Green-Eyed Monsters vs. Twilight pt. 15

Part 15

It is almost winter vacation...

Biyu exits her home after waving goodbye to her family.

She rounded a corner and spotted Jun waiting for her.

They walked the rest of the way to school, encountering Jong-suk and Hyun-ae who joined along the way.

After school, the four friends headed to the coffee shop closest to their school.

"I've been craving these for ages," Jong-suk said, grabbing a cream puff and gobbling it up.

Hyun-ae looked around the cafe apprehensively. When she thought she spotted Jacob staring into her soul in the corner of her eye, she gasped.

"Hyun-ae, what happened?" Biyu asked with concern.

"Ugh, it feels like he is watching me!" Hyun-ae replied, putting her hands over her eyes and leaning over the table.

"Jacob?" Biyu asked.

"Yes, that stupid pervert had the gall to spy on me while I was showering," Hyun-ae replied.

Biyu's face scrunched up into a grimace.

"Who does he think he is? The king of anything?" Jong-suk asked.

"More like the king of peeping toms," Biyu remarked.

"Looking back, I think he is the one who ejaculated all over my roof. I thought it was Edward," Hyun-ae said.

"Ugh, nasty," Jong-suk remarked.

"I highly doubt he is human just like Edward. He managed to get on my roof without a ladder and a rope," Hyun-ae said.

"And I remember he jumped over the fence of your inn in one leap," Jong-suk added.

"He is definitely not human," Biyu said.

"We really need to deal with these monsters before we or anyone gets hurt, or even murdered," Jun suggested.

"We haven't done anything to stop them yet," Biyu said.

"And it's why I've been doing research when I had the chance. Recently, I found something interesting." Jun said, pulling out his phone.

"I read that these types of "vampires" can only be killed if they are dismembered and their remains get burned. Unfortunately, only other "vampires" can dismember them. They are not like the classic vampires that die from sunlight and stakes," Jun explained.

"What are we going to do?" Jong-suk asked.

"Killing them is not the best solution because it's a good chance we will get ourselves killed," Jun said.

"We should drive them out of town," Jun suggested.

"We will have to see if things will go according to plan," Biyu said.

Meanwhile...

"That's it! I'm tired of this!" Jacob shouted to himself.

"I can't just sit here and do nothing. She won't notice me! How is she not noticing me?!"

"No matter how hard she tries to get me away from her, it's not working!"

Jacob puts on a stolen t-shirt he stole from a department store and went away to look for Hyun-ae.

The four friends split up into pairs to head home.

Jong-suk who happened to live closer to Hyun-ae left with her.

"See ya! Let's get together during winter break." Jong-suk said, waving at Jun and Biyu before departing with Hyun-ae.

"Hey, Jong-suk, could you do me a favor?" Hyun-ae asked.

"Yeah?" Jong-suk said, listening attentively.

"Because I think that shirtless perv is after me and watching me right now, is it okay if you come over to my place and hang out? He might think we are a couple." Hyun-ae asked.

"Oh yes, definitely. Anything for a friend." Jong-suk said.

"Thank you so much!" Hyun-ae said, nearly crying tears of joy.

The two friends walked in the direction of Hyun-ae's home.

Jacob looked around, searching for Hyun-ae.

I can smell her. But where is she? Jacob thought.

He continued following Hyun-ae's scent.

Hey, she seems closer now. Jacob thought with excitement. He started running in the direction of Hyun-ae's scent.

When he finally spotted Hyun-ae, he stopped dead in his tracks. His jaw dropped, his eyes widened with disbelief.

Hyun-ae is walking with Jong-suk, holding his hand as they went.

It's him! Jacob thought, clenching his teeth and fists.

"I knew it. He's her boyfriend! He is seriously getting into my nerves. I will show him." Jacob fumed.

Jacob followed the pair as they went to Hyun-ae's home.

Jang family inn

"Who was the Greek goddess that is the protector of young girls?" Jong-suk asked.

"Artemis" Hyun-ae replied.

Jong-suk nodded his head.

"Yes!" Hyun-ae cheered.

The two friends continued studying.

After finishing the study session, they continued hatching a plan.

"How about we talk about

"Oh man, we forgot about that shirtless pervert," Hyun-ae said.

"Oh no, him," Jong-suk said, grimacing.

Hyun-ae tensed up, still traumatized from the shower incident.

"He..he made me feel...dirty.." Hyun-ae stammered.

Jong-suk gasps softly and slightly widened his eyes. He moved closer to Hyun-ae, placing a hand on her hand.

"I don't know what I did to deserve being tortured by him. What did I even do to deserve this?" Hyun-ae said tearfully.

"Hyun-ae, it's not your fault," Jong-suk assured.

Hyun-ae sighed quietly and smiled hopefully.

"The therapist said that same," Hyun-ae remarked.

"We have to do something. If we don't do anything, he's probably going to do the unthinkable next. The police seem to be powerless against him because he is too fast. We don't know when he will strike next." Hyun-ae said.

Jacob stood three meters away from the Jang Family Inn. He looked around to make sure nobody is watching, he spotted a police car nearby and got startled. He hid and eyed the police car, using his werewolf senses. He can see it was the same police officers who chased him, Lee and Shin.

Lee and Shin stared at the Jang Family Inn and then back in their cruiser.

"He must be hiding somewhere, knowing that we are here," Shin whispered.

"He seems to be one clever bastard," Lee remarked.

Jacob placed his hands in the pocket of the stolen hoodie he is currently wearing and walked slowly toward the Jang inn, walking past the gate to find the secret entrance.

Shin gasped and quickly tapped Lee's shoulder. Lee sharply turned to Shin and then out the windshield of the cruiser.

"That man looks suspicious," Shin remarked.

"Looks like we are dealing with more than one suspect," Lee said.  The two officers exited their vehicle and power walked towards the suspicious hoodie-wearing character.

They knocked on the gate of the Jang inn.

Hyun-ae looked toward the front door upon hearing the knocks. She and Jong-suk got up and walked toward the front door to answer. Hyun-ae opens the front door and then opened the front gate. Jong-suk remained behind Hyun-ae.

"Hello, good afternoon," Lee greeted.

"Oh, hello officers. Good afternoon," Hyun-ae replied.

"We are here to ask if you've seen a man wearing a dark gray hoodie and sweatpants around here. We just saw him walk by your home a minute ago," Shin asked.

"No, not recently. I was inside the whole time," Hyun-ae answered.

"Okay, we will remain here for the time being. If anything happens, don't hesitate to give us a call," Shin said.

They exchanged bows before departing.

Hyun-ae closed the gate and turned to Jong-suk.

"This just keeps getting better and better," Hyun-ae said sarcastically.

Noticing the sarcasm in Hyun-ae's voice, Jong-suk nodded his head in agreement.

"First that shirtless and sex-crazed weirdo and now a shady-looking character donning a hoodie?" Jong-suk bellowed.

"If there's a god out there, then they must be the biggest jerk ever," Jong-suk remarked.

Jacob watched from behind a crate. He had stealthily entered the Jang inn again through the secret entrance.

"That was close. The cops must have seen me." Jacob whispered to himself. He watched as Hyun-ae and Jong-suk walk back inside before getting out of his hiding place and crawling on the ground until he got to a window closely to Hyun-ae's location.

"Do you want to stay for dinner?" Hyun-ae asked Jong-suk.

"Absolutely," Jong-suk replied.

"Okay, yes. We will be having hot pot," Hyun-ae said.

Nightfall

After eating dinner, Hyun-ae and Jong-suk played video games in the living room while simultaneously calling Biyu and Jun.

Seohyun watched while reading her favorite books.

Mr. and Mrs. Jang went out to run errands to renovate their home.

"Ha! You lost!" Hyun-ae shouted.

"Ah, you got me!" Jong-suk said, trying not to laugh.

Seohyun looked up from her book before diverting her attention back to reading.

Outside the Jang inn, Jacob watched the trio from outside. He had been watching for hours now. He glared enviously at Jong-suk and clenched his fists.

"You....you....you!!!! Jacob thought.

Fuming with envy and rage, Jacob bites his bottom lip and closed his eyes shut. He clutches the stolen hoodie he is wearing by the chest.

You...you...you...you...YOU!!!!

You ruin everything!

I hate men like you...!

You sleazy damn bastard.

Jacob looked back at the window, seeing that Hyun-ae and Jong-suk are no longer playing video games. They are now on their phones, most likely speaking with someone. Seohyun is still reading her books.

An idea popped into his head.

"Soon she will see what's good," Jacob said. He hurriedly crawled away.

"And so the cops said..." Hyun-ae said. She stopped in mid-sentence upon hearing items falling with thuds outside.

"What happened?" Biyu asked from the other line.

"Something fell outside..." Hyun-ae replied.

Jong-suk looked in the direction of the mysterious noise.

Seohyun stopped reading and looked around with apprehension.

"Seohyun, hide!" Hyun-ae ordered. Seohyun nodded frantically before running upstairs.

"Jong-suk, let's go," Hyun-ae whispered. Jong-suk follows Hyun-ae into the kitchen. Hyun-ae grabbed a large handmade butcher knife and Jong-suk grabbed a vegetable knife. Hyun-ae slowly opened the front door and looked outside. She and Jong-suk slowly creep out, closing the front door behind them.

"Whoever is out there, we know you're here. If you think you scaring us, it's not working." Hyun-ae shouted.

Jong-suk heard rustling from behind and gasped, slowly looking behind him. He looked away from Hyun-ae and examined his surroundings. It was hard to see due to the darkness and there aren't a lot of lanterns to shine lights on the property.

Jong-suk turned his attention to Hyun-ae again.

Not even ten seconds later, a hand grabs Jong-suk's shoulder, startling him and making him yelp. Jong-suk immediately whirled around and waved the vegetable knife. Someone grunted in pain. Hyun-ae immediately turned around, gasping in horror.

Standing behind her and Jong-suk, a man wearing a dark gray hoodie and sweatpants. There was a tear on his hoodie caused by Jong-suk slashing it with a knife. The hooded man slowly looked up, his eyes now on Hyun-ae and Jong-suk.

The pair gasp in horror upon seeing the hooded man's face. It was Jacob...

Jong-suk walked backward toward Hyun-ae. They point their knives at Jacob. Jacob puts down his hood to fully reveal his face.

Hyun-ae remembered what one of the police officers, Shin, told her. His words echoed in her head.

It turned out the hooded man and Jacob are the same person.

Hyun-ae didn't know what to do. She can't just run back inside the house to call the police. Jacob might outrun her and capture her before she can even touch the front doorknob.

She has no other choice but to face Jacob.

Jacob slowly walked toward Hyun-ae and Jong-suk, causing them to walk backward slowly.

"I don't know why you are doing this after everything I did," Jacob said in English.

Hyun-ae and Jong-suk did not answer, not understanding a single word Jacob said and not caring.

"Is this because I watched you from the window and went to your house? I just wanted to make sure you are okay." Jacob said, trying to defend himself.

"Can't you see how much I love you?" Jacob said to Hyun-ae, putting his hands to his chest.

Even though, Jong-suk cannot understand what Jacob said. He inferred based on his body language.

"Why do you keep stalking her? You had the gall to watch her while she was showering and ruined her roof with your gunk!" Jong-suk snapped, not caring if Jacob doesn't understand a single word he said.

Jacob glares, offended by what Jong-suk said.

He must be saying "Stay away from her!" Jacob thought.

"You sleazy bastard!" Jacob shouted, jumping into the air in a blink of an eye. Hyun-ae and Jong-suk let out a startled gasp.

When Jacob landed on the ground, he pounced on Jong-suk, pinning him on the ground. Jong-suk landed on the ground on his back, blood trickling from his right nostril, screaming in pain and groaning. Jacob grabbed each of Jong-suk's arms with each hand, staring dead into Jong-suk's eyes. Jong-suk turned around and closed his eyes, not wanting to stare back.

"Jong-suk!" Hyun-ae screamed in horror, upon seeing Jong-suk's nose bleeding.

"You took her from me. You stole her from me. You think you are so special, don't you?" Jacob fumed quietly.

Jacob's hands felt unnaturally hot on Jong-suk's arms. Jong-suk kicked his legs around and tried to break free. He groaned in pain, it felt like someone pressed two hot iron rods on his arms.

"Now, you are going to regret that you messed with me!" Jacob shouted, spitting on Jong-suk's face, and lifting up one of his hands. He balled up the hand into a fist.

But before Jacob can strike Jong-suk, Hyun-ae charged towards Jacob, screaming as she went and struck the butcher knife onto Jacob's back as hard as she could. The knife slashed Jacob's back, causing him to cry out in pain and let go of Jong-suk. Jacob rolled over and landed on the ground face down. Hyun-ae looked at the butcher knife, seeing Jacob's blood on it. When she struck Jacob, it felt like she was trying to cut a stone pillar.

"That was so weird, he felt hard like stone," Hyun-ae quietly told herself.

Jong-suk exhaled sharply and slowly got up to his feet, clutching one of his arms. He slowly walked towards Hyun-ae. Hyun-ae dropped the butcher knife and ran towards Jong-suk, helping him stand.

Hyun-ae spotted the red handprints on Jong-suk's biceps that Jacob imprinted. Jong-suk winced and groaned in pain.

"That bastard!" Hyun-ae snapped bitterly, looking back at Jacob who is still lying on the ground.

"We better get Corporal Shin and get you to the hospital!" Hyun-ae shouted at Jong-suk.
