Chapter 1: Brightness's Death

Lion and his small group passed through where they lost Mallow, many moons ago. Cloud had loved her and felt guilty for how he treated last time, Forgiveness was far from his goal.  Feather bounced along as they trotted, needed to get to where cave was.

Cloud huffed and rose his head to speak " Lion... We should rest" Cloud meowed, " Why should I listen to beggar like you?" Lion spat back, Mist pushed her way up. " Lion, Let us rest, After It won't be good for our kits" Lion opened his mouth but grunted. The group had settled, It had grown over the moons. Cloud dug back in his memories, how he failed to be brave and begged like kit to return to the group.

Lion nudged a fat rabbit to Mist and Feather, as he tossed a mouse at Cloud. The golden tom padded over to eat with she cats. Cloud look at his prey, He ate alone. A sharp nudge prod on his side, he looked over to see Dan, a former loner who had joined. " Eat the rest" Cloud spoken first, sinking his head in his paws. Dan gobbled meat and mewed " You still miss her?" Cloud nodded. " Things will get better, I promise" Cloud snorted at words of Dan.

The moon had risen, crickets were singing and fireflies were shimmering, The milky moon spotlight shining. Cloud flipped and flopped in his nest, He heard her cry and her sweet voice, He jolted up, Pair of eyes glared at him and group-mates, Eyes vanished. Cloud shook his head, He just imaged that! He drifted back to bed.

' Wake up!" Dan whispered, he prodded Cloud, " Cloud! Wake up!" Dan poked him. Cloud  looked up, " It's Dawn and we are heading out." Dan mewed while yawning. Cloud leapt on his paws and he padded over to puddle, his tail whipped up water to his face. And his paws swiped his face. He shook his face, They started to travel, Cloud's paws tinkled as they walked.

Feather, a bright happy she cat skipped and hopped all over the place, Feather had bright spirit out of all, Mist had a happy spirit as Lion had dark and firm spirit. Cloud rolled his eyes and trotted. A rustle from trees and bushes froze everyone.

A wave of cats scooped down and attacked, small war started, Cloud felt himself being pressed on the ground as brown tom, sliced his belly, He kicked the tom and slashed at Brown cat's nose. Lion wrestled with grab speckled she cat, she gave him 'V' mark upon his ear. Lion snarled , he was able to pin his opponent, sank his teeth in the shoulder and gripped on, blood spilled and fur tufts fell, Lion sliced his claws on flank of she cat, speckled she cat scratched his neck.

Mist rolled and fought with ginger tom, Cloud spotted Pine and her kits, A massive tabby tom was going for a blow! Cloud charged and barreled into him, He saw Feather on tree, she aiming for a brown tabby she cat with scar on her chest. Feather and brown she cat leapt from tree to tree, swiping at each other, sometime landing a hit. Suddenly a yelp rippled, Feather dangled from the tree, brown cat pinned her tail. " I am Calamity! Cat who brings disaster and death!" Calamity yowled as she let Feather drop, Feather screamed as  sicken sound of cracking bones rang out.

Feather lied limped, her jaw tad crooked and down, her body broken. Blood swelled from recent wounds. " Take rest of these scums to our camp as prisoners!" Calamity yowled as enemies yowled in victory. Cloud looked at the leader, She looks like someone.
