Part 3

Jun and Biyu stopped playing the rhythm game to take a break.

"I've been hearing my phone chiming. I think Hyun-ae and Jong-suk said something." Biyu said, picking up her phone, unlocking it, and going to her text messages app. She gasps when she spotted Hyun-ae's first new text.

"Hey, Jun. A strange, shirtless guy appeared and is talking with one of the guests at Hyun-ae's inn." Biyu reported.

"A shirtless guy? Why is he going around like that? It's 9 degrees Celsius." Jun remarked in disgust.

Jun picked up his phone to text in the group chat.

(Texting)

Jun: "Is that weirdo trying to show off how buff he is? Assuming he is buff."

Hyun-ae: "It looks like it. He happens to be buff and he hid his shirt in his pants. I saw him take it out. What a disgusting weirdo."

Jong-suk: "Oh God!"

Biyu: "Ugh, sounds like someone who forces girls to see him shirtless or even naked."

Seohyun walks at Hyun-ae's open bedroom door and knows on the frame to signal she is here.

"Oh, it's you, Seohyun. There's something you need to know." Hyun-ae said. She beckoned Seohyun to walk towards her and points at her window. When Seohyun looks outside the window, she widened her eyes.

"Why isn't that guy wearing a shirt? It's super cold out." Seohyun asked.

"Beats me. He's probably trying to show off." Hyun-ae said.

"Ew," Seohyun remarked, scrunching up her face.

"Is that one of the guests staying over? Bella Swan?" Seohyun asked, pointing to Bella.

"Oh, that's her name. I forgot it and all of the others. They were too complicated to remember." Hyun-ae said.

"Bella Swan..so that's her name," Hyun-ae said.

As Hyun-ae and Seohyun secretly watch from Hyun-ae's upstairs bedroom window, they see Edward open one of the inn gates and walk outside.

"Oh no, it's her boyfriend," Seohyun said upon seeing Edward.

"Boyfriend?" Hyun-ae said in surprise.

"How did you know that Seohyun?"

"Mom told me," Seohyun replied.

Hyun-ae nodded her head in understanding and continued watching the drama taking place outside.

Edward was confused about why Bella hasn't come inside and decided to go outside to find her.

"Bella, where were you?" Edward asked Bella, angrily confronting her.

Bella did not answer and just glanced at Jacob. Edward turned to look at who Bella was talking to and noticed Jacob.

Jacob arrogantly stared back at Edward.

"What are you doing here? How did you find us?" Edward angrily asked.

"Ask Bella," Jacob replied.

"He overheard our conversation and followed us into the plane. He snuck inside." Bella explained.

"Why exactly are you here for?" Edward asked.

"I just want to see Bella," Jacob answered, bouncing on his heels as he went.

(In Hyun-ae's bedroom)

"Ugh, they're so loud. I don't know what they are saying but I can tell they're arguing." Hyun-ae remarked.

She took out her phone and reported to her friends in their group chat.

(Texting)

Hyun-ae: "The girl's boyfriend came outside. It seems the shirtless guy has unrequited feelings for the girl."

Jong-suk: "Oh boy..."

Biyu: "The shirtless guy probably thinks the girl will change her mind and run into his arms just because he is shirtless. Does he seriously think that's how you get a girl to like you? It doesn't matter if he has sculpted abs and biceps."

Jun: "He reminds me of this stupid jerkass who bullied me in the first year of junior high."

Hyun-ae: "Hey Biyu, there is something that's been preoccupying my mind. Remember when you told us about that strange couple who asked for directions?"

Biyu: "Yeah"

Hyun-ae: "What did they look like again, if you can remember?"

Biyu: "The man had brown, somewhat poofy hair in a pompadour, deathly pale skin...The girl has long brown hair, a heart-shaped face, looks like she has blood inside her, looks stony-faced all the time..."

Hyun-ae: "Does the guy have unnatural colored eyes? Amber eyes?"

(Biyu's place)

Biyu hesitated upon realizing who is also staying over at Hyun-ae's inn other than the strange family who asked her for directions.

"Oh...my...God..." Biyu said.

"What happened?" Jun asked in concern.

"They're there! That strange couple who asked me for directions! They're staying at Hyun-ae's inn. So that means they're with that strange family she ran into earlier!" Biyu said, figuring everything out.

Jun widened his eyes in shock.

(Texting)

Biyu: "Omo yes! His eyes are amber! That strange couple I ran into earlier...Are they with the strange family you ran into earlier?"

Hyun-ae: "I knew it! I had a feeling in my gut that they were the strange couple you ran into earlier."

Jong-suk: "This is a horrible turn of events."

Jun: "We better be careful when going out in the neighborhood."

Hyun-ae: "Yeah, my mom told me that they're going to stay at our inn for a while. Probably weeks."

Biyu: "It's a good thing today is Saturday. I think I should come over."

Jong-suk: "Coming over, too."

Jun: "Same."

Hyun-ae: "Okay, I'll let you all know where to enter so that those three weirdos won't see you if they are still outside. There's a secret entrance only my family knows."

Biyu puts her phone into her pocket. Jun hastily puts his dark red jacket on, wanting to go to Hyun-ae's inn as well. Biyu took her coat and handbag and swiftly puts them on.

"We better go the long way so that the weirdos won't see us if they are still outside," Jun said, pulling up his hood.

Biyu nodded her head in agreement, putting on her scarf and covering her mouth and nose with it.

Jun and Biyu walked together, it was already nightfall and it is very cold.

"From what I remember, the girl looked to be 17 but the guy looks older than she does. I don't know if they are the same age." Biyu remarked.

"And the girl looked annoyed with me when I tried translating what they said. It was my first time talking to tourists who are asking for directions." Biyu pointed out.

"If she hates it here why did she travel here in the first place?" Jun asked.

"I know right? Why travel to a country you hate?" Biyu said.

Biyu looked at the group chat to see if Hyun-ae has any updates. To her surprise and delight, Hyun-ae has a new message.

Hyun-ae: "The couple went back inside and the shirtless weirdo left. But they might be outside near the gate. Enter through the back and climb over the fence, there are crates for you to climb on."

Meanwhile (Before Edward and Bella went back inside and Jacob left),

"Go away, we don't want to see you here again," Edward told Jacob.

"Suit yourself," Jacob said, turning around and walking away.

Bella sadly watched as Jacob leaves.

"Bella, let's go," Edward said aggressively, grabbing her arm and pulling her inside.

Unbeknownst to Edward and Bella, Jacob did not leave and just rounded a corner and hid there. He looked out to see if Edward and Bella are gone.

Inside the inn gates, Edward and Bella sat in the garden and looked at the stars. Bella looked at the scenery of the garden in disgust.

"This garden isn't pretty. I wish there is a meadow just like the one we always go to." Bella said.

"We'll probably find one tomorrow," Edward said.

Meanwhile, Jun and Biyu arrived at the Jang family inn. They read Hyun-ae's instructions and found the secret entrance she informed them about. They stacked the empty crates on top of each other so that they can climb on top and over the high fence. Biyu climbed over the fence first and sat on top to see how high is the drop.

"How high is the drop?" Jun asked.

"It's about 7 feet. And don't worry, there's a pile of leaves that will break our falls," Biyu replied.

"Oh good, leaves on the other side. I'll tell Jong-suk ahead of time. He hasn't arrived yet," Jun remarked, relieved that landing on the other side of the fence will be safe.

Jun and Biyu are unaware that someone is watching them climb inside.

Jacob, who is trying to find a way to secretly enter the Jang family inn, has been walking around the property to find an entrance to sneak inside.

He spotted two teens, Jun and Biyu respectively, sneaking inside which attracted his attention.

"What are those two doing?" Jacob said.

"At least I found a way to get inside." He said arrogantly. Once Jun jumped off the fence into the property, Jacob ran towards the secret entrance. He stopped and leaned his back against the fence, knowing that Jun and Biyu are still near the other side.

Jun looked back at the area he and Biyu entered, sensing a presence. He heard footsteps on the other side of the fence and they stopped.

"Jun, did you hear something?" Biyu quietly asked, noticing Jun is looking back with apprehension.

"Yeah, I think I heard footsteps. Must be my imagination." Jun quietly replied.

"Let's head inside," Jun whispered.

Biyu and Jun looked at their phones to read more of Hyun-ae's instructions. They found the window which is part of Hyun-ae's home space and entered it.

Hyun-ae and Seohyun were waiting in the room where the window Jun and Biyu entered through is:

 Her family's dining room.

"Good, you're here! Right now, the family is in their room but the couple is outside in the garden." Hyun-ae said, looking in the direction of the guest bedrooms.

Hyun-ae, Biyu, and Jun sneak into Hyun-ae's living room and see Edward and Bella outside in the garden, staring at each other.

Biyu and Jun raised their eyebrows upon seeing Edward and Bella stare at each other.

"Are they doing a staring contest?" Seohyun whispered.

"I don't know. It looks like it and at the same time it doesn't." Hyun-ae said, raising an eyebrow.

Meanwhile, Edward and Bella, who've been staring at each other for who knows how long stopped. Edward sensed a presence, he recognized a human's scent. It was Biyu's scent. Even though Edward just met Biyu and only interacted with her for a few minutes, he smelled her blood while she was translating his words.

To Edward, Biyu's blood smelled sweet and mouthwatering just like Bella's. While Biyu was translating and Bella was watching, Edward flinched and reacted as if Biyu smelled nauseating to him (the same reaction he made when he first saw Bella in biology class back in Forks, Washington.)

Edward was not only attracted to Biyu because he could not read her mind due to the language barrier, her blood happened to smell delicious to him. Not to mention, to Edward, Biyu looked to be someone easy to control and dominate.

Edward knew that Bella would get angry with him if she found out that he is attracted to another girl.

"Edward, is something wrong?" Bella asked.

"We should head inside. I think he is near." Edward replied, referring to Jacob and partially lying as well. He realized Biyu is near and came up with an excuse to go inside to see her.

Meanwhile, Jacob jumped over the fence of the Jang family inn since he did not need the crates to climb over due to being a werewolf. He landed on the property and looked around trying to find a place to enter without anyone seeing him. He walked with his body bent downwards and looked around. Every time he senses a presence, he finds a place to hide. Mr. and Mrs. Jang walked out in the garden to tend to the home-grown vegetables.

"Did you see that couple sitting outside earlier?" Mrs. Jang asked her husband.

"Yeah, weren't they staring at each other for a long time?" Mr. Jang asked.

"I don't know if they were just staring at each other longingly in a romantic way or they are doing a staring contest. So weird." Mrs. Jang admitted.

Mr. Jang shrugged his shoulders and continued tending to the home-grown tomatoes.

Biyu, Jun, and Hyun-ae are in the living room, drinking matcha tea that Hyun-ae prepared. Seohyun slowly sips her mug of hot cocoa.

"I forgot to mention I know the name of that girl you ran into earlier," Hyun-ae told Biyu.

"Her name is Bella Swan." 

"So that's her name," Biyu remarked.

"Her boyfriend is named Edward," Seohyun added.

"Edward and Bella, that's who I ran into earlier," Biyu remarked.

"I heard some interesting news from my mom." Hyun-ae pointed out.

She tells Biyu and Jun about Bella complaining about the tteok-bokki and demanding American food which Mrs. Jang informed her daughters about.

"Ugh, she seems entitled," Jun remarked, shaking his head in disapproval.

"Why did she travel here in the first place if she hates Korea?" Biyu said.

Edward and Bella have entered the room and are on their way to their guest room.

"Go in first and sleep. I'll come back later," Edward ordered Bella.

Bella went to the guest room without a second thought.

Edward walked towards the direction of the home space which is off-limits to guests. He did not notice the sign that states "Homeowner's area. Do not enter if you are a guest" in both Korean and English.

He stopped at the entryway leading to the home space and stared in the distance. He could see in the living room which is not too far from where he is standing. He spotted Biyu, Jun, Hyun-ae, and Seohyun discussing among themselves. He widened his eyes upon seeing Biyu, recognizing her.

She's here...what a coincidence. Edward thought.

Her blood.....it smells just like Bella's...

Meanwhile, Biyu, Jun, Hyun-ae, and Seohyun are still discussing Bella and the Cullens.

"I forgot to mention this earlier as well. When I was translating Edward's words so that I can come up with an answer he and Bella can comprehend, I saw in the corner of my eye that it looked like he was looking at me as if I was a cockroach." Biyu admitted.

"Oh man, what a jerkass," Jun remarked.

Hyun-ae puts a hand on her face and shakes her head in disgust and disapproval.

"I don't think he saw that I noticed. I can't believe the first foreigners who asked me for directions were so rude and impolite." Biyu said.

"It's no wonder Bella reacted negatively to tteok-bokki," Hyun-ae said.

Biyu looked at her phone to see how Jong-suk is doing. She noticed Jong-suk wrote that he is running late.

Jong-suk: "I'll be running late. Got some business to take care of at home. I'll be there as soon as possible."

"Oh, Jong-suk will come later," Jun remarked. 

"He should take his time," Hyun-ae said.
