~Story~

Born in the countryside of Warwick, New York, Matthew Crover has had a very tough childhood: his mother died when he was 2, his father died when he was 8.

Devastated by the death of his parents, young Crover turned to professional wrestling and was in love with Bret Hart and Stone Cold Steve Austin. He then trained for 15 months at Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) and he would make his CZW debut at age 23 in an epic fashion: coming up short to the late great Danny Havok, earning his respect in the process.

Matthew would soon rebound by signing with Ring of Honor, four years after his wrestling debut in CZW, winning the Television Title on two separate occasions: the first defeating Dragon Lee and the second beating Matt Taven, earning the respect for his hard work ethic to be the best.

Soon after almost 3 years with ROH, Crover traveled to New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he was dangerously underrated, where the only title he ever held was the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship. He would hold onto that title for almost a year before

Three years went by and Matthew left for America where he got a call from WWE for a tryout. He said sure, but what he didn't know was that he was jobbing to Braun Strowman in a squash match under his real name. He accepted the squash, destroyed by the Monster Among Men, and took his leave.

He described the experience in an interview with Inside The Ropes about his tryout and how he rejected the contract:

"I enjoyed it, I really did. I thought I was going to be signed, but I didn't make the cut. Vince McMahon thought I was too bland as a wrestler, thought I needed more 'pizazz'. I would, if he would give me the chance, but Triple H, man, he was such an awesome guy. He talked with me about my match with Braun and he said that I didn't make the cut, but he wanted me to sign with NXT. I thought about signing, but Braun bruised my back and almost broke it. I had to decline. I told Hunter my thoughts and my rejection. I thought he would be pissed, but he absolutely understood what I was talking about. He said if I ever changed my mind, I'd give him a call as he and I exchanged numbers. I'll always appreciate the door being left open for me."

Matthew soon signed with IMPACT Wrestling and found an old friend: Holly Letkman, AKA Rosemary, formerly known as Courtney Rush in the indies.

They began to catch up and become best friends again as Matthew is now a member of Decay, but Holly starts to fall in love with Matt after some time. Does he feel the same as her?
