~Story~

Born in Bergen County, New Jersey, Kenta Yamazaki had a bad time growing up, as he would get caught up in gangs, but refrain from getting tattoos, knowing how it would affect his family.

However, he would resort to underage drinking and just being an absolute menace to his mother a wrestling legend, and his father who wanted him to be a man, but Kenta never cared about them, until one day.

While driving home, Kenta would be arrested for a DUI with an blood alcohol content of 0.10%, spending 15 days in jail, his own parents telling him that he's dead to them.

Feeling that was a wakeup call, Kenta would start crying, thinking that he was needing something to get him to wake up from the fantasy he was living in.

Required to take part in AA for 90 days and rehab for 30 days, Kenta would state in an interview...

"They were the worst 120 days of my life. I never felt so miserable and throughout that period, I cried most of the time, I didn't eat, I didn't drink, I didn't sleep, I was just so upset about how much of an asshole and a prick to not just to me but to my dad, including my own mom, a legend in the pro wrestling. I knew I spat in her face and took it all for granted. I had to apologize and make up for everything, and AA and rehab were the best thing that's ever happened to me. Ever since that those days, I never drank again. I'll never drink a beer, cocktail, or a glass of wine, even if people paid me."

After his 120 day sentence, Kenta would return home and would work his butt off to earn back the love and respect from his parents. In two years, his mother, the legendary Itzuki Yamazaki, offered to train her son in the world of pro wrestling, as a way to make a living.

Kenta refused at first, but he knew he needed to do something with his life rather than be a loser, so he took the offer from his mom and was trained for 15 months before finally making his debut in Japan, for All Japan Pro Wrestling, his mom as his manager.

After a few matches, Kenta won over the crowd with his athleticism and skills, but he wanted to learn more, so Itsuki brought in Yoshiaki Fujiwara, a friend of hers, who trained him in MMA.

Wanting more for his career, Kenta decided to try the UFC and surprisingly, it worked in his favor, winning the UFC Lightweight Championship on two occasions, arguably the first Japanese-American wrestler to wrestle and take part in the UFC.

However, it would last for a few years as Kenta decided to go back to pro wrestling, debuting in New Japan, but on May 23, 2012, a scandal in Japanese wrestling had occurred, Masami Odate, better known as Io Shirai, and her boyfriend at the time, Kazushige Nosawa, were arrested for allegedly smuggling 75 grams of marijuana.

Kenta was outraged by the news, but he sought an opportunity to help Masami and listen to her side of the story and see what he could do to help. Masami, upon meeting him, while in her cell, was a bit skeptical about how he could help her, but when he explained his story, she vented as he listened intently.

Feeling sorry for her, Kenta offered support and advice, making Masami feel so grateful that although he's slightly younger than her, about two years, she considered him one of the best friends she's ever had.

Although released from jail, Masami, much like Kenta, worked hard to regain the love and respect from her family and peers, to continue her career as a wrestler as her relationship with her now ex-boyfriend had ended and another wrestler, Takya Sugi had proclaimed that the liaison for Mexican based wrestling promotion AAA Masahiro Hayashi, AKA Rey Mysterio's wrestling gear designer, had told Sugi to put the marijuana in the paintings that Masami and Nosawa were gifted to by a fan.

Speaking about his time helping his friend, Kenta would speak about it in a 2017 interview with PWI...

"I felt sorry for her. I mean, to be in the situation for being arrested and put in a prison cell, the same situation I was in growing up, even if she did nothing wrong, it was heartbreaking. She was venting and venting and venting as she was just wanting to get her life back on track. From what I gathered, Io matured and had shown that she could hang with us in the sport. And I'm not gonna knock her for it now because one, it's f**king stupid, and, shocker, people can change and mature over the course of five years so I don't see any reason to bash her for it now."

Upon hearing the answer, Masami would tear up and cry, knowing how much of a sweet man Kenta happened to be, and how caring he was to not see her differently when she was going through that time.

Praised for his charitable acts and his actions for helping people through the times he went through, Kenta would earn the IWGP Intercontinental Championship three times, and the Junior Heavyweight Champion on two occasions.

However, Kenta would become friends with another joshi wrestler in the form of Kaori Hosako, better known as Kairi Hojo and Kairi Sane in WWE, through the connections of one Masami Odate. The three would hang out together and would always have fun no matter the situation.

Feeling the need to go back home, Kenta would say goodbye to his friends in Japan and for three years, Yamazaki wrestle for ROH from 2015 to late December of 2018, winning the World Championship two times and a three time ROH Pure Champion, showing off his athleticism and technical ability.

However, on the very first week of January 2019, Kenta secretly signed a contract with WWE, unknown to the wrestling world, with the condition that his first match would be against Kassius Ohno at Takeover: Phoenix, in Arizona.

Upon his signing, Kenta would be required to change up his character and come up with something new.

While coming up with a new look, Yamazaki thought about his time in a gang in New York, and recalled watching a Japanese crime movie franchise called High&Low.

Then, he thought about a character he related to, Norihisa Hyuga, the leader of a gang named Daruma Ikka (family), with a samurai Haori jacket with red and white colors.

Thinking it could be a great look that could help him stand out above the rest in NXT, Kenta requested a Haori that looked like the one from High&Low while adapting the mannerisms and personality from Hyuga, in promos and segments and paying DJ Daruma, the artist who created the song, the copyrights for the song that made the Daruma Ikka infamous, "Voice Of Red", with the money he's earned throughout his career and after turning his life around.

After signing with NXT and getting his character down, Kenta would shock everyone at NXT Takeover: Phoenix, by showing up to accept Kassius Ohno's open challenge and winning.

In the back, he would see his best friends, Masami and Kaori, in tears, so happy to reunite with Kenta, leading them to hug him and let out out their tears, Masami the most for some reason, and to a round of applause from the NXT roster about the three friends reuniting after four long years.

Hanging out with them after the show, Kenta would become best friends with them again and hanging out however they could, but over time, Masami starts to fall for Kenta once Kaori got called up to Smackdown and would come up with ways to tell him that she always had feelings for him for the past seven years, ever since she went through the scandal in 2012.

The question is, does he feel the same as her?

(A/N: Okay, so this is something I've been wanting to do for a while now and I plan on doing this story once the timing is right.

If you guys want to know if you would be interested because this future story was something I've been wanting to do for WWA in regards to Oshiro and Kana, but I thought this was more appropriate after reading the lyrics for the song I just put on here.

So, yeah, I wanted to create this OC and try to do something different since the OC is a second generation wrestler and the son of Itsuki Yamazaki, one half of the legendary Japanese wrestling tag teams, the Jumping Bomb Angels. It was very interesting to learn about, so there will be some history being taught in this future book.

That's really about it.

See ya.)
