Part 20

Song Residence

Jun stood behind the living room couch, staring at the TV with his eyes wide and mouth agape. He had been trying to call Biyu after hearing about Jacob rampaging in his wolf form. Right when he tapped "Call", Kun alerted him and pointed to the TV. Kun turned on the TV, planning to watch a horror film that was recently released on streaming services. The news happened to be on currently right when the TV flicked on.

Kun sat on the living room couch, staring at the TV in awe. The Song's family cat, Azuki crawls by and hops onto the couch, sitting next to Kun.

Biyu finally answered Jun.

Biyu: "Hello? Jun?"

Jun: "Biyu! Yes! You're all right! Where are you? I saw the news! I was so worried when you didn't pick up."

Biyu: "I'm in a chopper. I'm fine. I'm not hurt. But I've seen way too much today"

Jun: "Thank God. And what happened?"

Biyu: "Weimin and I ran out to find Jian. We...saw....so many bodies. Bodies...everywhere...Jian.. turned out to be fine. He was safe in an internet cafe and we tried to head back home. Fortunately, we ran into some soldiers and they rescued us. We never saw the wolf."

Jun: "I'm so glad that you, Weimin, and Jian are all right."

Biyu: "We're coming home soon."

Jun: "We better check up on Hyun-ae and Jong-suk as well."

Jang Residence

Mr. and Mrs. Jang and Seohyun stared at the TV in the restaurant area of their inn. The guests who happened to be watching and eating dinner as well stared at the TV with their jaws agape.

Hyun-ae, who is resting in her bedroom, suddenly awakens. Getting up in a sitting position. She is covered in sweat. She had a nightmare that Jacob in his wolf form kidnapped her and tried to rape her. She thought it was real until she woke up in her bed.

"It was...just a dream...?" Hyun-ae mumbled to herself. She closed her eyes, sighed in relief, and slowly lay down. Before she can fall back asleep again, she stopped upon hearing commotion from downstairs.

"That giant wolf is finally caught!"

"It's actually one of the fugitives in a wolf form."

"I didn't know monsters exist."

"It feels like a dream."

"Giant wolf?" Hyun-ae mumbled to herself in confusion.

Before the rampage...

Alice gasps in horror and stopped dead in her tracks. 

Snippets of Jacob in his wolf form mauling and maiming locals in the urban area flashed in her head.

A vision of Jacob trying to murder Jong-suk appeared.

Lastly, a vision of Jacob naked and lying on the ground with a tranquilizer dart stabbed into one of his buttocks appears.

After the vision ceased, Alice raised an eyebrow upon seeing Jong-suk in the vision.

"Why in the hell is that mutt so fixated on that boy?" Alice mumbled, remembering seeing Jong-suk when she and her family stayed at the Jang inn.

"I have to tell the others!" Alice said.

Later at the time (before Jacob's rampage)...

Bella gasps in horror and shook her head in denial.

Alice slowly nodded her head with a forlorn expression. The other Cullens looked at each other and murmured. All except for Edward who is standing a few feet away from everyone, pondering and staring into space.

"Jacob's is gonna get tranquilized and arrested?" Bella shouted.

"It's the truth. It's what's going to happen." Alice said, lowering her head.

"We have to do something before it happens! We need to save Jacob!" Bella shouted urgently.

"Why should be save that mutt? He's a werewolf. Whatever terrible thing that's going to happen to him, he brought it onto himself," Jasper said, disagreeing with Bella.

Rosalie rolled her eyes and angrily looks away from Bella.

"So much for being a protector of humans," Jasper remarked.

"We will have to leave South Korea," Carlisle suggested.

"No! No! We can't leave yet! Not until we save Jacob!" Bella shouted at Carlisle.

"Bella, what Jacob does is none of our business. It's his own business." Alice told Bella, trying to reason with her.

"Jacob is my friend! I can't let bad things happen to him!" Bella said.

Alice and the other Cullens, minus Edward, all looked at each other, feeling conflicted.

"What should we do?" Esme quietly asked Carlisle.

Rosalie exhaled through her nose angrily and crosses her arms, glaring at Bella.

Edward rejoins the others, not paying attention to what the other Cullens and Bella were discussing. He is more fixated on Biyu and Jun.

I must teach those two wretched children a lesson. It will be a lesson for her for resisting and defying me and him for getting in my way. Edward thought.

When Edward noticed the conflicted expressions on everyone's faces, it attracted his attention.

"Am I missing something important?" Edward asked, getting interested.

"I just had a vision. Jacob will run around the city and murder almost everyone he lays eyes on," Alice explained.

"And it looks like he will be in the cities where we ran into those teen locals," Alice said.

Edward stood idly for a moment.

He will be going around the cities where those two wretched children live...Edward thought, feeling excited and eager.

"Jacob...is...my friend...Why...isn't...anyone listening to me...? I can't do this alone because he might kill me. We have to do something before he gets caught by the police," Bella mumbled.

Edward widened his eyes after hearing Bella mumble.

Does Bella want to save Jacob? Edward thought, a malicious smile spreading across his face.

Yes, this will be my chance to teach those two wretched children a lesson for messing with me. Edward thought.

"I agree with Bella on this. I think we should go rescue Jacob for Bella's sake. He's her friend after all." Edward announced.

Bella turned to Edward with surprise and delight. She knew that Edward would agree with her.

The other Cullens murmured amongst each other. Carlisle, Esme, and Alice lowered their heads.

"It seems we have no other choice. If the Volturi find out about this, they might think we are responsible, too because we had contact with Jacob," Carlisle said.

"We should go through with Bella's plan. Not only because Edward agrees but also because it's what's for the best." Carlisle said.

"Look like we are going to save your friend after all," Alice told Bella.

Bella was delighted that the other Cullens finally agree to rescue Jacob with her. But what's bothering her is the fact that Edward agrees with her plan despite having beef with Jacob.

When the other Cullens went away. Bella confronts Edward, smiling.

"I knew you would agree with me," Bella said, hugging Edward.

I initially lied to her that I will find a meadow for us so that I can get back at those two rotten children. But it seems this is going to be a better plan. While we go and rescue Jacob. It will be my chance to get those two brats. Edward thought.

If I can't have that bitch then no one can, Edward thought.

Before the rampage and the next day

The Cullens arrived near the districts that they presume Jacob will appear in.

"We should split up and search for him," Carlisle said.

"But first, we need to know Alice's visions". Carlisle turned to Alice who is concentrating on a premonition.

After having a vision, Alice gasps, finally gaining the knowledge she needed.

"He's going to be northeast of here. We are actually close to where he is. But he's going to go from this city to the neighboring so some of us better go to that neighboring city." Alice explained.

"We better hurry before he sheds some blood. It will be harder for some of us to act rationally." Carlisle said, eyeing Jasper, remembering what he almsot did to Bella on her 18th birthday.

The Cullens were split into groups of two. Edward and Bella. Rosalie and Emmett. Alice and Jasper. Carlisle and Esme.

They dispersed and went their merry way.

Edward carried Bella on his back and sped away.

"Don't worry, Jacob. I'm going to save you." Bella mumbled to herself.

Edward, hearing Bella's mumble, turned to her briefly before looking forward.

I'm sorry, Bella. You have to understand. I can't help it. It's not my fault that I found another girl. To be honest, she was more interesting than you because she seems more passive, submissive, weak, and easy to control. You were also like her but you've proved too much because you defied me. But when I realized she is actually not only defiant but also stubborn as a mule. She wouldn't give me a chance to let me show her what was good for her. Like you, she doesn't know what's good for herself. She needs to be fixed. She chose that...that thing..over me! How dare she! I can't believe she did that to me. I will never understand why she was afraid of me. She shouldn't be afraid of me when I entered her bedroom like that.

Edward thought.

Edward remembered the purikura photo he stole from Biyu that he lost at the hospital.

I wish that I still had that! Edward thought bitterly.

Edward placed his attention on what was ahead of him. He had an idea...a diabolical idea.

After Bella and I split up to find Jacob. I will go to that stupid boy's house and...erase him...And then she will be next. I know the smell of his blood so I will know where he lives...

Back to the present

Biyu and Weimin looked from the helicopter, seeing some buildings on fire and firetrucks trying to extinguish them. They can still see the pools of blood from above. Bucketfuls of blood have been spilled all over the district.

They grimaced and immediately went back, not wanting to see.

Weimin immediately felt nauseous, gagging and covering his mouth. Biyu closed her eyes shut and exhales sharply. She couldn't bear to see any more blood.

"Don't worry, we're almost to your house. Nothing more to see here," One of the soldiers told the siblings, trying to comfort them.

Weimin picked up his phone and called Mrs. Huang.

Weimin: "Mom?"

Mrs. Huang: "Weimin! Thank God, you are okay. Is Biyu with you?"

Weimin: "Yes, mom. She's right here next to me and we are in a helicopter. Some soldiers saved us and they are on their way to our house. And is Jian home?"

Mrs. Huang: "Yes, he's home. He was escorted home by soldiers."

Weimin: "Thank God! Yes!"

Mrs. Huang: "We'll wait for you when you and Biyu come home."

Weimin hangs up and turns to Biyu. Biyu overhead the entire conversation. She was relieved that Jian is home.

"This winter vacation keeps getting better and better," Biyu sarcastically remarked.

Ever since the Cullens and Jacob appeared in their town, things have changed forever.

News

News anchor: "Paramedics, police, and military are still going on after the wolf massacre. We strongly urge residents to stay in their homes for the time being. Schools will be closed until this dire situation gets under control."

What happened to the Cullens while the massacre happened.

"No! We are too late..." Carlisle said, seeing blood, corpses, and debris everywhere.

"We better get out of here fast or else the locals will find out what we are..." Esme suggested.

Emmett restrains Jasper who is trying to drink the still fresh blood off the pavement.

"Jazz, stop! There are soldiers with guns nearby and they will see." Alice told Jasper, trying to reason with him and calm him down.

Alice then turned from Jasper and shook her head in disgust at the destruction Jacob caused.

"That mutt is so unpredictable. He's like a time-ticking bomb without a timer. You don't know when he will detonate and he has such explosive mood swings, too." Alice remarked, disapprovingly.

"Stop calling him that! He was just upset and having a bad day. He can't help it, he's a werewolf." Bella said.

"He's just having a bad day? He's just having a bad day?! Please tell me that you are joking, Isabella Swan." Alice snapped.

"I'm not, I'm just being real," Bella said defensively.

"Why are you justifying his actions?" Rosalie asked.

"I'm not justifying his actions, I'm explaining and being real," Bella replied.

"Well, there's a difference between justification and explanations. It's an explanation but it's not an excuse. Hell, it's probably not an explanation for what he did at all." Rosalie snapped.

"You don't know him!" Bella whined.

Edward stood nearby and didn't pay attention.

He scanned his surroundings. He can smell Jun's blood and it is still very far away.

"We should reunite at a different location. We haven't found him yet and we should keep moving. No time to stop." Carlisle said.

This is my chance to find those two little brats. I don't care about finding Jacob. That's Bella's business and not mine. Edward thought.

"Edward, if you find Jacob, please tell me right away!" Bella told Edward.

"Don't worry, Bella. I will." Edward lied.

The Cullens went their separate ways to search for Jacob.

As Edward went away, he followed Jun's blood scent, trying to go as far away from Jacob's blood scent as possible.

I can't wait until I wrap my hands around his neck, tear his spine out of his body, and rip out his brain from his nostrils. Edward thought excitedly.

Those two are going to Hell very soon...Edward thought, smiling maliciously and smugly.
