Hell Girl x Demonophobia

Crossover between two works I'm a fan of.

Sakuri Kunikai walked into the classroom, exhausted and hopeless. The other students gasped at the sight of her. Someone stapled the sleeves of Sakuri's sweater, disallowing her from properly wearing it.

Sakuri walked over to her desk, placed her ruined sweater on the chair, sat down, and leaned on her desk.

It's Aya again. Sakuri thought bitterly.

Aya, a girl from a different class, has been bullying Sakuri for weeks now. All because Sakuri accidentally walked in on Aya smuggling cigarettes. Aya began bullying Sakuri shortly afterward, not wanting her to tell anyone about what she did. Nobody else knows about the bullying because Aya did not want to get caught. She would bully and abuse Sakuri behind closed doors.

"If you tell anyone about this. You will regret the day you were born." Aya threatened Sakuri.

Sakuri attempted to report Aya's bullying of her to the faculty but they did nothing. Typical of school faculty. A teacher told Sakuri to try to be nicer to Aya instead. After Sakuri told a teacher about Aya. Aya kicks Sakuri in the face in a club room after school.

"This is a warning! If you try to snitch again, you will regret the day you were born!" Aya threatened Sakuri.

Aya has done all sorts of cruel acts.

She dumped her lunch all over Sakuri's head when she was eating outside.

Sprayed water all over her using a garden hose.

Put thumbtacks in her indoor shoes.

Hid her gym clothes.

And stapled her sweater sleeves.

Sakuri was afraid of trying to befriend her classmates. She knew that they will ask her what has been happening to her if she ever gets close to them.

Sakuri looked out the window and glared.

"Why does my life have to be a living hell?" Sakuri mumbled to herself.

Something caught her attention.

"Hey, have you heard? There's a mysterious website called Hell Correspondence. You type in the name of a person you want to send to Hell and the Hell Girl will appear at your service." A short-haired girl told a girl with pigtails.

Sakuri's eye widened upon hearing about Hell Correspondence.

"Whoa, that sounds very scary." the pigtailed girl remarked.

"I don't know if it's real though. It's just a rumor. I heard that the site only works at midnight so it won't appear any other time." The short-haired girl explained.

This is interesting...Sakuri thought.

"Aya Kuroda, you're going down..." Sakuri mumbled to herself, glaring.

Later....home...

It was midnight..

Sakuri sat on the floor of her bedroom and searched for Hell Correspondence on her smartphone. A black screen with white text and a search box appears. Sakuri gasps.

I wonder if it's actually real....Sakuri thought.

She hastily typed Aya's full name into the search box and tapped "send". She sat and wait, staring at the screen.

Meanwhile...

Ai sat on the ground, folding a sheet of origami paper. The computer screen flashes, revealing a request.

"We finally got a request after so long." Hone-onna remarked. Ai turned to look at the computer screen, wearing a masked facial expression as usual.

Back at Sakuri's home, Sakuri received a text message. She gasped at the sight of it, seeing that her phone screen is glowing red.

"Your message was received by Hell Girl." The message read.

"A confirmation text?" Sakuri said, still wondering if this Hell Girl phenomenon is real.

Suddenly, Sakuri felt a gust of wind hitting her. She opened her eyes and gasps. She is no longer in her bedroom but is somehow outside, standing on a hill with a tree. Sakuri turned around and yelped upon seeing Ai standing behind her.

So this is the Hell Girl... Sakuri thought.

"I'm Ai Enma." Ai introduced herself.

She has a name? Sakuri thought with surprise.

"You summoned me," Ai said.

She shuddered at the sight of Ai, seeing that she has red eyes and an emotionless expression on her face.

Sakuri quietly gasped upon seeing an elderly man standing besides Ai, Wanyuudo.

"Wanyuudo.."Ai said, signaling to Wanyuudo.

"Yes," Wanyuudo agreed, turning into his straw doll form. Ai picks up Wanyuudo's doll and presents it to Sakuri.

Sakuri stares at the straw doll, seeing that it has a red string tied around its neck.

"Take this." Ai said nonchalantly. Sakuri looked at Ai and then back the straw. She hesitantly picks up the straw doll from Ai's hand.

"If you want retribution, pull the string. When you untie the red string, you will enter into a covenant with me. The object of your vengeance will immediately be sent to Hell." Ai explained.

This is real! Sakuri thought excitedly.

She hastily grabs the red string with her forefinger and thumb.

"But there is a trade-off..." Ai said, causing Sakuri to stop. Sakuri looks up at Ai to see what she needs to say.

"If you send someone to Hell, you have to pay the price. You will also go to Hell.." Ai explained.

Sakuri's eyes widened in disbelief and terror.

"I'm going to Hell, too?!" Sakuri shouted.

"That's only when you die though." Ai added.

Sakuri gasps and shook her head no.

"You will never experience Heaven. Your soul will wonder for eternity in pain and agony." Ai said.

Sakuri drops to her knees and began screaming in horror. When she opened her eyes, she gasps softly. She is now back in her room. The only difference is she is now holding the straw doll Ai gave her.

She looked at the straw doll, contemplating if she should send Aya to Hell.

Sakuri then hears Ai's voice again.

"The choice is yours. It is up to you to decide." Ai said.

The next day...

Sakuri walked to school, she put the straw doll in her skirt pocket and looked at it again to make sure it's there.

Unbeknownst to Ai and her assistants are watching her from afar.

"Will she reconsider or go through with the plan...?" Ren asked.

"We will just have to wait and see." Honne-Onna responded.

Sakuri walked through the hallways apprehensively. But when she rounded a corner and neared her classroom, Aya was already there. Aya stood in front of Sakuri's classroom door so that she won't go inside.

"Just where do you think you're going?" Aya asked, her hands on her hips.

Sakuri gasped in horror, freezing in fear.

"Why can't I move?!" Sakuri thought.

Aya walked towards Sakuri and grabs her by the hair. Unbeknownst to Aya, some of the girls in Sakuri's class spotted what happened.

A girl with a single braid glares and clenches her fist, Saya.

Saya had been aware of Aya bullying Sakuri for weeks. Sakuri reminded Saya of herself a lot. Saya wanted to help Sakuri but many of her classmates discouraged her. They told her it will be stupid of her to do so and that she will become Aya's next target if she stands up to her.

Saya transferred to Sakuri's school due to being severely bullied in her previous school for having a glass eye. The bullies have broken her glass eye before and she had to get it replaced twice. Saya did not want Sakuri to suffer in silence and go through the same situation she went through.

"Something needs to be done now!" She thought. She immediately runs after Aya.

"Saya! Where are you going?" One of the girls in the class shouted.

Aya took Sakuri to a secluded area near the stairs and threw her against the wall.

"You looked so eager going back into your classroom." Aya shouted.

"You think you're so sneaky, aren't you?"

"I didn't tell anyone!" Sakuri protested.

"Don't lie to me!" Aya snapped.

"I know how people like you work! You lie and snitch a lot so that you will make yourselves look better!" Aya shouted, wanting to believe what she wants to believe.

"Why would I tell anyone that you smoke?!" Sakuri protested!"

"You asked for it and brought this onto yourself! You will never understand how it feels!" Aya shouted, kicking Sakuri in the face.

Aya stopped kicking and reaches in her cardigan pocket, pulling out a utility knife. She slides the utility knife out to expose the blade. Sakuri gasps in horror at the sight of this.

Ren, using his eye, watches in horror.

"This is going too far." He thought.

"What are you trying to gain from this?! It's for fault for smoking so much!" Sakuri snapped.

"Shut up!" Aya shouted, grabbing a wad of Sakuri's hair with one hand and proceeding to use the utility knife to cut her hair.

But before Aya could cut a single strand of Sakuri's hair, a hand grabbed her hand holding the knife. It was Saya.

"Hey! Let go of me!" Aya shouted. Aya lets go of Sakuri's hair due to being stopped. Sakuri crawls away a few feet and stopped to watch.

Ren's eye watched in shock.

Aya suddenly jerks her hand holding the knife, cutting part of Saya's face. The knife also sliced part of her eyelids (the eye where her glass eye is). Droplets of Saya's blood spattered on the floor and the wall of the staircase.

Saya screams in pain, falls onto her knees, and then sideways, clenching her bloodied face. Sakuri gasps in horror, putting a hand over her mouth. Aya's eyes widened in shock, dropping the utility knife that is now covered in blood. She is not shocked because she just hurt someone, she is shocked because she is scared of how will the authority figures react.

The sound of Saya's scream attracted students and teachers. The gym teacher and saw the scene. He gasps in horror.

Sakuri, overwhelmed with fear and shock began wobbling. She faints and falls over.

Later...the hospital

Sakuri slowly opens her eyes and sees the hospital room ceiling in front of her. She opens her eyes fully and gasps softly. She looks around the room and spotted her mother sitting on a chair.

Mrs. Kunikai gasps, relieved to find her daughter awakened.

"Sakurai! You're awake!" Mrs. Kunikai said, hugging Sakuri.

"Mom, what happened....what happened while I was unconscious?" Sakuri asked.

"That awful girl who injured your classmate with a knife...she's with the police. I heard what she's been doing to you! What a vile, vile person!"

Mrs. Kunikai hugs Sakuri again, bursting into tears.

"How? How?! How can you not tell me that you've been suffering at school?"

"I was scared that you won't believe me or tell me that it's my fault. And I was scared that she will do worse things because she threatened me." Sakuri explained.

Sakuri told her mother all of the horrible things Aya did to her.

"That evil girl! And even worse the teachers turned a blind eye and think it's your fault?!" Mrs. Kunikai said bitterly.

Sakuri is both relieved and infuriated. Even though Aya finally got her comeuppance, the problem is the school only started to take Aya's bullying seriously when Aya injured someone with a knife. They let the problem get worse.

If a faculty member actually took Sakuri's side, none of this would have happened. Sakuri then remembered Saya, the girl who tried to save her from Aya.

"Mom, what happened to the girl who tried to save me?"  Sakuri asked her mother.

"Oh her...she's okay. She's in the room next door. But she had to get stitches on her face." Mrs. Kunikai replied.

Sakuri gasps in horror after hearing it. What Aya did was unforgivable and inexcusable. Sakuri remembered the straw doll Ai gave her. She originally wanted to use the doll in case Aya does anything horrible to her.

But now that Aya is facing legal consequences due to committing a crime, Sakuri might not need the straw doll.

Ren, who has been watching Sakuri, is impressed.

"It looks like she's reconsidering after all," Ren said, reporting to the others.

"That bully had it coming. She's gotten her comeuppance." Honne-Onna said.

Ai sat on a bench, folding a sheet of origami into a crane.

Sakuri sighed and looked out the window. Aya's reign of terror is finally over and Sakuri is now free.
