapped there year round. Setsuna was among over a hundred children who wished to succeed in this trial, some of which are more familiar than the rest, including such characters as Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Kanao.
Setsuna had to survive and slay demons for a full week if she wanted to become a demon slayer. This trial was a test of many things, but for Setsuna, it was her courage that would be tested more than anything else. As demons are what killed her family, it would be natural for her to show fear in this situation. But she swallowed that fear and kicked some major ass! Over the span of that week, Setsuna managed to slay 18 demons, as did her rival who she met during the trial, Suishou Kitama, wielder of the Crystal Breathing style. Her style, while only having 6 forms, is hella strong as it can let her slice through diamonds.
Out of the 100's of children who began this trial, only 7 remained by its end. Each received the rank of Mizunoto, the lowest of 10 in the Demon Slayer Corps, as well as a messenger crow, or a sparrow if you're Zenitsu. Each chose the ore they wished their new swords to be crafted from. For Setsuna, she chose hers to be made out of Mercury ore, one of the strongest during the time. And with their swords and uniforms arriving in a weeks time, their trial had come to an end. Soon, they would all begin their first real missions as true demon slayers.
So Setsuna returned to Torako, who broke down into tears to see Setsuna had survived the trial. The two celebrated, as if they were mother and daughter, and spent their final week together as a family. And once that week went by, an older woman arrived at the home and delivered Setsuna her uniform and her new sword.
This sword is known as a "Nichirin," and it actually changes colour to match that of its wielder. Setsuna's blade had been customized to have serrations along its edge, similar to wolf teeth, and upon grasping her katana, the blade turned a bright white, a colour never before seen by anyone in the Corps.. Sounds familiar to another someone we all know who got a black blade. And at this point, Setsuna had received her mission from her messenger crow. But before she left, she gave thanks one last time to Torako for teaching her and for making her into the brave young woman she is today. And Torako obliged by gifting Setsuna three things. The first were her old gloves. These gloves were laced with the same metal used to slay demons that a Nichirin blade possesses, so this would make Setsuna's hand strikes even deadlier than before. And the second gift, while told she didn't have to wield it, was the sword she used during her battle with Torako. Torako had repaired it, even placing the serrations into the blade just like the Nichirin Setsuna has now. All Torako wanted was for Setsuna to keep it on her at all times as a reminder of the time they spent together. And finally, Torako gave her a mask similar to her own. This was a Japanese style wolf mask, and Torako said it relates to Setsuna.
It was such a touching moment.... makes me want to cry.... buuuut, I can't go doing that because we're not done here yet! Setsuna set off, heading to a nearby city where, over the past 3 years, teenage girls have been disappearing into the night. Upon arriving in the city, Setsuna began questioning the locals and was pointed to the town doctor who arrived almost the exact same time the disappearances started. Setsuna met this doctor and he told her that all the girls who vanished all came to him the afternoon before they'd disappear. All would have small slice marks on them. The doctor even gave Setsuna the information of the three girls he'd seen earlier that day, with two of them even being twins. Setsuna made her way to the first home and found everything in order, with the teenage girl still there and unharmed. But, when she found her way to the twins home, she found them both gone. She followed their trail from an open window and eventually found them both, only they were in something like a trance.
Setsuna decided to follow them, believing they'd lead her to the demon controlling them. And after a few minutes, the twins suddenly stopped in a dark alleyway. And, from its shadows, a demon emerged. Setsuna quickly sprung into action, unsheathing her blade and attacking before the demon could do harm to the twins. But the demon was expecting Setsuna to be there, and, while her back was turned, Setsuna's right arm was scraped by a knife and drew blood. The knife was then thrown to the demon as Setsuna turned to see the very same doctor from before standing next to the twins. While he was fully human, he was helping his demon brother obtain food so he wouldn't die. They explained that, while they wished to acquire the twins to use for food, they could use them as a trap for Setsuna as well.
This demon could use an ability called "Blood Arts," a technique that's different for each demon. This demon in particular could take control and manipulate a person after consuming a drop of someone else's blood, this is how he put the twins into a trance. And so, he licked the bloody knife he'd received from the doctor, and Setsuna completely froze and fell into a deep sleep. Hours later when she woke, she'd been tied up, along with the twins and taken to the doctor's home. As the sun was beginning to come up when Setsuna had been put under, the demon had to wait until the next night or risk dying from the light of the sun. So, the demon began to torture the girls, cutting their skin with knives and licking off the blood that would stain it.
For the entire day, they succumbed to this torture. And once the night arrived, the demon left for only a moment to prepare for his soon to be meal. Setsuna had to act fast to escape this predicament, and she did. By breaking her right wrist, she was able to slip it free from her binds, then, after putting it back into place, she used one of her techniques to shatter the chair she was tied to. Now free, she grabbed her gear and prepared for the demon to return. And once he did, she gave him just enough time to realize she was gone before ending his life. With one swift motion, Setsuna decapitated the demon, and she and the twins watched as he disintegrated. Setsuna then freed the twins and took down the doctor, humiliating and shaming him for aiding in the kidnapping and deaths of hundreds of woman over the years by handing him over to the people of the town. Lord only knows what happened to that guy.
They probably threw him into prison or killed him. My money's on the latter, hehe. Anyways, with her job now done, Setsuna was given her next mission. A large gathering of demons had formed around the peak of a nearby mountain. The Corps. was sending several of its members to the snowy mountain, and along the way, Setsuna ran into her forever rival, Sui. She's the Crystal Breathing style girl. Anyways, as night fell, the operation began. And, it was lead by one of the 9 Hashira, or "Pillar" to make things easier. A Hashira is essentially the best of the best when it comes to demon slaying, and each wields some sort of element in their style. In this case, the operation was lead by Sanemi Shinazugawa, the Wind Hashira.
Under his leadership, the slayers managed to, well, slay a large portion of the demons that'd taken shelter on this mountain. However, things changed when Sanemi had been called away by the other Hashira. A case involving a member of the Corps. occurred, and this member had supposedly defended a demon, refusing to let it be killed. I'm sure you can guess what that really is. So, with their leader following orders and abandoning the slayers, their numbers quickly began to diminish when, a powerful demon appeared on the battlefield. And it soon came down to only being Setsuna and Sui left standing. Setsuna dealt with the weaker demons, clearing out the last of them as Sui faced off with the stronger foe.
Sui didn't fair too well though as this sword wielding demon quickly disarmed her(not literally) by snapping her Nichirin in two. Setsuna arrived to intervene before the demon could kill Sui, and upon seeing how Setsuna wielded her blade, the demon laughed at her. He knew of her fighting style, the Chilling Breath, and revealed that he was formerly Torako's companion, Yashiro, who had died all those years ago when they encountered the demon king. He was killed and brought back to life as a demon to serve under the king, and while certainly powerful enough to be classed as an Upper Moon Demon(basically their top ranked), he refused the title. Still the fact he's on par with them says enough of his skills. Plus, he was the former Flame Hashira as well, so his skills with a blade were already incredible.
Showing fear for the first time since becoming a slayer, Setsuna tried her best to fight this seemingly indomitable foe. Yashiro effortlessly dealt with everything Setsuna threw at him, even her strongest technique, the Fenrir Storm. Even when Setsuna handed her Nichirin off to Sui, and then wielded the sword given to her by Torako, the two could not land a single hit on Yashiro. Yashiro snapped Setsuna's Nichirin in Sui's hands and, while not breaking the katana in Setsuna's hands, disarmed her, causing the blade to fly and be embedded into a tree. And, in one swift strike, Yashiro blinded Setsuna permanently by swinging his blade across her very eyes.
But seeing how much fun he had fighting her, Yashiro spared Setsuna and Sui's lives, in hopes that they can become stronger so they can have a real battle someday. He left them but the damage was still dealt. Sui had been stabbed in one of her legs, and Setsuna had been freakin' blinded. Neither were going to be fine after this crushing defeat. And after grabbing Setsuna's sword that was in the tree, Sui carried them both back to the one place she figured they be safe. Her home. You see, Sui is a member of the Kitama family, owners of the mining industry in Japan. They're pretty rich and some former family members were even demon slayers. Sui stands as the only slayer in her generation currently.
The Kitama's are incredibly strict and think the worst of everyone who isn't them. The only reason Sui doesn't act this way is because of her rivalry and growing friendship with Setsuna. So, when they arrived, Sui tried desperately to convincer her family to take in Setsuna to help her. It took quite a lot, but they eventually gave in and allowed her to come in to be treated. Setsuna's eyes were bandaged up, and thankfully for her, her style still allowed her to see thanks to its first form. Still, the damage left her weak.
And boy, did the Kitama family take advantage of her. Setsuna was put to work as they made the very clear point that she owed them now, and that only her service would do. But despite actually doing a good job to anyone else's eyes, to the Kitama's, she was doing a shit job. Beaten almost every day, it was torture inside the residence. Only Sui would comfort her as she felt so sorry for dragging Setsuna into all this. And eventually, her family crossed the line. Whilst at the dinner table, Setsuna tripped and spilt a drink on Sui's big brother. Now, what did he do to her, you ask? Get ready because it's pretty nasty.
Despite Sui's refusal, the rest of the family overruled her and Setsuna was severely punished. Setsuna's upper body was laid down on the table, with her arms spread out. Then, her hands were stabbed with two knives, pinning her down onto the table. And then.... Sui's older brother began to rape her. It was horrific for both girls, Sui being forced to watch and Setsuna taking the punishment. This had to stop, and when Sui finally snapped, it did. The once obedient daughter of this legendary family slaughtered them all, leaving only Setsuna alive. And once she freed and patched up Setsuna, the two prepared to set out again and leave this nightmare behind. Setsuna reclaimed her sword and other gear, dawning her wolf mask now and Sui took the Nichirin of her great, great grandmother, the first in her family to become a Demon Slayer.
With the two finally free, they fled to the north of the country. They believed that to end the true nightmare they were in, they must defeat the one who bested them prior. They had to slay Yashiro. So to the northern harsh terrains they traveled to. Going by boat was the only option though, and it took them through icy cold waters filled with icebergs. And like the titanic, their ship eventually crashed into one and began to sink. Everyone made it off though, but Setsuna and Sui found themselves on their own rowboat by themselves. And they were hours from the nearest island. But the two gritted their teeth and toughed things out, rowing through iceberg filled water in freezing cold air.
They rowed for hours with no land in sight. Sui eventually fell unconscious from being overexposed to the cold. Setsuna remained relatively okay thanks to her training and being able to regulate her own body temperature. And so, to speed up their movements and hoping to find land quicker, Setsuna jumped into the frigid water and began pushing their boat. Now naturally, a person's internals will shut down after around 3-5 minutes if sitting in freezing water. Setsuna lasted for well over an hour, and eventually found land. And even though Setsuna fell unconscious too, some people from a nearby village found them and took them in.
The two woke up a few hours later, having been warmed by the fire and were treated by these villagers. They recognized the two girls as Demon Slayers, and informed them of their situation. A single demon was terrorizing their village, but not killing people. It was stealing gunpowder and would flee to a nearby mountain where a glacier was. The village rested relatively close to this massive glacier, which spanned well over 10 km in length. And as thanks for saving them, Setsuna and Sui decided to go to this mountain and slay the demon. They trekked for a while before coming to a point where the glacier met the mountain. There, they met the demon and he'd hooked up all of the gunpowder he'd stolen to the glacier. He figured if he could wipe out the village in one shot, then he's have an all you can eat buffet with what remained of the villagers.
He blew up the gunpowder, and the explosive shockwave cracked and moved the glacier, making it pick up speed as it closed in on the village. Sui stayed to deal with the demon, and she did slay him; and Setsuna rushed back to try and assist the villagers. She did make it back, but the glacier was far too close and was moving too fast for everyone to escape. Setsuna knew she was the only one who could hope to stop this massive force of nature, so she stepped forward, unsheathed Torako's katana, and inhaled deeply. She calmed her mind and body, listening to the voice of the ice itself, and hearing where it cried. And as the glacier went to crush her, Setsuna prepared her blade and called out her potentially final strike. Chilling Breath Style Form 13: Tundra Glacier.
She swung her blade and just tapped the glacier. But that one little strike was enough to, LITERALLY, split the entire glacier in half! She's like god damn Moses! And as it was split, the two halves went around the village and its people, saving everyone and everything that rested between it! Holy shit! That might just be the most absurd feat we've seen of these 7 main OC's!
I'd say it is. And with their duties now fulfilled, Setsuna and Sui were finally able to tend to their training. For well over a year, they trained at the peak of the mountain, with both toughing it out against the cold, increasing their strength and honing their techniques to the max. The two were evenly matched at this point, and at last, they believed they were ready to take revenge. They set out from the village and headed down South to more demon infested lands. They would find Yashiro and slay him. For Sui, she hoped to regain the honor she lost that day. And for Setsuna, she hoped to avenge the loss for Torako and herself, and finally put Torako's companion to rest.
The pair returned to the peak of the mountain they were defeated on, and when their messenger crows finally returned to them, they told them to send out the word to Yashiro that they were ready to kill him. And, just one day later, in the dead of night, Yashiro appeared. He could already tell the two were much stronger than their previous encounter. And, he told that, if they should lose again to him, he would kill them without hesitation. The girls unsheathed their blades, as did Yashiro, and their battle began. While Yashiro was still more skilled, the gap had certainly closed. Even Setsuna, who was blind, could hold her own thanks to the Misty Aura form.
Their duel lasted for hours, to the point that the sun was beginning to rise. And with it nearing, the battle had to come to its climax very, very soon. Yashiro unleashed his hidden blood arts technique and went for his final strike against the girls. As he was injured from a few attacks prior, some of his blood stained the blade of his Nichirin. His blood turned to lightning, and with the swing of his blade, he could fire it as if it was a natural bolt. Both girls avoided the attack but Setsuna lost balance and gave an opening for Yashiro to kill her. Setsuna tried to defend with her katana, but like before, Yashiro snapped it in two and pinned her down. But Sui leaped in at the last moment, taking the incoming blow to save Setsuna. Her right hand was chopped clean off, buy she managed to get Yashiro off of Setsuna and give her the time to recover and strike. And with the gloves that Torako gave to her so long ago, Setsuna cut clean through Yashiro's neck, severing his head from his body and ending the girls nightmare forever.
And with his final words before he was gone for good, Yashiro expressed his congratulations and his last request. He wished for his Nichirin to be taken back to the Demon Slayer Corps. so it could be retired from duty permanently. Setsuna obliged and the two watched as the once great demon slayer disintegrated before their eyes. And unfortunately, that's where our story for Setsuna ends so far, which means it's time for them feats!
Setsuna has a multitude of impressive feats over her time from being trained. The fact that her bare hands can cut through people like butter is already an incredible note to her physical strength. However, none of that is really a factor when it comes to her most amazing feat, when she sliced the glacier clean in half. On average, glaciers are around 200-300 metres in height, and as this one was over 10Km in length, we can take in its length, width, and height and assuming the striking force needed to produce this feat. Plus, we must also factor in that the glacier was comprised of blue ice, the toughest and most durable form of ice in the world.
To break the glacier in half with just one strike, Setsuna would've had to have been hitting with over a Megaton of TNT! 1.37 Megatons to be exact! That's 68.5 times stronger than the nuke that was dropped on Hiroshima! Damn, all that from just a tap of her blade? I'm starting to wonder if even the demon king could survive that level of attack.
She's no joke when it comes to speed as well. Setsuna has regularly moved at speeds faster than the eyes can see. The human eye can typically keep track of objects moving over 9000 MPH, so it's safe to say she can move faster than this. However, this isn't even close to her quickest feat. In the rematch with Yashiro, she dodged a bolt of lightning. This was stated to be natural, so the bolt would be moving at minimum of 200,000 MPH. Setsuna was about 30ft from when it was launched, so to dodge the bolt in such a short time, she would've had to have been moving at least 41% the speed of lightning. That's over 82,000 MPH!
This girl is like the ultimate demon slayer, holy shit! She can tanks plenty of hits too! She's been stabbed numerous times, beaten on several occasions, but her most impressive feat was when she was blown through a giant boulder. The boulder itself was around 10ft in height. As Setsuna was blown through it, shattering the boulder in the process, this can be comparable to pulverization. The destroy a boulder of this size, and assuming its made of granite, the most naturally occurring type of rock, this comes out to over 3 tons of TNT. So Setsuna is capable of a strike from a god damn rocket launcher.
And we cannot forget about all of her techniques. While majority of the Chilling Breaths forms revolve around offense, there are some that lean over to defense as well. Mainly form 1: the Misty Aura, and form 8: The Aurora Vanish. We've already covered what form 1 is capable of, but form 8 is a much different case. By waving her katana in a specific motion, Setsuna is able to conjure an illusion akin to a blizzard which surrounds herself and her opponent. However, Setsuna is able to see through her illusion thanks to the Misty Aura, so only her enemy is effected by the illusion.
Feats:
-Survived 9 months of learning the Chilling Breath fighting style-
-Survived a full week in the Demon Slayers trial, slaying 18 demons in the process
-Did not die after being blinded by Yashiro
-Withstood a full torturous week with the Kitama family
-Cut a glacier clean in half with one strike
-Defeated: Dozens of demons, Sui, Torako, Yashiro(with assistance from Sui)
Setsuna is debatably the greatest swordswoman in all of Demon Slayer, and her feats can potentially back up that claim. Even after being blinded, she has not slowed down one bit. Should a demon see a girl wearing a wolf mask approaching, they should run in fear. Setsuna is out there, and she is ready for battle!
"Even if I am blind, even if I have no weapon, even if I am afraid, I will never give in! I will defeat you and bring peace to the woman who trained me! I will defeat you to regain the honor of myself and my dear friend, Sui! YASHIRO, THIS S YOUR END!!!" Setsuna to Yashiro (Chilling Steel)
NEXT TIME....
With the 7 OC rundowns finally complete, it's almost time for a DEATH BATTLE ROYALE!!!! Stay tuned for the epic clash between these mighty warriors, and vote on who you think will claim the ultimate crown and survive to the end!!!
