Part 22

"Hey! I see a large group of people wearing black cloaks. They happen to be all Western foreigners." Shin told Park through the radio.

"We better send soldiers over there immediately!" Park said.

"We have a punishment in mind..." Aro said.

"We're going to let you get imprisoned here. And then after a while, we will collect you and the rest of your coven and take you all back to Volterra for your punishments." Aro said.

Alice, Jasper, and Bella all gasp in horror.

"NO! NO! You can't do this to us! I didn't do anything wrong!" Bella shouted.

"You are an accomplice," Jane told Bella.

Aro ordered other members of the Volturi to get Carlisle, Esme, Emmett, and Rosalie and bring them back to where they are.

"Turn yourself in or you will be a pile of glitter and dust before you even realize it," Aro threatened Edward.

"Bella and the rest of your coven will be in Volterra while you're here and then you will reunite with them. You will wish you were never born," Aro said smugly.

Carlisle, Esme, Emmett, and Rosalie arrived, saddened and devastated about their fates. The Volturi left with Bella and the other Cullens, leaving Edward all alone.

Edward could not believe what happened. He did not realize he will face repercussions for his actions. He thought he could get away with it.

The police finally arrive and spotted Edward in front of the door of the Songs' residence.

"It's the fugitive, Edward Cullen!" Shin said.

"He was trying to break into someone's house again!" Shin told the other officers.

Park arrived in another police cruiser and pointed a gun at Edward.

(In English) "Put your hands in the air! You're under arrest!" Park shouted.

Edward did not react and just wore a masked facial expression.

The Songs exited their home after hearing police sirens and seeing the red and blue lights from inside.

Jun spotted Edward standing idly and casually as if he doesn't care what was happening to him.

"Did he admit defeat?" Jun asked.

An officer ran up to Edward and cuffed his hands together. He escorts Edward towards a police cruiser and closes the door.

"We finally caught the fugitive after a few months," Park told Mr. and Mrs. Song

"He will be gone for a long time. You don't have to worry about him coming back to torture you anymore." Park assured the Songs.

As Park spoke with Mr. and Mrs. Song.

Jun turned to look at Edward who is sitting in the police car, still wearing a masked facial expression.

Edward then abruptly turned his head to face Jun. His expression shifted from masked to bitter with contempt. Edward shot Jun the nastiest scowl ever. Jun gasps in horror and lightly jumped, startled by Edward scowling at him.

Jun couldn't help but glare back and with a warranted reason.

You've been torturing me for far too long. You harassed Biyu and tried to get rid of me so that you can have her all to yourself. You broke into her house. You stalked us. And you have the nerve to try to break into my home. I hope we never meet again. Ever. I hope that you rot in prison. Know your place, demon. Jun thought.

Jun lifted up his right hand and extended his middle finger at Edward.

Edward's jaw dropped and his eyes nearly rolled out of his eye sockets.

The police cruiser then drove away.

Some time later...

Fugitive Edward Cullen finally captured

Civilian woman: "He's a creepy pervert! The type to hide in your closet when you change clothes!"

Civilian woman 2: "That sex-crazed jackass has no respect for women whatsoever."

Civilian woman 3: "Men like him are the reason women are scared to walk alone at night."

Civilian woman 4: "He should stay in prison for a long time. We shouldn't let creepers like him walk free."

Courtroom

Biyu hesitantly walked out of her seat to give her testimony. She knew she had to sit near Edward...

When Biyu sat on the courtroom chair across from Edward, Edward did not flinch. He wore a masked expression and just stared into space. Biyu grimaced at the sight of Edward and then gave him the most venomous glare she can make. Edward still did not react nor flinch. He remained still as a statue.

"Yes, this is the man who broke into my house and crept into my room while I was sleeping. He did it twice and tried to assault my boyfriend. In the hospital, he tried to attack us again." Biyu testified.

Edward did not make a comment. He remained idle.

The audacity and lack of shame of this arrogant swine...Biyu thought bitterly.

If eyes are windows to the soul. He clearly has no remorse for everything he did to me. He thinks he's the victim here. He thinks he did nothing wrong. I can see it in his eyes. Biyu thought.

When the judge told Biyu she can return to her seat, Biyu walked hurriedly to her family, not wanting to be near Edward for another second.

It was Jun's turn to testify.

When Jun sat across from Edward, he still remained idle. Jun shuddered quietly at the sight of Edward before gathering enough courage to give his testimony.

"He threw me across the room and I ended up bleeding internally. He tried to attack me at the hospital and prevent my girlfriend from seeing me because he has unrequited feelings for her. He saw me as an obstacle and competition and tried to get rid of me so that he can have her to himself. He tried to break into my house apparently to exact revenge and after that, he was caught." Jun testified.

Aro walks up to Edward who is restrained. He places a hand on Edward who started to tremble in pain. Quick as a wink, Edward has become multiple pieces of himself.

Bella, who was also restrained along with the rest of the Cullens all watched in horror.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" Bella screamed in devastation.

Jane turned to Bella and uses her pain illusion to shut her up.

"This will quick and easy." Jane said, smiling maliciously.

Bella gave Jane a confused look. Quick as a wink, a large thick line formed on Bella's neck, and her head flies off. 

Biyu, Jun, Hyun-ae, Jong-suk, Jian, Weimin, Kun, Seohyun, and Hye-mi sat in the newly renovated and rebuilt Cafe Mignon, chatting among themselves.

"When I heard that that shirtless weirdo got euthanized, I never felt so relieved. I finally had closure." Hyun-ae remarked.

"I got closure, too," Jong-suk added, taking his matcha latte and sipping it.

"Edward went missing after getting imprisoned but it doesn't look like he escaped. It looks like he's been kidnapped. There were scratch marks all over his prison cell." Biyu said.

"He's most likely gone forever. Never to be seen or heard from again. We can all finally enjoy life peacefully." Jun said.

"This cake is really yummy," Seohyun remarked, eating a slice of mille crepe.

Taehyun walked up to the group.

"How is everyone?" Taehyun asked.

"We're all doing good," Jong-suk replied.

Everyone at the table chuckles and smiles.

Jong-suk winks romantically at Taehyun who winks back.

"Don't hesitate to come back to the counter and order more..." Taehyun said, walking back to the counter.

Taehyun turned to Jong-suk and mouthed:

"Meet me at the beach tomorrow."

Jong-suk nodded his head in agreement.

At the beach

Jong-suk walked around, seeing that there aren't very many people around.

"Okay, that's a relief," Jong-suk mumbled to himself.

He felt a familiar hand tap his shoulder. It was Taehyun.

Jong-suk and Taehyun walked along the shoreline, conversing as they went. Jong-suk reached over to hold Taehyun's hand. Once he lightly grabbed Taehyun's fingers, Taehyun slowly clasps Jong-suk's hand.

It feels like yesterday... Jong-suk thought dreamily.

1 year later...

Taehyun visited Jong-suk in the hospital every chance he got. He left behind get-well-soon gifts such as Jong-suk's favorite matcha snacks on the hospital nightstand.

Taehyun sat on a chair next to Jong-suk's bed.

"I've been wanting to meet you again for a very long time." Taehyun told Jong-suk.

Jong-suk looked over at Taehyun and even lifted up his head.

Taehyun scratched the back of his neck nervously and continued his confession.

"The day you came into Cafe Mignon, I was so excited and thrilled. I was too nervous and shy to show I recognized you which is why it looked like I didn't remember you. I can see that you've changed a lot. The last time I saw you, you were up to my nose. How did you get so tall? And you can really pull off a bowl cut."

"I was nervous to talk to you, too. I was scared that you didn't remember me." Jong-suk replied.

"I wanted to get to know you more and catch up because I have so much to tell you but then that...that demon wolf came by...and ruined everything." Taehyun continued.

"It seems because of that ordeal, we were able to reconnect quicker," Jong-suk said.

"Obviously that wolf nightmare shouldn't have happened. But fortunately, that wolf is apprehended and I heard he's gonna get euthanized. He's not human, to begin with, and he killed people as a wolf." Taehyun remarked.

"He thought that I was dating my friend, Hyun-ae, and was jealous of me because of it. He gave me first-degree burns on my neck because he grabbed me by the throat. I couldn't turn my neck because it would hurt. He stalked us, he spied on Hyun-ae in the shower, and he masturbated on top of her house and actually ejaculated all over the roof." Jong-suk explained.

Taehyun groaned in disgust.

"Yeah, the nerve of this sex-crazed wolfman," Jong-suk remarked.

"I'm so glad to have you as a friend. You always listen, you are not judgmental, and you're so understanding. There's something I haven't told anyone else besides my aunt, uncle, and cousin because I know most people won't understand me and even give me dirty looks..." Taehyun began.

Taehyun took a deep breath and sighed. Jong-suk got up slightly until his back is no longer touching the bed. He winced and groaned in pain, forgetting about his injured leg. He slowly laid back down, still looking at Taehyun

"I've...been disowned..." Taehyun confessed, his voice breaking.

Jong-suk gasps in horror.

"I confessed to my parents that I was gay and they did not take it well at all. They were super offended. They looked at me as if I was a bug. My dad ran up to me and smacked me across the face. His fingernails were long so he ended up scratching my face as well. I still have the scar." Taehyun said.

He lifted up his bangs, revealing two scratch marks his father inflicted on him.

"My parents were enraged and told me how did I turn out like this and what made me. I told them I didn't choose to and they didn't believe me. They thought that I was corrupted by video games, dramas, and other media. They...also blamed you..." Taehyun explained, tears streaming down his eyes and dripping onto his lap.

Jong-suk gasps.

Taehyun started sobbing quietly with his head lowered. Jong-suk reached over and clutched Taehyun's knee, comforting him.

"It's not your fault," Jong-suk assured.

"They're not wrong about me being gay though," Jong-suk said.

"What?" Taehyun said with surprise.

"I've been wanting to meet you and confess to you about it because I trust you, too. I was scared that my family will react just like your parents did. Surprisingly, they did not. They accepted me for me." Jong-suk said.

"But after hearing how yours did not accept you, it...it really....demoralized me. I can't believe they did you dirty like that. How...how dare they!" Jong-suk said, his voice getting aggressive.

"I...thought that they liked me..." Jong-suk said with disgust and indignation.

Jong-suk turned to stare up at the ceiling, trying to register everything. All this time, he thought that Taehyun's parents liked him. He remembered Taehyun's mother always being hospitable toward him.

"I've been wanting to meet you and confess to you about it because I trust you, too. My family happened to be accepting of it and I was scared that they will react negatively but surprisingly, they didn't. Knowing that your family kicked you out...I was surprised but also not surprised. People like us are still seen as scum." Jong-suk said.

"We didn't choose to be like this so why should we be punished?" Taehyun said, tearfully.

Jong-suk reached over to touch Taehyun's knee again, comforting him.

"Don't let anyone get in the way of your happiness," Jong-suk said.

Taehyun blinked rapidly and stared blankly.

 He abruptly gets up from his chair and gently threw himself onto Jong-suk. Jong-suk gasps with surprise as Taehyun wraps his arms around him. Taehyun continued to cry softly.

Jong-suk stared at the ceiling with surprise and shock, tears streamed down his eyes. Finally registering why Taehyun hugged him, Jong-suk wrapped an arm around Taehyun and lifted up his head so that his head can rest on Taehyun's shoulder. A smile formed on Taehyun's face after he felt Jong-suk's chin touch his shoulder.
