Julie Conner doesn't have a good home life with her mom. But what she does have is a desire to be a vet, so she begins working as an assistant at a vet's office during her senior year. She works alongside Dr. Lucille Madden, who had lost her daughter years prior. The two find themselves forming a bond that goes a little farther than just teacher and student. It's based off the Sabrina Gregory novel of the same name.
