~Backstory~

Born in Mine, Yamaguchi, Japan with his older brother and sister, Kaito Iwatani, much like his older sister, loved pro wrestling growing up as the two would actually run away from home to join up in training.

Kaito went for the New Japan dojo while Mayu went for Stardom, as they would train very hard and very well together as the two would travel the world in pairs, so that way they wouldn't be alone.

Although, the two would be separated a couple of times, Kaito would always hang out with his older sister, being that much of a loving baby brother.

However, when March 2020 came around, the world shut down and Kaito and Mayu would both be separated due to restrictions for health, but a month into the pandemic, Kaito would be tested positive for Covid-19, causing him to isolate in his apartment for a few weeks, even have to leave his cat outside his bedroom, asking Mayu to care for it every now and then as he isolates.

But, on May 23rd, 2020, Kaito's world would continue to shatter as he learns that one of his longtime friends and fellow wrestler, Hana Kimura had passed away, as he would come to learn that the reason she passed was due to suicide from bullying she's gotten online.

Dedicating his next match to Hana, Kaito would pick up a victory, and by celebrating, he pointed up with tears down his face.

Showing support for the Kimura family, Kaito would donate 1,000,000 yen of his own money to Remember Hana, the charity Kyoko would establish in April of 2021, where in that time, Kaito would fall in love with a non wrestler female named Miko, who would go to his shows despite all the pain he goes through to put on a show.

Despite the hardships he went through, Kaito would bounce back and return to wrestling, winning Championships and being that overall of a great wrestler, and just when everything was going well for him after 11 years of experience in wrestling, on April 21st, 2022, Kaito would attempt the Shooting Star Press off the top rope, but before he could perform the move, Kaito would fall forward off the top turnbuckle, being so sweaty after a 25 minute bout, end up falling on the top of his head and was immobile for the rest of the match.

His opponent at the time, El Desperado, knew that something was wrong, and didn't know how to react.

Instead, Desperado covered Kaito and got the win, but Iwatani was taken to the hospital to assess the situation while Desperado would go with his best friend, upset by what just happened.

Unfortunately, it was revealed that Kaito ended up with a neck injury that was so severe that the C-3 and C-4 disks were dislocated and broken, causing the the doctors advised him to retire immediately, lest there be more damage to his neck as surgery was needed.

And to make matters worse, after being discharged with a neck brace, Kaito would find his girlfriend, who he loved more than anyone, sleeping with another man, in his own bed.

Hurt, not by his injury, even though he is, but feeling betrayed, Kaito would end the relationship by telling Miko that he has 15 minutes to leave his apartment and never return, causing her to break down into tears, even though Kaito would be in tears as well from the breakup.

Miko would leave and never returned in Kaito's life, not even knowing he was hit with a career-ending injury at the time.

At the next show, Kaito, in a neck brace, much to the shock of the fans, announced his early retirement with his entire family at ringside, but Mayu, his older sister, was very upset and was crying to see her baby brother retire after a decade in the sport.

A few days later, Kaito underwent surgery as the disks and ligaments were repaired, causing him to wear a neck brace for six weeks until his neck was healed fully.

A few months went by after his sudden retirement and Kaito was left with nothing to do, but he would soon hear that his sister's memoir was being turned into a feature film, called "Runaway Wrestler", that talked about Mayu and her hard life before wrestling.

Reaching out to the director through Mayu, Kaito would ask if he could help out with the auditions for who would play his sister in the movie. The director was ecstatic and after going through many girls who looked like Mayu, none ever came close to the girl who would go by Anna Hirai, a stage actress.

Kaito would become enamored by Anna and would offer to train her with the girls, who would give her advice as they act out the scenes for the movie, but over time, Anna would start to develop feelings for Kaito after so many training sessions with him.

Little does she know, Kaito is still feeling hurt from his recent breakup, causing her to take it easy with confessing, but Iwatani, he would start to develop feelings for her too.
